@Weird Tales yes, but would it be OK for me to go into all-out body horror or will that clash with the spirit of your game?
@Weird Tales have you seen my deliberations about doubting if my idea of "biological mad genius" would be compatible with this game if people are going to go all-out and I will have to follow them, which will result in much body horror?
@Bright_Ops
No-one, yet. I was referring to Yig's idea of having a motley band with wildly different themes and power levels.
@Yig
That too. Surely you could see how the gunslinger might feel rather....underwhelming beside God of Hunt, for example?
@Yig pretentious? How so?
@Weird Tales and Suicide Squad(well, new film) has a mystic too.
I don't have problem with mystical characters per se as long as they're done with a certain finesse, tastefullness and originality. However, straight-up "hey, I'm a son of god of war" or "hey, I'm a vampire, complete with aversion to crosses and stuff" is just reeks of the four-colour morning cartoon, whereas I expected something more low-key, more....gritty, I think? Something closer to the Runaways than to Avengers, if you will, atmosphere-wise.
I made my current character under the assumption that we'd have to start low-level and carefully prepare our moves. So I envisioned for her down-to-earth motivations, thought about her sentiments and such. I expected other characters to be fundamentally human too - more like Batman's or Spiderman's antagonists than Thor. This character would thematically clash with those two(as I see it, at least; I may be mistaken), and while I could change her to fit into four-colour game, I somehow feel that me going all-out on body horror is not something that would be fitting either. So I see no real solution but to drop this altogether, to not unnecessary frustrate myself and others.
>Demigod
>Literal vampire with mystical vulnerabilities.
And I'm out. I was enrolling in a game based on Suicide Squad, not bloody Avengers.
To be completely honest, I'm too very interested in that question. I was acting under the assumption that we have to be somewhat more subdued than a literal demigods and stuff. I might have to rethink my character if that's the universe where the Earth is the hub between realities and everyone and their mother had third kind of contact with extradimensional visitors.
@Progenitus
>her direct value in combat being limited to being a combat medic.

Won't she like, be able to know how to kill any man she sees by lightly touching specific points on his body to direct the bloodflow and adjust the pressure or doing similar hokuto-no-ken bullshit? Or use her biology mastery to grow superhuman minions in tubes or do things like constantly keep her body on the and beyond the peak of human capabilities through manipulation of endocrinal and nervous system? Or just brew contact poisons that will immediately kill anything that they touch and keep them nearby at all times just in case of a combat breaking out?

I am not really complaining or criticizing, considering my own power, simply asking because you might be belittling the nature of your ability.

Well now that you mention it, I might add pressure point attacks to her panoply of combat moves, since it seems perfectly in theme for her to have.
Minions, alterations and poisons are fine and dandy, but those are not DIRECT actions - she'd have to actually, you know, spend some time and effort crafting them, and that's part for the course for any "mad scientist".

<Snipped quote by Progenitus>

you edited your post, but I remember you mentioning her having incredible probability determining skills or having superhuman thought processing skills. Anyway if she is just a combat medic then that's perfectly fine and I don't see any problems.

I most certainly did not edit it after your post.
>probability determining skills
>superhuman thought processing skills
Curious. What do you mean by that? Some sort of bullet-time perception-effect and superpowered analytical power listing enemies' weaknesses and providing the motions to defeat them?

@Mr_pink
I strongly urge you to make a list of spells your character knows, or at the very least concise list of "themes" and how good he's at particular ones. Otherwise the power you're proposing is "do whatever by spending a little time", which would encroach on a spotlight of everyone else in the team.
@Weird Tales ok, I think you've lost me there. How am I even supposed to "abuse" her powers in the fight? She's largely non-combative addition to the team, her direct value in combat being limited to being a combat medic.
