Current Getting new RP ideas is agonizing when you realize you need to shelf them until you're less busy.

Location: The Limo --> Hotel
Interacting With: the Justice League
Date: March 15th

Joel exchanged on and off conversation with Claire as they sat in the Limo, enjoying the alcohol as he quite easily finished two beers on the way to the hotel, he figured in their night of celebration, they would be the first of many. He was pleased with those who had been there so far. As they arrived at the hotel, Joel climbed out of the Limo, looking up to the building which was before him, Joel let out a sharp whistle, taking it all in. He didn't say anything, he figured his whistle gave off enough about his impressions as he glanced over to Bob, simply chuckling to the man's quip and giving him a gentle shake of the head.

"I'm afraid not, though I certainly wish." Moving inside, Joel glanced around the lobby, taking all of the luxury in. This could have been the entirety of the reward, no need for the train or trip, he could have stayed there and been quite happy. However, while the others were rightly interested in their rooms, and even he was, he was more interested in Paris itself, he wanted to make the most of their time there before they left, after all. Shifting his bag over his shoulder again, he moved over to the group forming by the check-in desk, tucking his free hand into his pocket as he allowed one of the others to take charge.

Watching as Risa approached him, Lucas took another long drink before placing the glass on the tray of a passing waiter, his eyes darted around, the guards seemed a little more on-edge now, one or two moving to wander down the hall. He figured they'd done a radio check, gotten no reply from a few of the guards and were now heading off to check, wouldn't be too long before they had an actual situation on their hands. Turning back to Risa, he nodded, gently taking her hand as he began to move toward the stairs.

"I might have some neanderthals of my own on their way soon, so the sooner we get out, the better." He commented, continuing up the stairs and out the front door. Moving as casually as he was able down the stairs and toward the cards, it wasn't too long before Lucas heard the commotion inside, shouting between guards and screams from guests as the security ran about, securing the building.

"That definitely isn't my fault." Lucas assured Risa as they reached their car, opening the door on his side, he climbed in, waiting for her to do the same before he placed the key in the ignition. Looking ahead, he saw a few guards, still dressed in suits, but with their weapons brandished, lining up ahead of the car and looking in their direction. As they brought their weapons to bear, Lucas cursed, turning the key.

"Maybe a little my fault." As he began to reverse, Lucas was immensely happy for the bulletproof armour the car was covered in. Spinning the car around to face away from the guards, he hit the accelerator as hard as he could, taking off down the road away from the mansion. But things were not done, a few guards had gotten into a pair of cars of their own, and were making their way after the two, a pair of men to each car, one to drive and one to shoot. Reaching over, Lucas passed Risa his gun.

"Could you be a dear and get them off our ass, love?" Continuing to drive, Lucas disliked the fact now that they were in the country, exposed and unable to move between buildings, alley-ways and traffic, they simply had to drive as evasively as they could, and get rid of their tail as soon as they were able.

"I'm not sure Braun wanted you to leave yet!" Lucas added, joking at perhaps the worst possible time.
@Garden Gnome
Just puppet Oliver for the time being, don't kill him off or have him do anything drastic, but basically just have him with you so you can complete it, I don't want to have to stop the RP and wait.

Remaining fairly silent as the conversation continued, Lucan spent the time looking through his things and making sure they were all together and ready for the journey. He didn't have a great deal other than what was already in his pack, placing his belt and sheathe on over his armour, he shifted his head up just as Kyra called out for the group to get moving. The call to him was well past due, he was more than ready to get going and he'd been honestly looking forward to it. Moving outside, he looked over the wagon, grabbing an apple from his pack tossing the bag into it before he moved off to the stables by the tavern.

Approaching Brie, Lucan gently placed his hand on the mane of the horse as he fed her the apple. Waiting for a few moments as the horse fed on the apple, he eventually dropped the core to the ground as he hauled himself up onto Brie's back, taking the reins and moving out of the stable, back over toward the wagon just in time to see Kyra take off out of town and down the road. He didn't much care to be particularly wary or take any sort of leadership, he was there to fight if it was needed, otherwise he just planned to trot along with the wagon until they reached their destination.

As he sat atop Brie, looking over at the others, Lucan remained relatively silent, taking in their group. It was quite the odd bunch, from the half-orc to the elf bard. Looking at each of them, he imagined they would never be the kind of bunch to work together, at least they wouldn't be the kind of bunch you heard songs or stories about. In a way, Lucan was appreciative for that.
For those of you guys who haven't posted for your Operation yet - i'm going to need an update on whether or not you're still here. If you are, and you've been waiting on replies from your partner, then just get a post in without them and puppet their character, it's over the time limit for not posting for a large number of you.

Please, let me know if you're still interested or what's happening, otherwise i'm going to start assuming certain people's operations failed.
I'll have a post up likely within the next few hours, finally got some time to sit down and make a post.
Certainly interested but I may lose my spot due to time zones, either way, i'll be keeping an eye out.

Lucas shifted over to a corner of the party, idly sipping his whisky as he watched Risa approach Mr. Braun - the man looked a sleaze, and watching as he kissed the back of Risa's hand and took her to dance prompted more than a few large drinks from his glass. Of course, he imagined Risa would be far more displeased at the events than even he was as he watched from afar, waiting for the distraction. When it came, it was fairly obvious, the shattering of the glasses and the clattering of the trays drew everyone's eye, including the guards. Taking another long drink, Lucas set down his empty glass on a table as he passed behind the crowd, making his way off into a hallway, calling to memory the blue-prints of the mansion as he made his way along.

The office was meant to be upstairs, and while there had been a staircase in the ball room, it would have led him right up to waiting guards, distracted or not, he would have been seen. There was however, a balcony further along in a lounge, which - while it lacked any stairs, would be more than sufficient to get upstairs. Shifting down this hall and that, Lucas peer around corners as he went, avoiding any and all patrols as he made his way along.

"Oi! - What are you doin' 'ere?" The thick, accented voice of a member of Braun's private security came from behind Lucas. Turning to face the man, he smiled - though the guard seemed more than displeased to see Lucas. He was still formally dressed, but he had not made an effort to hide his weapon, rather he brandished it out, the sling up over his shoulder, taking more of a standard patrol duty, rather than simply looking tough, which he figured was the main role of the guards in the ball room itself. For the time being, the weapon in the guard's hand was lowered, but still pointed vaguely in Lucas' direction.

"Oh, well I uh, I was looking for the bathroom, but I suppose I got myself a tad lost." This seemed to ease the guard slightly, but he kept his distance, watching Lucas closely.

"Well, allow me to escort you, it's back this way, sir." The guard waved a free hand back in the direction Lucas had come, toward the party once more - but Lucas had no intention of going back that way just yet.

"I think it's right over here..." Lucas turned and took a half-step back away from the guard, who was immediately more agitated. Making his way toward him, the guard set a hand on Lucas' arm, just as he'd intended. "Sir, I insist you co-"

The guard was cut off by a swift and sudden punch to his throat, dazing him as he gasped for air and struggled to make much noise. Reaching down, Lucas seized the man's trigger finger, still resting on the guard of its weapon, and reared it back with a loud snap. Taking hold of the man's tie, Lucas pulled, making him stumble forward to trip over Lucas' waiting leg, curling his leg back up, the man fell right onto Lucas' knee, collapsing onto the floor painfully. Lucas knelt down, knee pressed into the guard's neck, and glanced up and down the hall. Weakly the Guard attempted to push away Lucas' knee, but it was to no avail, before long he lost consciousness, having barely made a sound.

Letting out a sigh as he stood up, Lucas momentarily adjusted his tie and Jacket before dragging the guard off into a nearby closet, leaving him there with his weapon - after taking the ammunition from it. Continuing on to the lounge he'd been looking for, he looked up to the balcony, it was set a storey up, a few marble columns holding it up and large wooden bookcase on the opposite wall. Looking it over momentarily, he took a run toward one of the columns, he made a high jump, setting his foot square on the column as he pushed off onto the other, setting both feet on this one as he pushed off yet again, toward the bookcase.

Landing on his feet atop the bookcase just barely, Lucas struggled for a moment or two not to fall back down to the floor. Turning back around, he leapt forward, holding out his hands and grasping the railing of the balcony, letting out a quiet sigh of relief, he pulled himself up and over, adjusting his jacket once more as he glanced up the halls, continuing on to the office.

Braun's mansion was massive, he couldn't hear anything going on at the ball room now, it was on the opposite side of the building, and he doubted they'd be able to hear him even if it was quite loud. Moving to the office, he spotted a pair of guards outside, perhaps the only over this side of the building, after all, it wouldn't have been easy to get this far, and especially upstairs, in most cases. Reaching back under his jacket, he unclipped the strap of his holster and approached.

"Evening." Lucas greeted rather smugly as the two men raised their weapons toward Lucas, not saying anything as they figured he'd probably get the message that he shouldn't have been there - despite Lucas' remarkable effort to look like he belonged. Stopping for a moment, he held up his hands, allowing both the men to get a bit closer before he brought up his right leg. Kicking away one of the man's weapons, he reached out to grab the arm of the other, pulling it passed him, a few shots went off into the wall, but from the lack of any alarm or screams, he assumed they'd gone unnoticed. Flipping the man over his shoulder, Lucas drew his thunderbolt, putting a quick and silenced end to the engagement with a shot to each man's head.

Bringing his weapon back around toward the door, Lucas shot the lock, the door clicking open as its mechanisms were screwed by the bullet. Pushing into the room, he approached the desk, the envelope sitting right in the middle of it. Holstering his pistol once more, he picked it up, pouring the contents out into his hand, a smaller envelope - a letter, and a ring, silver with a black symbol on it, in the shape of an Eastern Dragon. Closing the larger envelope, he set it back where it was and tucked the contents into his suit, moving back out of the room and toward the party as quietly as he was able.

After ensuring the bodies were hidden and his hands were clean of any blood, he made his way back into the ball room silently, taking another drink as he watched Risa, waiting for her to notice him - so that the two could hopefully make their escape before any further incident arose.

"Mir geht es gut, danke" Joel commented toward Wolfgang with a nod, shifting his gaze over to Mr. Lewis once more as he spoke to the last of the winners and brought them all over toward the limo. Joel was still finding some difficulty in enjoying all of this luxury, it wasn't that he didn't like it, he just had never experienced it before, and didn't particularly feel it had been earned in any way. But from those around him, he figured he'd have no trouble enjoying the trip at least to a degree.

Watching Mr. Lewis as he moved off, Joel couldn't help but chuckle as Claire leapt past him into the limo and called out that she had discovered beer. Moving toward the Limo, Joel moved into it far more carefully, and shifted over beside Claire, taking up the beer she offered him, looking over it for a moment, he smirked.

"Just a few more and we can get to part two." He chuckled, reaching over to clink the neck of his bottle against hers before taking a long drink, settling into his seat as the other winners climbed into the limo. Once everyone was in the limo, he set his bag down onto the floor, resting one foot ontop of it idly as he took another long drink, looking over the others. Perhaps he would let go a bit, or at least try to, for the sake of enjoyment, the beer would help with that at the very least.
