Current Getting new RP ideas is agonizing when you realize you need to shelf them until you're less busy.

On the flight over, Marcus had barely slept, it was an old habit mostly. He never liked to sleep in the air, on the way to anywhere, the last time he'd even closed his eyes in a vehicle it had exploded and he'd lost an arm. The only time he got even a little rest was when they were on the ground, he'd pop out, find a nice rock which looked comfortable enough as pillow, and powernap for anywhere between thirty minutes to two hours if he was lucky. He didn't mind, the flight over gave him plenty of time to thing, though he didn't have a lot of interaction with the others aboard.

Some of the others seemed familiar with eachother, others seemed to be keen on solidifying friendships or at least relationships of any regard. Marcus just spent the majority of the flight in silence, staring out the window as he waited for them to arrive. Part of it was himself questioning his decisions, questioning if coming along had been the right decision to make. It wasn't like there was any turning back now, Lisa had made that clear herself before he even got onto the helicopter, he just hoped he wouldn't have any sort of 'buyers remorse' when they actually arrived. The new recruits were an eccentric bunch, but he could work with them well enough, there wasn't any one of them he had any sort of distaste for, the only one he'd sneered at was the big werewolf who'd decided this wasn't for him. Probably for the best.

Marcus was awake when Lisa began to yell over the microphone, and he was offered some mild amusement as others were jolted away. A smirk split his lips as he looked over them, glancing to the cockpit as Amando revealed himself. Once they touched down, Marcus carefully climbed off the helicopter and looked around.

He'd stripped clear of his jacket during the flight, and he was immensely pleased for that. He now wore a plain red t-shirt, his cybernetic arm clear for all to see as he scratched at his chin idly. He waited patiently as the others formed up around him, watching Lisa as she moved to the head of the group as always. He had no questions himself, glancing over the others as he listened quietly to any queries they did have. Once he knew where he was to be bunked however, he moved off, determined to get some real sleep.

Strolling inside, he glanced around, beginning to wander the halls in search of his room. Marcus was in no particular hurry, nor was he desperately enthusiastic at that exact moment of the idea of mingling with some of his new partners or those who worked in the Sanctuary. At that time, Marcus was oblivious to how familiar some of the faces would end up being to him, particularly a few more than others. For now he was in blissful ignorance, idly wandering the halls in search of his room.
I'll be trying to get a post up tonight, i'm finally on break from Uni so I should have the time to tonight! ^^

"I appreciate your input, but I think i'm a better judge of what I am and am not ready to handle." He offered Ragari another smug smile, even as he spat at his feet. Turning to another officer, he gave him a nod. "Go find some food for Ragari, whatever slop there in in the kitchens will do." He gave the officer another nod and sent him on his way. Turning away, he heard the alarms go off as he tilted his head up. He ignored Ragari's words and moved to a nearby console, checking with one of his officers as to what it had been.

Hearing the explanation, it didn't make a great deal of sense to him, at least not at the time. The alarm in relation to the incoming ship certainly made sense, Tom wasn't surprised it'd gotten that close however, it'd been scheduled for the day after. Somehow Tom doubted the catch was Tristan's doing, he probably wouldn't have cared to even get down there in time, he wouldn't have cared until the ship crashed into the tower, and if it had missed and crashed in the city, he probably wouldn't have cared at all. "Have a small team go down to the hangar and process the crew, find out why they came in so ahead of schedule."

Making his way to the elevator, Tom let out a sigh as he sent it back up to the MoR. That day had already been much more back and forth than the average one. Most of his days in the tower since he arrived had been dull, boring affairs with little to nothing actually happening, today was certainly not that. More might have happened on that day which was of particular note than any of his other days at the tower. The alarms were still blaring, and Tom idly tapped his knuckles against his teeth as he waited alone in the elevator, he did wonder if Silvia was involved, it would make sense considering how involved she'd been with everything else that day. He wasn't particularly against her involvement, but things had certainly picked up with her arrival, something he wasn't going to ignore.

As the doors open, he moved out and glanced around. He could see the viewport had been smashed outward, a cool breeze blowing in through it as he looked around. Moving up into the MoR properly, he glanced toward Craig. "Turn those alarms off, what happened?" He asked, wanting to get Craig's two cents on it as he approached Silvia. Kneeling down to her height, he set his hand on her chin and lifted her head slightly. Taking a handkerchief from his pocket, he dabbed away some of the blood. "When they're ready, you might want to get some of the repair team up here to fix that glass. I'll bring Silvia to the medical bay, call Tristan to get off his ass and come back down here." The last part of his order had an almost apologetic tone to it as he carefully lifted up Silvia in a bridal carry. Heading back toward the elevator with her in his arms, he waited for the doors to close before sending it down to the infirmary, sighing as he waited for it to head down, glancing down to the woman in his arms. "Still able to hear me, Ma'am?"
@AbandonedIntel Spose so, think we managed to set things up pretty well, it'll be cool to see how Tara will react (and Daran) when they see him again :P

The flames and the smoke continued to plume up into the night sky from the wreckage, the carnage was clear to see as they got there. Both of the French soldiers were dead, scattered away from the vehicle and essentially mutilated by the shrapnel. One of the Americans, the driver, was half sticking out the front windshield, eyes wide as blood dripped from his mouth.

But Marcus and the other American were not there. A trail of blood led away from the Humvee. The other SEAL had dragged Marcus some of the way, but at the end of the trail he lay dead and alone. Marcus had been found by another group of spec ops who had been watching him, and he was on his way elsewhere.

Hours later he was in a cryogenics tube, frozen and under the examination of scientists and doctors, a team who would be working on him for the next few years, turning Marcus Williams into the Iron Hand.

Chuckling softly at her words, he nodded slowly. Leaning forward, he shrugged his shoulders, eyes drifting over those in the camp for a few moments before they turned back to Tara. "Well, killing'll stop one day, then we'll just have to have one hell of a party to make up for all the ones we missed, eh?" He grinned, watching her for a moment or two before he heard the approaching Humvee. Moving to stand slowly as it came over, he watched the SEAL who spoke up, sighing as he shifted his vest. Nodding to the SEAL, he reached over and grabbed his rifle from where it leaned against the door, turning back toward Tara. "Don't worry, i'll be back before you know it, we got plenty more killing and then much more partying to do after." Chuckling, he moved to the Humvee and climbed inside, giving Tara a nod before patting the door as the driver took off.

The vehicle was clear to see the whole time it drove off, the lights on it making it stand out in the night's darkness as it got further and further away. It wasn't long before it was on the road and moving along. It was still in view when it blew to pieces, too. The explosion was sudden, it came from under, more than likely an IED, but a fireball engulfed the entire vehicle within moments. Smoke plumed upward and the huge explosion was clear to hear for anyone who had been in the village. As the majority of the smoke cleared the humvee was clear, or what was left of it. Part of it was still intact, but other pieces of shrapnel were spread apart every which way, the chances anyone had survived were minimal...

"You know, there's all this talk of me getting rewarded and every time you say it I feel like it's less and less likely." He smirked as he glanced over his shoulder at her, kissing her back gently and chuckling as she shook her behind in his direction. Moving after her, he pulled out a slightly more stable stool to sit across from her, taking a seat as he watched her. "And I assume i'm going to be the one who moves all our furniture in, right?" He smirked as he took a bowl from her, picking up the spoon and stirring about the contents for a moment before taking a spoonful of the stew, bringing it to his mouth and blowing on it before he began to eat.

Chuckling as she began to yawn, he figured that Risa wouldn't last long, once she got particularly sleepy she was usually out before long. And of course it wasn't very long before her face was against the counter and she was sound asleep. Finishing off his stew, he picked up both their bowls and carried them into the kitchen, putting them in the dishwasher before he moved over to her. Carefully, he tucked an arm under her knees and one around her back, picking her up bridal style and out of the kitchen. Taking her down the hall, it wasn't long before he lay her down on their bed, taking a moment or two to tuck her in properly and leaning down to plant a kiss on her cheek. Closing the door to their room, Lucas began to change into something more appropriate for sleeping.

While he was doing so, he heard the door open and close again before someone came down the hall and entered the other bedroom, Lucas assumed that their flatmate was home. He didn't bother to go say hello or anything, he was tired and he figured that Jeremy was as well, besides, they'd only spoken a few times now. Changing before long, Lucas yawned as he climbed into bed along with Risa, settling where he was, he made sure that his usual alarm was off, he had no intention of getting up early the next morning unless Risa made him to, and she was far better than any alarm clock at getting him off his ass. Letting out another long yawn, he rested his head back against the pillow and turned off the bedside lamp, closing his eyes and letting sleep take him.
