Marcus Williams

Location: Dock 32A, boarding the helicopter
Interacting with: No one specific

Listening to Lisa as she spoke, Marcus watched silently as one by one, those present either boarded the helicopter or wandered off back into the night. Some certainly seemed enthusiastic about it, others seemed to come along purely because they had no other choice or nothing better. Honestly Marcus wasn't even sure of his own decision even still, he'd said he would come along, but at the same time was this life really for him? Perhaps it was best if he faded into obscurity. But then again, he wasn't exactly helping anyone by doing that either, the entire reason he had come, he had even said anything, he wanted to make a difference again. Taking another long look out at the city, he stood there for some time in silence, making his last thoughts and decisions.

"Alright." He finally said, plainly and to no one in particular. Turning to the helicopter, he moved toward it and climbed inside, sitting down near the door. He glanced over to the others, saw that plenty of them were settling in to sleep during the flight. He didn't have any such intention, he was used to long nights without sleep, and even he didn't exactly trust the company he was with, at least not enough to completely let his guard down. He reminded himself that this was a good decision, and hoped deeper down that it in fact was. Something was telling him to go through with this, he didn't know what but he figured soon enough he'd know if it was to pay off.

Sighing as he rested his head back, he reached up to take his cap off, tucking it between his seat and the window as he peered out, remaining relatively silent as he would throughout the flight, just waiting to see what would happen. This was either going to be one of the best decisions Marcus made in his life, or possibly the worst. So far, he wasn't sure.

Tom Fisher

Location: Security Offices

Tom offered the pilot a slight smile, nodding at his initial comment. "Of course sir, it is your choice to take that assignment... I suppose if it doesn't interest you then I will contact the GTC, have them send a few correctional officers to pick you up. They'll worry about the paperwork involving the nullification of your contract, confiscation of your ship, cancelling of your license and any other privileges that come with it." He nodded his head as if making a final decision, watching the pilot. While his tone was polite and professional there was a clear message in them, he could take the assignment which Tom had given him or he could lose everything that he currently had, and spend a great deal of the next few years in prison. He couldn't help but chuckle at Ragari's next few comments.

"Ah, yes, of course Miss Adenias has some secret agenda to toss everyone she doesn't like behind bars for no apparent reason. I'm pleased that someone here is smart enough to figure that out." The sarcasm in his voice was palpable as he stood there. "The choice is yours to make, Mr. Ragari, you can serve here as Debute's pilot, or rot in a cell, it makes little difference to me." As Tom spoke to Ragari, Jackson moved off to a console to check an incoming message. Coming back over to Tom, he told Fisher about Silvia's request to know about who needed downtime.

Taking a datapad from Jackson, who then moved off elsewhere, Tom remained where he was, waiting for Ragari's response as he began to fill out the report. He was fair with those under him, Jackson hadn't had some time off for a while, so he made sure to mention that along with many of his other officers. For himself however, it was a different story. Tom hadn't had a day off since he arrived at the tower, nor did he particularly want one. He filed in the report that he had only recently finished some leave, it was a lie, but he figured Silvia wouldn't particularly care even if she did find out, after all it shouldn't have affected her too much. Time to rest, without thinking of work was time that Tom had no interest in, it was time to think, time to remember. And there were many things Tom had no wish to remember, work kept his mind off them, and so work is what he would do.

Completing the report, he sent it off to Craig, figuring he would provide Silvia with it. Tucking the datapad under his arm, he turned his gaze back up to Ragari, a look of contempt in his eye that was not common on his features. Ragari was the kind of man who Tom despised, a worm, never thinking of the consequences of his actions but taking them anyway as some idiot. That was how Tom saw him, anyway, he disgusted Fisher, Tom found himself not particularly caring what happened to him, almost hoping he'd refuse to work as Tristan's pilot, but the offer was made and he figured he knew which option Ragari would take.
Oh god, the possibility of Lucas and Dominic meeting might be too much hilarity for me to handle

It was a slow news day, a few boring news alerts had popped up but nothing particularly exciting. Was it really so hard for there to be something interesting? As Liam thought this, his phone began to blow up again with replies and new messages. Leaning back, he sighed as he kicked his feet up on the table and began to look over the messages he'd received one by one. Scratching at his chin, he began to type out a response to each in turn.

To: Joey
All good, hey if you're not doing anything today you should stop by Village Coffee, Zay's making me go see her sing and I don't know anyone else there. :P

To: Don't Reply (Zay)
That just seems unhealthy. And I guess i'll stop by, not like the news is important or anything. ;)

To: Ryder (Legal)
Cheers, i'll try not to put anything too illegal on the air tonight.

Closing his phone, Liam tapped it against his palm for a moment or two before finally moving to stand. Quickly moving to his Executive Producer's office he left his notes on her desk and said he'd be taking the rest of the afternoon off. He half-expected to get called back to work later that evening, but at least he'd stop by Village Coffee so Zay didn't see fit to slide mean letters under his door. Returning to his desk, he packed up what little stuff he'd brought in and shifted his bag over his shoulder again, moving back to the elevators, down and out of the building. He was still dressed for work, and his outfit wasn't exactly anything special or well thought-out, it looked nice enough, a messy buttoned shirt with a jacket, chinos and his press tag still hanging off his belt.

It didn't take long for Liam to get to Village Coffee, it wasn't too far from his work, or from anything really. As he wandered in he glanced around, it didn't take him long to spot a few familiar faces. Approaching Zay, Roxanne and Ryder, Liam gave the three an awkward smile. "Howdy Ryder, Roxanne." He nodded toward both of them before he shifted his gaze over to Zay. "So against my better judgement i'm here to write a bad review for you." He winked in her direction, the tone in his voice making it obvious that he was only teasing. For a moment he glanced past her toward the counter, he'd finished his coffee from earlier but he hadn't really eaten anything that morning, and it was starting to bug him, as was evident from his stomach rumbling slightly.

Offering little more than a half-smile toward Silvia's initial comment, Tom was doing a pretty good job of making himself look by-the-book. He stood with one hand holding his datapad, the other idly resting against it as he watched her, seeming to wait for whatever other suggestion she had in mind. It was a wonder, really, Tom stuck to regulation as much as possible, he generally tried to help everyone and focused on getting his work done as well as he could. The man barely took any time off even in the evening, he was essentially the perfect one for his position, it was truly a surprise that even he had Tristan's ire. Though, it was mostly due to his own contempt for the Tower Lead.

Raising an eyebrow at her next suggestion, he let his lip curl upward in a thoughtful, but amused smile. He was impressed at the suggestion, he wouldn't have considered it, he probably would have just kept the pilot in detainment for a while, given him a blackmark and sent him off for other authorities to deal with. Much in line with Silvia's thinking however, this would mean less paperwork for him, a fact he usually didn't even bother to consider. "I think that's a fair idea, i'll probably toss him a few nights in detainment for good measure, though." Glancing down to his datapad, he typed away a message to his officers dealing with the pilot before looking back up to her with a smile. "Thank you for the suggestion, ma'am." He commented, respectfully.

As she held up her finger Tom shut up, watching the exchange as it went on. He remained quiet as he stood there, reaching down and tucking his right hand into his pocket as his left kept a grip on the datapad. Raising an eyebrow in return toward Craig's look, he shrugged his shoulders slightly and cleared his throat. "That is much appreciated ma'am, now if you need me for anything, don't hesitate to contact me, I should deal with our friend the pilot." He smiled, giving her another nod as he turned toward the elevator and moved out, stepping in and sending the elevator down to the security level.

As he got out his 2IC, Jackson, was waiting for him. "Is he settling in?" Tom asked as he moved past, Jackson shifting into line along with Tom and shrugging his shoulders. "He's under arrest because he tried to grope a T-1, would you be 'settling'?" Jackson was a far more laid back individual than Tom was, but he always got the job done. He was Tom's most trustworthy partner and one of the few, in fact the only person in the tower at that point he considered a real 'friend'. They were two sides of a coin, Tom was all business, the good cop, and Jackson was the bad cop.

It didn't take long for them to reach the pilot's new cell, Tom giving him a courteous smile and a nod as he moved up to the cell and peered in. "You're going to be reassigned, as of today you're going to be tower lead Tristan's personal pilot. You'll also be docked a good deal of your salary." He glanced down to the datapad as he spoke, reading off the order he'd given to his own officers earlier.

Smiling toward Sutton as she spoke, Liam took another longer drink, already almost finished with it as he sat there. "Not as often as i'd like, I only got sent out here because I figured it'd get me some brownie points." He chuckled. As he heard the door open, he turned over his shoulder, giving the woman a slight smile and a nod before he turned back to the counter. Glancing to the clock again, he took a long drink of his coffee to finish it off. "I ought to get to the meeting and set up my camera, good coffee." He gave Sutton a nod, smiling as he reached down to his wallet.

The very moment he set down the cash on the counter, that image flashed in front of his eyes, a woman he'd never seen before. He assumed she was a doctor from the scrubs, but there was just something about her, what was it? Oh yes, the black-as-the-fucking-void eyes staring right at him. Liam had never seen such a thing, he'd never had such a sudden, random and unpleasant image broadcast directly into his brain before, and keeping that fact in mind it would probably be pretty safe to say that he took it well.

Letting out a sudden yelp, Liam staggered backward, getting his leg caught on the stool he'd just been sitting in as he tripped, falling back down onto his ass as the stool clattered to the floor loudly. Within moments of it appearing, the image was gone, with no indication of what had possibly brought it on as he glanced around frantically, his breathing much faster now as he brought a pair of fingers up to his forehead, rubbing his temple gently as a slight pain ran through it. "What in the name of christ..." He muttered to himself, letting out a slight sigh as he took another moment before slowly moving to stand. Peering between Sutton and the Japanese woman.

"I uh, i'm sorry, just thought I saw something and got a fright." He tried to play it off in a spectacularly awkward fashion, rubbing the back of his neck as he leaned down, carefully picking up and righting the stool he'd knocked over.
