In Masks 11 yrs ago Forum: Casual Roleplay
Some time ago, months, maybe even years, you came upon a mask. It might not have looked all that special, or maybe it did, but you took the mask home with you. As with many things, you decided to mess around with it. You put it on, and you become another person. You're physical attributes might have changed, you could be smarter, have powers that were unexplainable, even with modern science. You decide to use the mask, creating an alias for yourself, using the powers to stop crime, or maybe help and cause it. Now, the last few times you took off the mask, you've felt almost a drag of some sort. The reversion to your old self isn't happened instantly like it used to. Your powers are still usable for a few minutes after you take the mask off, and you even have a few lingering thoughts in the mindset of your alter-ego. You put the mask on again, and you suddenly have the need to go somewhere. A feeling in the back of your head that is pulling you to a specific area, bu you don't know where. After fighting the feeling, you eventually follow it. it could have been a block away, or even another continent. You arrive at a building in the middle of nowhere, grass and dirt for miles in every direction. You go into the building, see what's going on. You find others with masks. ---- The text above is the basis for your first post, as well as the introduction to the story itself. As I said in the IC, Pretty much everything is up to you. Your mask, your powers, everything. Also, you aren't required to use the exact Character sheet I give you here, but if you use your own, it should include all of the things included ehre. CS: Name: Age: Appearance: masked appearance: Mask: Abilities: Masked Abilities: Gender: Personality: Masked Personality: Biography: ----- The building in the middle of nowhere is a small, run down shack, entirely hollow except for an elevator platform in the cent of the room. It looks old and worn, but had obviously been used recently. Underneath the small shack is a large, high tech facility.
Glad I could be of help.
the end of today, or tomorrow at the latest.
Yuuto didn't really want to hear what they thought of his character. It wasn't because he didn't value their opinions or anything of the sort, but because he was afraid to hear how terrible they thought it was. He sighed upon hearing the little mermaid loli speak, and spoke quietly to himself. He isn't really... A master, he's just pretty good.." he was slightly thankful for the other loli voicing her opinion on the character, as well as Mariko, but he was still agitated by the first Aoi's thoughts on his character. He was somewhat happy that Kyoko didn't say anything about the unnamed character, but Yuuto had a good idea on what was going through her one track mind. The young man was thankful for what Yumi had to say. It wasn't about cliches or anything, and he was just fine with that. He gave her question some thought. He tapped his chin as he thought about his character, taking a glance at the notes he left on the sketchbook. "Well actually, he'd be the funny guy. He loves a good laugh, and only really changes gets angry when people comment about his blindness or pity him for it."
What about having our own mysterious town somewhere in the northwest? It can have as many similarities to Gravity falls as we want, locations, characters, and history, but there's still so much that we don't know about the town and the people there, so there could be a big game changer in an upcoming episode that could throw everything off track. Not to mention, we would be able to do whatever we want to and with the town without being incorrect to the show.
I'd be interested in helping GM-ing this if you'd like. Also, I'd like to bring up something in relation to this. How are we going to fit into Gravity falls? Will we be taking control of preexisting characters, or be making our own to solve the mysteries of the town?
I'm terribly sorry, but I don't think I can do this roleplay. It's just too difficult for me to create any halfway decent characters, and as much as I like this idea, I just can't get behind it.
I'll get to work on the OOC soon
After taking his seat, Yuuto set his sketchbook down on the dest in front of him. He was no longer worried about it being taken and looked through because of where Kyoko chose to sit. He looked next to him and saw Mariko, the most normal person he had ever known. That wasn't by any means a bad thing, but while other people had quirks and things to set them apart from others, she didn't. Aside from her astounding crossover writing, she was a rather blank slate. He didn't mind it, as she was nice company to have around. Yuuto's head quickly spun to look at Yumi as the woman clapped. As she spoke about beginning the meeting other creative outlets, He immediately knew what she was getting at. He sighed and looked around before taking a glance at his sketchbook. "Ah, I guess I could start then." Yuuto spoke, opening the book and flipping to his most recent work. The boy in the sketch he had made wielded a simple sword, nothing truly standing out about it. He had short hair and eyes that lacked pupils, trying to draw attention to the fact that he had no eyesight. There were several poses of the boy in different outfits, and all around the picture were details about him, including height, weight, abilities, and a rather brief biography. "He doesn't have a name yet, but he's a blind swordsman who relies on his other senses to fight. He was never able to see before, and doesn't like it when people pity him."
Mostly on, but it can be removed partially to eat and stuff.
