Oh, I should also note that I don't plan on having a set posting cycle, just as long as people don't get carried away with their conversations with other characters. So you guys can post whenever you want to.

Awesome post Ursa! Anyone else before I post again?
Yuuto watched the other pictures that appeared on the cell phone. They were all pretty good, even the ones from when she was younger and with slightly shorter hair. He liked the one of her with the armor and the sword the most, though, and began to think back on doing a cosplay some time in the future. When Julie put her phone away, Yuuto sat back in his seat correctly. He looked at the USB drive that Mariko held in her hand. He moved his focus away from the flash drive and over to her as she spoke, nodded after she was done. The young man shook his head at her with a small smile. "I'm not surprised." He said to her. "You've proven that you can cross over anything."

Uh, sorry, got distracted on other things. How does this start, all the characters going about regular life? Or, converging onto the meeting point?
Once again, up to you guys to decide if you want them to be new to a facility, of someone who lives there. Exile, your secondary character is good to go.

that's all up to you guys.
Name: Pendleton "Penn" Howl Age: 41 Gender: Male Appearance: Penn masked appearance: The Reaper Mask: Mask Abilities: Penn is a borderline prodigy and proved it during his time as a university teacher. Masked Abilities: Levitation - Penn does not call it flight, as he moves around with the absence of external forces, and doesn't push against anything. Umbraspace/Hammerspace - Reaper can put himself and other objects into shadows, using them as gates to the void. He cannot put other humans or living beings into the void, as it lacks air. Night vision Limited Pyrokenesis, black flames. Personality: Masked Personality: Reaper is a being of justice, and has little sense of mercy. He knows when he isn't enough to handle a situation, and isn't afraid to ask for help from other masked beings. Biography: Pendleton Howl was raised in a small town in northern California to a family with a comfortable lifestyle. He was raised well, and was almost considered a child prodigy in sciences and mathematics. He excelled in just about all of his classes, and gained a full scholarship at the age of fifteen. Years later, Penn decided to take a trip back to his little hometown, and stumbled on a tiny store next to the road he was traveling. Deciding to take a look at what was there, he encountered an interesting mask. He was a man of science, but he still loved the stories of mythology and the impossible, so he bought the reaper mask and put it on. In black flames that burned with a pain like no other, he transformed for the first time into his alias known as The reaper. He kept the mask a secret from everyone, including his own family. and only put it on again when he returned to his home near the college he now taught at as a professor. He became The Reaper again, fighting crime and all of the normal superhero things, but in his down, Reaper way. As the years went by, the thoughts and abilities of the reaper began to linger onto his normal body, eventually to the point where he could create small flames and hide in the shadows without the mask. By then, he had already found the institute. It was old and run down when he found it. No signs of human life anywhere. He repaired it, recreated the facility in the middle of nowhere. During this time, he studied the mask as much as he could, wanting to unlock the secrets that were within the mask. One by one, people with masks showed up at the institute, all with the same questions. He offered to help them, as long as they could help him with his research. It became a base of sorts for masked heroes and villains alike, even with their remarkably small numbers. They grew over time, but even the masked men and women were susceptible to an early fate out of Penn's hands.

Another day, another unsolved mystery about the origins of the masks and the importance of the location in some random field in Nevada that was turned into what was now known as the facility at least twenty-something years ago which was found empty by Pendleton Howl and reconstructed to be a personal workplace, but later turned into a meeting place for others with masks that also had unknown origins, and no dollar. Pendleton had been working hard for the past week. As always, he kept his mask on a small stand in his lab, just a few feet away from his main desk where he kept all of his notes and records. Like the rest of the facility, his lab was futuristic in a sense, plain, simple, but had so much more room to expand. He had been fortunate enough to not have the feds hound him for his mask and findings, and the reason the Facility was as high tech as it was, was because of the government, who had given him the money and the privacy that he needed to continue his studies on the masks, so as long as he would report in with anything new regularly. sleeping peacefully, he was woken by a rather loud guitar riff that came from his radio, causing the man to jump out of his chair and hit the ground. He always loved having ambient noise playing while he worked, helped others with their mask abilities, or pretty much anything. He didn't remember having it playing so loudly, but apparently, he did, as only a select few amount of people had 24/7 access to his personal lab. With a groan, he got up from the floor and dusted himself off. Even though he was going to head back to his room, which was separate from his lab, he should still be clean in the event that others would be awake as well. Penn returned to his room and got prepared for the day. It took a bit longer than he would have liked due to drowsiness, but it was still relatively early in the day. He left his room and wandered the halls, meandering over to the kitchens to make something to eat. Unlike an academy or school, nobody was employed to make food. You cooked for yourself, or anyone else you wanted to, and nobody was in charge of it. The kitchen was quite large, and had something for everyone at every time. As he walked through the halls, he passed by several halls for the living quarters, and a few for training and relaxing. He knew he could have used his mask to easily get to the kitchen, but he had begun to use the mask less and less. He knew that the effects of the mask were transfering over to him more and more after each use, but what he was worried about was the mentality of the Reaper that he became. He could already use some of the reaper powers on his own, but to a useless extent, so he just decided to walk around the facility instead. As he reached the kitchen, the doors opened for him as they usually did, and he prepared himself a simple breakfast to get himself going until lunch. He wasn't overly hungry, but he knew that he could eat a fair deal if he wanted to. Once he was done cooking, he put everything he used away and walked to the gathering room, a multipurpose room of sorts that was usually used for socializing when a meeting wasn't going on. There were several tables and seats to take in the gathering room, organized to outline a large circle in the middle of the room. While normally it was just an empty space, it could rise to become a platform for different uses. Penn took a seat by himself like he usually did near one of the doors that led to other areas of the Facility, and ate his breakfast quietly as he watched the people who were already awake.
