@21308Taken care of, thanks!
"R-Rose?" The young man asked what could be considered his wife. He knew that she did understand the concept of married to some point, enough for her to declare herself his wife. Though, while she would still be the wife of Greg Universe, her time in this world was short. He had offered to drive her to the hospital before remembering how gems worked and all. "Before you... go, can I do one more thing for you?"

Rose smiled at Greg He was such a kind and pure human, the perfect one for her. "You've already done so much." She spoke to him. "But what is it?"

Greg could not help his shaking as he reached for his ukulele. He only had a few more moments with her, and he needed to make them count. "I... I want to sing you that song."

Rose was unable to hold her laughter. She knew exactly which song he was going to sing, and laughed more as Greg blushed. Of course, she had never actually heard the full song, only what little bits and pieces he had played for her.

"I worked hard on it Rose!" He defended himself. "You guys are like superheroes, and superheros need theme songs. Besides," He shrugged with a sigh. "You haven't heard the whole thing before."

A moment of silence. Greg waited patiently for Rose's answer, and but to his enjoyment, she nodded. The young man quickly pulled out several papers.

"Hey Amethyst!" Greg suddenly called out as he handed some of the papers to Rose. "Go and get the other two, it's show time!"

Soon enough, the three young gems arrived on the soft sands of the beach, surrounding Rose with soft smiles all around.

Gred handed out the rest of the papers, and with a strum, they started.

"If you're evil and you're on the rise,"

"You can count on the four of us bringing you down!"

"Because we're good and evil never beats us,"

"We'll win the fight, then go out for Pizzas!"

"You, are the crystal gems, you'll always save the day. And if they think you can't, you'll always find a way. That's why the people,"

"Of"

"This"

"World"

"Believe in~"

"Garnet,"

"Amethyst"

"And Pearl~"

Rose looked at all of them, a tear in her eye and a smile on her face. They all watched back, wondering how she'd react to the song she had yet to full listen to. Her gem began to glow.

Four sets of eyes widened. They had been expecting this moment for some time now, but it was still too soon.

Her body became encased in light, but she was still able to see their crying eyes. She wanted to tell them it could be okay, but there was only time to say one thing as her body began to fade. Her voice echoed in her place, ringing out into the ears of her family as an entirely new being took her place.

It was too soon. Despite all of the preperation, none of them were ready. They were still so young, and things would get worse before they could even start thinking about getting better. Surely some part of rose would still be there, but it wouldn't be the same. They'd have no leader, nobody to trim and train the growing garden.

But they still had faith that they'd be okay. Even if Rose wasn't physically there, she'd still be watching over them, being the guideline they hoped to stand by. It would take time getting used to such a large change, but they could overcome it.

Greg knew that he could only provide so much. This was something new to everyone, and he was just was important to them as he was to him. He didn't need future vision to see that one day, it was going to be the four of them.

And Steven
@AkayaofthemoonI sing 'em when I'm bored at work, no worries XD
@21308Guys wanna hear something sad? Like really sad? YES!? OKAY!

Also, that was beatufilful and inspired my sad thoughts.
Well, actually, I meant that both of your characters have crossed paths with BB during BB's travels, just so that he can some some sort of notion on them to bring them to jump City.
A light flickered to life, and a single hand reached out to spin the leather office chair around. As it stopped, the single masked figure sat down and relaxed with a deep sigh. Sure, the three of them had won the fight today, but it was only because he couldn't handle the problem himself. Manic Mod, he called himself. He was even more trouble than the villain he modeled himself after. both of them were stripped of everything and put behind bars, so now he didn't have to worry about them for at least a little while.

Before he could take his thoughts further, the computer behind him flashed. An alert. The lone figure spun around to face the computer. A soft smile made it's way to his features. It was a main line alert, meaning that his old friend was at one of the other towers now.

The same hand that reached to the chair touched a single button on the keyboard. The computer opened up another window to show his green skinned friend on the other end.

"Talk to me Beast Boy." He spoke. From the corner of the screen, he could see the image of himself that was being broadcast to Beast Boy.

Man, had he changed. A black and blue jumpsuit with a blue bird over his chest, a more pointed mask, and long slicked back hair. He had even gone so far to change his name to Nightwing. Robin was now another kid under Batman's wing.

However, Garfield hadn't changed one bit. Still rocking the black and purple suit from his Doom Patrol days without any mask or headgear. Of course he wasn't a kid any more, but it was still obvious to Nightwing that it was the same person on the inside.

"Straight to the point? Rae said that you called her and Cyborg in. You sure you don't want me to head back? It'd only be a few days." Beast Boy's concern for his old team leader could be seen etched into his face. It wasn't a business call like Nightwing had expected, but still he refused to drop the call.

Nightwing shook his head. BB was doing his part by helping out and recruiting new heroes, he couldn't afford to call him back to the tower. "I'm fine Gar. Just a little trouble with the legacy of our british invader."

Beast Boy stopped. The words he was about to speak froze in his mouth. Mad Mod had some sort of legacy? Was he being serious? Of course he was being serious, he was Robin. That must have been quite the handful.

Nightwing could see Beast Boy getting up out of the chair he was in. "I'm heading back. If you've got that kind of trouble, you need some help."

"No." Was his quick response. "You have your hands full. I'll have to find a way to get past this."

Beast Boy sat back down. He didn't expect anything less from Nightwing. He'd probably just kick his training up another few notches. He had to stop at some point. With Slade making rounds again, Robin wasn't going to stop any time soon. New thing you know, the RedX was appear again and Robin was take another dip into insanity.

Beast boy was silent for a moment. He had to think up a way to get his old leader to settle down. From the image he got from Nightwing, he could see the door opening behind him. Two figures appeared and walked up behind Nightwing. He could instantly recognize the single red eye and purple cloak.

"We think you need to relax, Robin." A quiet and gravely voice spoke to him, causing Nightwing to turn around in his chair again.

Garfield smiled. "Raven! What's up babe?" He saw her once or twice a week due to the fact that she could technically teleport using her shadows, but that still didn't stop him from being excited whenever he saw her.

Raven pulled off the hood to her cloak, smiling at the green man. "I'm doing well, but we need to focus on Nightwing."

Cyborg nodded beside her. It was an impromptu intervention of sorts, decided just after the most recent fight. "Yeah man, we need to talk."

Nightwing sighed. He should have seen this coming.

However, what had surprised him was the file that Cyborg pulled out from behind him. Once handed the file, Nightwing could see four profiles of possible candidates. Two of them were lacking in comparison to the others, but there was at least some information on them.

Nightwing took a long look at them. Perhaps it was time to bring in new recruits.
Also, can I ask that your characters have crossed Beast Boy during his travels.
