Ok I just had a really dumb character idea for a digidestined. What if when they were chosen, and the lights flashed, something happened to where their nearby sibling was sent to the digital world instead?
@tobiaxI'm not going to say I figured as much, but it's nice to know. I was almost going to have Carter mention using a payphone instead of complaining about service.
"Steppin' on the beach..." A young man hummed to himself upon arriving at his destination. It was cooler than most days, it probably would have been nice if he were anywhere near a beach. Unfortunately, life didn't have such a plan for him, and no amount of work brought him closer to his dream of being in the sky.
He shut off his car and opened the door, taking a breath of that northern air. At least he could still wear his jacket up here compared to back home. It was actually somewhat tolerable with full clothing on. Maybe he should call Alexa. Her birthday was nearing soon, and he didn't know when he'd be in a city again. Service was always spotty out on the road.
With a sigh, he shook his head. "Probably just send her a text, like every year." He spoke to himself, locking up his car. He had a job to get to. It wasn't a nice one, or a permanent one, but it brought in the money for now. He wasn't on the best of terms with his older sister. Not since he left home. Carrie, now he could still talk to her, she seemed to understand his plight, but his stuck up older sister would never get how some people had to work for things in life. Sometimes, those hard workers never got it.
He probably shouldn't have locked his car, at least not yet. The package was still in the back and he was on a bit of a time crunch. A quick click fixed the situation, and he grabbed the package and locked up once more.
It was only a small box, about the size of his head. Whatever was inside was plenty heavy, not that Carter was one to judge. He just needed to dins a discreet place to put this discreet package, tag it in his little device, and be off. He was able to find a place just next to the patio, a little corner behind a bush. Setting it down, he stood up to ring the door bell.
Just as he pressed it, the ground below began to glow. He took a cautious step back, but was unable to move much more than that. "What..?" He was able to get up before the light swallowed him whole.
Name: Carter McRay Age: 19 Crest: Friendship Appearance: Bio: If anyone could embody the number Two, it would be Carter Carter was born to an american military family, the middle child between two daughters. While him being the only son would make him stand out, it did little to help him stand out among the three. He wasn't the smartest, nor physically gifted. He was quick to find out that he could gain attention by changing himself to suit people's needs, making as many friends as possible to fill in in that emotional hole in his heart. Growing up, Carter was just shy of everything. As he grew, he found that his life was still hollow. He valued some of those friends more than others, creating a divide between the real friends and the supplementary ones. He couldn't replace emotional connections with many faces. Graduating, Carter had nowhere to go, but he didn't meet the requirements to follow in his parent's foot steps. He took whatever odd jobs were available to him, but always gravitated towards the skies. He wanted to fly, to soar at intense speeds. If he could just take one thing for himself, it would be to be a pilot, but Carter always knew better than to hope too much one something. Personality:After spending his teenage years molding himself this way and that to make as many friends as possible, Carter knows a thing or two about people and how they work. While its certainly true that he learned his lesson about manipulation and change, all of that time dedicated towards being a jack of all trades has certainly left a mark on him. He's an optimist, always hoping for the best even though he rarely gets his way. If someone is happy, he's happy, and he's okay with that.
Name: Chip
Personality: Chip, despite his small size and easygoing nature, yearns for battle with a partner who shares his view. Carter might not have been the best candidate, but they get along much better than a person who would better fit what Chip considers Ideal. Fight the good fight, but enjoy a good snack and a long rest when you're not on the field. While Carter is busy making friends with every other branch on a tree, Chip consider's himself more a thinker's Digimon, assessing the problems ahead and trying his best to work them out without having to sacrifice a potential fight. He gathers and picks up much of what passes before his eyes, and rarely forgets things, no matter how useless the information is. Maybe he just wants to crush some stuff sometimes. You just gotta let it happen or suffer a grumpy Plush-like Rookie Digimon.
I'll get it fixed. Like Loon said, I'm EST, typically unavailable between 2-8 pm on the weekdays, may change depending on when my employers need me. Weekends are much more free, but they're weekends, so I could be doing something. Always on mobile tho, so I should be able to post almost whenever.
UPDATE: I'll keep it to just on technique for now, I know that they're capable of more, but just for my own sake, I'll put in the rest at a later date if I feel like they need to be written down.
Normally unavailable between 3pm-9pm, always welcoming RP ideas, large groups, small groups, 1x1s, you name it!
