I like slice of life and anime. I prefer simplistic, yet imaginative writing. Walls are not for Quin.

Province of Ilagorn -- Adventurer's Guild a.k.a. The Delipitated Duck
12th Hour of the 2nd Day, Summer

Declaring what the group would take without consulting them? Priscilla snorted in derisive amusement as she retrieved the paper containing the information for the job. Ier may have been confident as the supposed leader of her group of initiates but Priscilla had seen countless versions of her before and very rarely did they turn into an adventurer of a hero's caliber. Few of them even lived despite their stodgy "knightly" upbringing. If Ier would survive her group she would have many lessons ahead of her. The raven-haired woman wondered if she lasted how long she would be her responsibility.

“Let's see.”

Mordel Kel, the Baron of the lands including the village Iber, had asked for the guild's help regarding a carriage that had never arrived in Iber, though it had indeed left the merchant enclave it originated from. The question of where in Fogmere the carriage had found itself lost in was a question of much debate -- the Baron himself had not sent a courier or scout to investigate and instead opted immediately to ask the guild for help. It was a curious thing since Fogmere wasn't even on the list of dangerous woodlands, but it was easy to get lost in the humid summers if you strayed off the main road for a shortcut or some other whim.

“The Baron thinks it is probably somewhere off the main road. There's no real conclusive information outside that there is a chest with some 'very important items'. Honestly, it sounds like a waste of time, but sometimes its good to have your adventure have the same thing in common as you. Do try your best to not to start a forest fire. It'd be a lot of paperwork for me. More paperwork than you are worth.”

She retrieved one of the cheap maps made of the region from under the counter. “If you travel down the southern highway you will end up at Iber. You can enter the forest from their side. Any more questions?”

Southmere EMS Office
Morning

“You run this place by yourself?” Marie uttered, looking around to see if the girl was exaggerating.

It forced a thought come to mind — How was one person and a dog supposed to keep something like the EMS efficent? When they had posted that they were taking applications they weren't kidding that they needed help. Marie didn't want to be the only one “pulling her weight” but at the same time the idea that the spotlight would be on her excited her. In her mind there was no way she was going to be rejected or critically interviewed. Without her or the other applicants the EMS would have nobody. As she mulled over the concept she crossed her arms as she went to answer the postal worker's other question as the other's behind her were too worked up about being friends than excited about doing the job.

“Right. I am here for the job.” She commented as she held out her hand aggressively. “Rosemarie Neldelstein, but you can call me Marie. Nice to meet'cha!”

You and six others have lived a rough and erratic life. Several weeks ago all of your crimes against the oppressive empire has led to an unfortunate end – or so you thought.

Your capture by imperial agents would ironically lead to your very salvation as you worked together with six total strangers to overtake the interstellar vessel that had been only hours before your transportation to the galaxy's most cruel and devastating prison. With the imperial agents killed by your hands you found yourself with a ship, a crew, and new possibilities. However, try as you could your run of luck was decidedly short. An imperial patrol ship identified something was wrong almost immediately and a violent dogfight led you to crash land on a nearby frontier planet. The ship is in dire need of repairs and you don't see any trace of civilization on the planet. You're lucky you can breathe its air.

Though you don't feel so lucky. And in time, you will see exactly why. The frontier planet of Hades is a violent, dangerous world full of cosmic horrors you could never imagine.

I'm very “rules-lite”. Don't be a jerkface, listen to me if I make a ruling, be patient as I live a very busy life, and communicate.

For my second RP on RPG I've looked at Terraria, Dead Space, and Rimworld to create a sort of cosmic-horror-adventure thing. Characters will be largely anime-influenced, so I expect people to not use realistic faceclaims. Understand that your character in this adventure is a criminal and while that does not define their morals, I will probably insta-decline any lawful good space paladin-types – the inverse also applies, so no evil sadistic baby-eating monsters either. I think a lot of character types can be made from that.

6 (plus me) dedicated player characters. This might mean we have a seven player story or less with me doubling up. I only ask for sticking with the RP.

Writing level is casual section. But effort makes the bestest. Word vomit is bad, but good paragraphs aren't! Not a rule but Quin was taught in school that paragraphs should be at least three or four sentences, so use that as a guide! Any other rules and stuff should be in the character sheet. Quality over quantity!

Would anybody want to play this idea out or should Quin go back to drawing board?

There's honestly a lot. I'd say those not yet accepted should bring theirs up again. Even I miss CS' frequently when dealing with a lot of entrants.

It's just in my experience GMs review sheets chronologically, so I am not used to this. Not trying to be rudey-rude, tho.
Was my CS overlooked despite being done?
Quin is working on something. Just to keep everyone on the upper and up.

Name
Kayla Wu

Age
21

Gender
Female

Personality
Third generation American. Chinese stereotypes. The “unruly” black sheep of her family.

It's safe to say Kayla has the patience of a saint. A wise-cracking, openly bisexual chinese girl with a track record of making very public mistakes, Kayla has had a reputation of not fitting in with her family's expectations and wishes. Kayla's attitude lies somewhere between her New York sensibilities and Texan spirit. She's a hard-working and optimistic woman who will push anyone aside to get ahead in life. In fact, it's likely she'll do anything to get away from her roots in Texas - anything to get away from her family who she has left behind outside of the occasional special occasion.

History
The daughter of a criminal defense attorney and a renowned chef, Kayla Wu has always served in the shadow of her parents.
That's super edgy.

“That was fast. I'm almost impressed.”

Priscilla looked over the group as she took back the charter and glanced down at the list of names – and their atrocious handwriting, which, as expected was for the most part a bunch of scribbling. Another pain of the job she bore as guildmaster. Two mages, a cleric, and a wannabe-bard led by a stuck-up failed knight. That kind of composition would do them well until something unfortunate or ungodly stupid happened.

“Only a few initiate-level jobs for today.” She remarked, coldly. “A nearby village lost a shipment in the Fogmere Forest. The local blacksmith here in Ilagorn needs a sword delivered. That's about it. Typical initiate crap. I wager anything a little messier like goblin cleanup or kobold interference in the mines is still an issue as well. Just don't make me wait all day.”
