I must ask that you both please repost your characters in the Character tab in the OP.

I also ask just one other thing; would the two of you also "reserve" a post for yourselves in the OOC? The purpose of this is to keep track of things from the story more easily.

This reserved post will act as a "notepad" or a "statistics sheet".
This will be where you can record things such as clues, a list of victims and suspects, collected evidence and facts, and so on.

Please be sure during the Roleplay to have your "notepads" neat and organized.

I will have the opening IC post up in a few hours.

"As long as greed trumps compassion, there will always be suffering."



The black cape of night shrouded the glowing west coast city of Seattle.

The skies roiled with dark, foreboding storm clouds.

The rapid pattering sound of falling rain echoed throughout the night, from the dark alleys to the busy streets alike.

Cars roared down the main roads and side streets in masse, sending sprays of puddled water into the air, which slapped down onto the sidewalks as well as back down on the roads as well.

Pedestrians cloaked in jackets and rain slickers scurried along the sidewalks and across the streets to their destinations, whatever they may be.
Rain was in fact not at all uncommon in Seattle, Washington, but that did not mean that the people adored it.

But this particular rainstorm was more than just a typical rainfall.

This rain was a cover, as it had been earlier that evening, when a sinister deed had taken place under the cover of this rather depressing shower.

A foul action that would set forth a series of events, both good and bad, that would test the willow those involved.

DOWNTOWN SEATTLE

OCTOBER 9th, 2017

MONDAY, 9:45 P.M

The flashing of blue and red lights illuminated the dark night.

Police cars and an ambulance surrounded a particular home on a quiet Downtown street.

This normally uneventful, silent neighborhood was now buzzing with police officers and forensic scientists who were both surrounding and swarming the white and brown two-floor house.

Many of the other houses were lit up with light as neighbors all peered out of their living room and bedroom windows at the sight outside.

Yellow police tape surrounded the home and also stretched across the street where it was tied to a large oak tree at the edge of someone's yard.
The long perimeter of yellow tape was guarded at length by police officers wearing heavy blue coats, their job was to keep curious and concerned pedestrians at bay and away from the crime scene to avoid compromising it.

The rain poured down from above in heavy sheets down onto the cozy looking house and the surrounding personnel, soaking and chilling most of them, which seemed to further darken the surrounding mood.

Job/Career: Registered Nurse Practinioner at Saving Grace Hospital in Downtown Seattle, Washington.

Personality: A lively individual, Ashlyn always seems to make the best of things and maintain a sunny disposition. She nearly always wears a smile and even on the worst days finds pleasures and positive vibes.
She is admired and well liked by most of her coworkers and neighbors back home alike.
She has many close friends, one of which lives in her neighborhood.
Even with her generally busy schedule at the hospital, she seems to always find time to experience the joys of life and spend adequate time with her friends and family alike.

Short Biography: Ashlyn Young grew up comfortably in an upper middle class family from northern Seattle.
She made above average grades in junior high school and high school alike, and performed well enough academically to get into college.
Her grades actually were bolstered in college, and she graduated with her RNP degree and immediately went to work at a local Seattle hospital, i.e Saving Grace Hospital.

Ashlyn never played any sports in high school or college, nor was she really involved in extra curricular activities or clubs.
However, she had an active social life and still does, and has a wide range of friends.

One of her closest friends lives in her neighborhood, and they have been very good friends for over two years now, ever since Ashlyn first moved into the neighborhood.

They've went to the movies together, went out to dinner together, visited each others' homes, and so forth, as one would expect from such a pair.

A detective out to stop a killer...

And a deranged outcast with a twisted agenda.

THE PLOT

The Plot

When a young woman is brutally murdered in her Seattle suburban home, it sends shock waves of both sorrow and disbelief across the community, as she was a very popular and well liked person in her neighborhood. And on the same token, the other residents are stricken with fear and paranoia at the realization that their once peaceful and uneventful community is now plagued with a twisted and dangerous new individual with a thirst for blood and death.

Among those the most affected by this tragedy is the victims' best friend, who is both grief stricken and angered at her friends' fate, as well as the polices' lack of progress with the case.

This now embittered and determined young woman will set out on her own personal investigation to find her friends' killer and bring them to justice.

Soon after, there is another murder in the same neighborhood, and with a long and undefinable list of suspects, the FBI dispatches one of their most reliable agents to begin collaborating with the local police to solve the case and bring in this sociopathic killer.

This young woman and this seasoned FBI agent will soon find themselves searching for nearly the same thing, and could possibly even form an "unofficial partnership".

With the stakes high and the killer out planning more murders to commit, these two searchers will find themselves faced with a wide array of challenges that will test their limits on innumerable fronts.

But time is running out, and they must solve this caper before more lives are claimed.

THE CAST (Character Listing

TC

The Best Friend~A female character. This young woman is the best friend of the very first victim, and is deeply distraught when her friend is viciously slain in her home in their quiet Seattle neighborhood.
After it becomes obvious that there is little chance that the police can do much to solve the case, this determined, headstrong young woman begins her own private investigation into the case.

The FBI Agent~A male or female character.
This seasoned agent has an impressive record and has been specially selected to handle this case, and needless to say the Bureau expects this case to be handled properly and the killer brought in.
The Seattle Police Department has agreed to collaborate with and aid this agent in the pursuit of this mystery.
They have been given access to department resources and will also be assigned a partner in this investigation.

The Killer~Played by myself.
Nothing is known of this individual at first, aside from the obvious facts that they are crafty, violent, and psychotic.

Minor Characters and NPC's~Minor characters and NPC's will be played and puppeteered by myself.

Minor characters are specific NPC's such as the local police chief, suspects, neighbors of the victim, the partner of the FBI agent, and so forth.

NPC's on average refers to generic non-unique nor critical characters such as police officers, generic civilians, reporters, suspect associates, and so forth.

HOW THE ROLEPLAY WILL BEGIN

The Roleplay will start with the best friend getting off work late and arriving back in the neighborhood.

When she passes her friends house and sees police cars and an ambulance out front, she will pull over and get out, intent on finding out what has happened, and the story shall go from there.

I understand that life happens, and that of course is acceptable.
But do not just simply ditch the Roleplay and stop responding because "you got bored".

•Player age must be no less than 18 years old.

•General role playing rules apply of course, no godmodding, flaming, metagaming, raging, etcetera.
