Yeah, sorry about the wait guys. Just a short post for everyone to rally together, swarm the top floor and put an end to this battle. I'll write a little epilogue after, and then we'll move into social time.

Lilly's team had just been barely holding on when Hunt's group arrived. With the new reinforcements, though, they finally had the strength to press forward. "COVERING FIRE!" Lilly yelled, motioning the group forward when the Imperials were suppressed. With many more guns on their side, they were able to keep the remaining imperials in cover and quickly clear the last two rooms of the hall.

When they reached the base of the stairs, the Imperials at the top began firing down and rolling the occasional grenade towards them, forcing them back into cover and stalling their advance. This was starting to play out like the coach house all over again, though this time the Imperials showed no indication of wanting to surrender. Through a window, Lilly spotted some unknown Gallians in the alley just outside the house and quickly waved for them to come in, gesturing towards one of the rooms they had already cleared which had a window they could climb through. When the assault force was at full strength, Lilly addressed them about the plan attack. "Mr. Hunt, do you have any ideas how to get up the stairs? We have enough people here, I think... We could probably use grenades to clear the top landing, and then rush in, right? Shocktroopers in front, everyone else will follow them. Is that acceptable to everyone? Ah, ok..." Another artillery shell landed nearby, causing Lilly to duck and cover her ears involuntarily. Once the ringing in them subsided, she nodded. "Ah... is everyone ready then? Scouts, use your grenades. Throw them.... Now! Everyone up the stairs! Go, Go, Go!"

Alright I don't often make posts about my code unless something funky happens. This is one of those times.

I'm working on something called an L-system, which is a method of modeling plants using fractals. Fractals are by their very nature recursive, so you have to be very careful about how you define start and stop points, otherwise you end up with the algorithm constantly building upon itself and calling itself in an infinite loop of bullshit.

For example... This is a properly working fractal tree:

(ignore the fact that everything is at 90degree angles, I set it like that to test something)

And if you fuck up your fractal's ending conditions, you end up with something like this:

I'm honestly wondering if I should fix it, or just submit it as an abstract art project.

So it's safe to say that we're all more or less ready for the final assault on the CP?
By the way, what needs updating on the roster? Who have/haven't we got?

Oh I know. I've heard people talk about the characters they make and how they would like to meet/chat with them IRL, but I can't relate at all. If I were ever dropped into a room with my characters, I would be assaulted from the amount of shit I put them through. Take Lilly: Impaled, Exploded, Traumatised, Buried alive, and forced to kill. I feel like she would have some choice words for me if she found out it all could have been avoided.

*thwap!* *Drops folder on desk*

- An Imperial counterattack in the city began, pushing the regular Gallian army/militia back and necessitating a call for reinforcements. We are the reinforcements, so squad 4 rode to the rescue. Hunt decided we would break the seige on the Gallian command post first, before swinging around to attack the Imperial one, so we blew up a few tanks, shot some dudes and generally saved the day.

- The Imperials fell back to defensive positions around their CP, and we didn't have quite enough manpower to have a suitable chance at taking it. As such, a portion of the Gallian defenders (designated 'charlie section') have been temporarily assigned to our unit to help. That's how we've been getting any new recruits from the RP into the action. Once the battle is over, there'll be some reshuffling and the players who are still around will be folded into squad 4, proper.

- We timeskipped the approach and have moved onto the final assault on the CP. Durandal had been launching lances at it through our advance to soften it up, but now that we're trying to take it, shit has hit the fan. Hunt's group is coming down the middle street, Charlie section is approaching from the south, and Lilly's group is attacking from the north.

- The Imperials called for fire support and a battery under 655's command responded, fuckling the light tank and wounding roughly half our members. Everyone's sorta in cover right now, with Lilly's team halfway through the house waiting for reinforcements and Hunt's group busy rescuing people from the exploded tank. Charlie section has advanced, and is in the alley between the imperial CP, and the house Hunt's group has been using to take shelter from the artillery.
