Bio

Here's a list of things about me if you want to know a little bit more. Though if you actually want to get to know me, send me a PM, or talk over the OOC chat.

1. I don't generally like roleplays where my characters are forced to be serious 100% of the time; mostly because that's not how actual people work.

2. Yes, I use anime pictures for appearances. I've come to like anime less and less over the years, and personally only ever watch the movies now, and that's on incredibly rare occasions. I personally like using those over actual people faces, because people have too many specific details, and I can never find people faces that match the description I want. If you would like, I can use a text description instead.

3. I generally like to make 'pairs' of characters. Either characters that seriously contrast with each other, or work together really well but still have arguments and problems.

4. I've been forum roleplaying for just about 5 years now, and I've been tabletop roleplaying for 11 years now. I still suck at roleplaying despite being a 12 year veteran, but, what're you gonna do?

5. I really enjoy talking to people. Yes, society has gone downhill, but despite that I find serious enjoyment out of talking to people about anything. So, if I'm in an RP with you, just chat away with me. We can talk about mundane things, or go all-out on serious topics. I don't think I've come across a single person I've hated talking to, even if they were somewhat irritating or annoying. So please PM me, or just talk OOC.

6. I flipping love Inside Out, and as such, if you ever make an RP based around it, please invite me. I promise to behave of course. If one isn't made though, you know very well that I'll make my own, and I'll try my hardest to make it the best RP possible. Or, if you just want to talk about Inside Out, I'd love to do that as well.

7. Please make good characters. I understand Advanced Roleplayer's over on that section have no problem with this, but I don't like RPing over there. When I'm on casual roleplay, not many seem to care a whole lot about making good characters. They just make walking cliche's to get into an RP, and then completely change that character as the RP barely starts. It's annoying, lazy, and doesn't really make me want to accept you if I'm GM or co-GM.

Characters are the literal heart and soul of roleplaying, and should be treated as such. If you make your characters card-board cut-outs, it only tells me that you either don't care, are lazy, or that we absolutely need a moderate roleplay section on the forums to bridge the gap between posting 1-2 paragraphs with barely any work put into characters, and posting 6-8 paragraphs with enormously deep backstories, love, and care, put into characters.

8. I am a caring and nice guy, so don't be afraid to talk to me about anything. I'm fairly hard to offend, and even harder to make mad. I seriously enjoy getting to know my fellow members, so talk whenever you feel like it.

Kurano Tanaka "Remember to study pages 114 through 160 tonight, as I will be quizzing you tomorrow. Sayounara." A bell blared into the halls and classes of Waseda University. The last classes of the day were through with, and a tired young man stood up to leave for a convention. "Hey, Kurano!" Someone shouted at him from the hallway. Once Kurano left his class, a freshmen college student waited to meet him. "I don't have time for another survey Takai. There's something important I need to be at right now for a class. The young man named Takai frowned, but asked a question out of curiosity. "You going to the convention? I wish I could come, but I've got these surveys I need people to fill out." Kurano gave in, feeling bad for the guy, a frown just didn't suit this normally happy friend's face. "Alright, but I'll need to do it while walking if that's alright." Takai nodded, and handed his pen and survey over to Kurano. "Alright, why are these questions so, personal?" Kurano stated, looking at all of the rather private answers. "It's for psychology. I need to survey people I know, and see if my version of them is close to what they're actually like." Takai said all of this with a rather innocent smile on his face. "Sounds more like you're going to post this online for the world to read. I'm, not interested anymore. Assignment or not, just tell her you were wrong about me. I really don't have time for this. I need to get to the convention for my own assignment." Kurano handed the paper and pen back to Takai, which he sadly accepted. Kurano shook his head, and muttered to himself. Trust me kid, I'm much more different than you think I am. Kurano shifted his pace into a brisk walk. The bullet train, Japan's greatest transportation machine. Kurano was able to get to the heart of Tokyo within two minutes on the speed machine. On the way out of the train, Kurano swiped his watch against a device on an exit door. It read his code, and immediately charged him 1,000 yen. "It's getting more expensive every month. Soon, I'll have to start walking back to my apartment." He hung his head, and stuck his hands deep into the pockets of his black and neat pants. Kurano reached the convention, which luckily for him, was always free come the time of the annual fourth dimensional convention. He pulled out a small notebook and pen from his back pocket and immediately started to take notes of the situation. Kurano then inserted a pair of earplugs into each of his ears to block out most of the sound. Tightly crowded, easy for pickpockets. Free convention stands, possibility of theft. He was intended to keep track of any and all chances of crime. This would supposedly teach him 'observational' skills, but instead ended up teaching him why not to become a detective. He had no time to listen about what wonderful inventions were coming up. He had to write, and pace around, and write some more. Every once in a while, Kurano noted some fairly odd looking displays. Woman dressed in armor with a sword, possible murder intentions. Little children fighting with weapons, likely chance of indirect harm to others. He continued to note, walking and looking. Minami Shiroka There was supposed to be some really big event going on that day. Very celebrated in Tokyo, something having to do with the powers that everyone had. A small, and hopeful little girl, rushed into the convention the moment she heard about it. Free food, and maybe free stuff too! Minami thought to herself, as she gazed upon the waves of people walking around. She noticed someone with a rather large buffet table to themselves in a corner. She very cutely walked up and took a deep breath of the food in front of her. "Hello mister. You look really sad over here. Can I help?" The old man nodded, and allowed Minami to sit down. Minami only eyed the food, while the man did not take a single look at her. "Mister. Are you okay? Maybe you're grumpy all alone." The man now turned around on the table, clearly trying not to talk to her. "Please. I need food. I've only eaten stuff from the garbage for a week." The old man turned around to see big brown eyes, and a tear fall down her face. He grumbled for a moment, but relinquished a bowl of curry. "Thank you so much sir," Minami replied with a smile stretched across her face. A feeling of warmth grew within the man, as she voraciously chomped at all of the curry she could find. "Young lady. I am sorry for not giving you the food earlier. Here, as forgiveness." The man handed over the rest of his food, and left the table. I hope there's more people like him around here, Minami thought to herself, chowing down all of the food as quickly as she could.
Boom baby! I'm back from my terrible school dance. My date went home early with her friends because I "just wasn't cool enough." Which to me, immediately labeled her as a gold digger, considering that she tried to get me to buy her stupid games for her phone with my money. So, I'm ready to post IC in a bit once the punch and lays chips buzz wears off.
so is my character ok or should I mention a little about spikes personality?
She's slightly taller than the national Japanese average for her age. (By about 2 inches) But other than that, she's accepted. I feel like we need at least one character who has somewhat of a military background to act as a sort of leader, or at the very least just be as bad-ass as possible. Actually, considering her name, I'll assume she may not be Japanese, unless you tell me otherwise.
If I were to honestly pick one of them based off of entertainment, I'd easily pick taste. Think of all the amazing detail your taste buds would pick up on an excellent cuisine, or the savory creaminess of a truffle. Of course, though, what procedure you get is completely random, and you have no say in it. Plus, if you inherited it, you're stuck with whatever the parent's genetics give you.
So with energy's ability to pretty much feel the fourth dimensional energy. Would that make them number one? Considering that they can actually feel the monsters, and possibly tell where they could be in a room? And I mean feel as in, you can tell a presence is there. Kind of like that sixth sense where you think someone's stalking or chasing after you and you turn out to be right.
Energy is supposedly rarer than all of the other procedures, but I doubt whatever these fourth dimensional creatures are, see them as any threat. Unless, the energy they have allows them to feel the energy of these monsters, in which case I'd put them just below sight in terms of the fourth dimensional hit-list.
lol. Yeah, I don't either.... Sight and Energy is fine. :3
Smell and taste's uselessness does give them an advantage though. They aren't as much of a target. You stated yourself in the plot that they will go after sight, energy, sound, smell, and taste, in that order. Anyone with sight is instantly in danger, while those with taste are farthest away from danger. therefore, not only is the strongman tough, but he's safe as well. Oh, wait, it actually went, sight, hearing, smell, and taste. You didn't include where energy was, but regardless, he is the safest. Along with others who pick smell or taste.
Our child to grown men ratio is off the scales! Quick, make the manliest man you can think possible to balance the weights! Oh, wait, we have Unraveller's character for that. Just a drill, I guess. What if they attempt to handcuff, or taze him, maybe even forcibly detain him? Actually, they would probably think he's a cosplayer (those guys are near everywhere in Tokyo) and probably only ask him if the weapon is real or not. This is just a check in on my phone by the way. I'll post once I get home later.
Sadly, I'll have to be posting somewhat later today because something has arisen. Don't worry though, when I do come back, I'll make up for it with an amazing introductory post.
It's very likely that we will have weapons for those that cannot really harm enemies with their powers. Which is why someone asked for the sound vibration gauntlets. Whether you have imaginative and creative weapons catered towards your power, or just simple guns or melee weapons I guess would be up to you.
