@Ariamis Is up next, then I believe it is @Cassowarysaur's turn.
Krista heard the report of the Anzu's rifle as it took a chunk out of the Setsuka. Krista was surprised when the Setsuka's marker on her mini-map didn't go dark, but rather headed into Zone E beyond the range of her map.

"Dang, that is one tough machine." thought Krista as she shifted her attention to finding the Rose on her mini-map. Krista watched over the mini-map as the Rose walked up to the Macabre's frame and issued its warning. When the Macabre didn't move and the Rose didn't open fire she relaxed a bit. The Macabre was out of the fight. In fact it seemed that there was a big scuffle in Zone C if the number of motionless blips were any indication.

The Rose continued to move around on the mini-map as Romeo contacted her. "Odd as it is, I suggest we circle around the tower to take on the sniper from behind. The only way to take him out is to get too close to use the cannon, that means we still have to get past his favored range. We can always cut up to the tower, which does make for a big target, but if one of us is up above, we can distract him long enough for the other to get the shot, and if he doesn't take the shot at one of us up above. then we can find him and act as spotter for the other to take their shot at attacking him. He can't guard against 3 directions at once."

Krista paused for a moment. Mai seemed to have gone after the Anzu, so Yeshua would be harried right now. She couldn't tell which way the Anzu was going since it was outside the range of her radar, but if she knew the terrain the zones flanking Zone E both had places to hide. The tower would provide a good vantage point to be sure, but whomever was up there would be open to the Anzu's gun.

Krista thought about it for a moment. The Archer was the best suited for this purpose. The Rose was faster, more versatile, and most importantly unharmed. It could keep up with the Anzu and engage it within it's effective range. The Archer was already wounded, and it's main gun was near useless at this point if the semi-random flickering of the indicator light of the Prometheus was any indication. Despite that, she was fairly certain she could use her longer ranged sensors to locate and call out the Anzu's position to both Mai and Rose at least once before the Anzu took the kill shot.

"... Hey Romeo, I know you aren't gonna like this but I think I should be the spotter. I know I'm gonna be wide open for the Anzu, but I am limping along here already. I have the sensors and experience to spot him faster than you can. I'll call his location out so you and Mai can go in for the kill." Krista started up the Archer's thrusters. "Please, try to take him out before he takes me out."

Krista took off before Romeo could voice any objections. As the Archer neared the top of the Zone G Tower, she opened a line to the Setsuka. "Mai, I'm going try to see if I can spot the Anzu from the top of Zone G. Be ready to react accordingly."

Landing on top of the Tower, it didn't take long for Krista to spot the white shell of the Anzu's rifle peeking out from behind a rock, as well as the red, white, and blue of the Setsuka hiding behind another. It was enough to get the Anzu's coordinates from her sensors. Krista called out the Anzu's coordinates to both Mai and Romeo. Krista decided to add her own firepower to the mix, and began to saturate the Anzu's location with her Hornet missiles. They might not be able to hit the Anzu behind that rock, but they would definitely make Yeshua think twice about sticking his head out.
@Ariamis Just double checking, I need to wait a little longer to post, correct? Or am I confused still?

Edit:
Hang on, I just saw the posting order again. I will post now.
@Ariamis Fair enough. I'll wait for you to say it's my turn again before I post again.

-----------------
Edit: Just to double check just in case I've gotten mixed up with the double negatives and such (Trust me, it has tripped me up more than I like to admit as a person who has spoken English his entire life), I've just posted for this round, and the next cycle the turn order will go back to normal?
Kyle quickly caught up with Caden and Rhiannon. "My name is Kyle Yu, I used to be a detective with the NGPD's Major Crimes Unit. I actually helped look into a few of the missing Guardian cases before I came here. What about you two?" Kyle quickly remembered that he had left the last member of the group, the one that had been tardy, in the room behind them and mentally kicked himself for not waiting for him. It seemed rude to start introductions without Jackson, or at least he assumed the missing person was Jackson as 'Rhiannon' didn't strike him as particularly masculine, being there. Kyle could easily guess the names of the man and woman, but it still seemed rude to not let themselves introduce themselves.
@Ariamis Does this hail the return of DJ Metalface?
Ach, I waited too long for Dark Recon to edit his post and people more on the ball than I managed to post before me. I hope that wont be too much of an issue?
Krista barely saw the Anzu out of the corner of her vision before it took it's shot. She didn't even have the time to activate the Hornets Nest system before the concussive force of impact sent her for a loop. Several indicators on her HUD told her that the shot had hit the base of the weapon. Several of the important subsystems were in critical condition, and it was a miracle that it hadn't been completely taken off. She managed to stop the Archer from stumbling around and looked over towards where the shot had came from. All she saw was the settling wake from where the Anzu had fired from, and possibly another wake from where something had either entered or emerged from the lake's opposite shore.

Romeo's voice came through with concern as the Rose landed nearby and put up a barrier. "Archer, are you alright?"

For her part, Krista had managed to shake off most of the dizziness from the shot. She took a moment to go through all the warning and alerts on her HUD. "I'm fine personally, but I think my main cannon is pretty much dead. Some sort of power conduit has been hit so the actuators and heating elements are operating at a fraction of normal capacity. On top of that, my fire control system keeps randomly cutting in and out and I can't fire the gun when the fire control system is offline. If there is a silver lining on this it's that my accelerator coils are mostly functional."

Krista had always relied on the Archer's heavy armor and big gun to get her through fights, and it was becoming clear that those might not be enough. Her main offensive weapon would only work 50% of the time at best, so she couldn't rely on it. She had only a vague inkling of where the Anzu had gone, north, and her money would be that Yeshua was already setting up another ambush. If the Anzu's weapon could do this much damage to the Archer's heavily armored hide, she could only wonder what it would do to the Rose or any of the other Framewerks.

Heart racing, Krista started to talk to herself as much as Romeo as she puzzled out what to do next. "I can't take the Anzu right now. He definitely is going to be waiting for us to come around that corner to blast us, and that rifle can definitely take either of us out in a shot..." If it weren't for the fact that she was already on edge looking out for new threats, she probably wouldn't have noticed the Setsuka fly out of the rough terrain of Zone B and land on the top of the Zone G tower. Mai seemed to be trying to get a better view of the battlefield. It was a little odd though, as Zone B provided excellence cover, as projectiles couldn't travel far in that maze of stone. It made no sense to leave that terrain and engage her in the open unless there was some way to take advantage of- Krista's stomach dropped with realization.

"Romeo I think Mai's trying to get a shot off at my weakened armor. I need to get to cover!" despite her best efforts, nervous panic crept into Krista's voice. The choice of where to go was simple. To the east was the Lake, which was a wide open area where she knew the Anzu had been. The only way to take cover in there would be to dive into the lake, and then it would be a simple matter of waiting for her to resurface. To the west was a veritable forest of stone pillars. It might restrict her movement greatly but it would make it difficult for Mai to get a clear shot. Heck, simply moving away from the tower would prevent the Setsuka from having a straight shot down at the Archer's back. "I'm heading to Zone B to try and keep Mai from having a clean shot."

Without even waiting for Romeo to reply, Krista scrambled towards Zone B. The Archer's large bulk prevented it from utilizing many of the narrower corridors, but at least she had some cover from the tower. In there. It wasn't until she heard the sharp report of the Anzu's rifle that she stopped. She couldn't see what it had done to the Setsuka, but Krista was silently glad that the Yeshua had engaged Mai before Mai had the opportunity to engage the Archer or the Rose. As she waited for the Rose to catch up, Krista noted that there was still another Framewerk in here with her. With the immediate panic over, she berated herself for leaping without looking.
I personally use color, if only to let me scan the IC posts for my own. It also helps me keep track of which character is talking, kinda like a typographical face.
@The_Full_Spektrom@WeepingLiberty I was kinda picturing Kyle as being new to the Guardian Project, but also having been with the NGPD for a few years as a detective beforehand. This that going to cause any issues?
