Rarely did anyone interact with Kazuma without them having a special reason, like borrowing his notes from the previous class or trying to copy his homework. He was seen as a diligent student, but this wasn't because he wanted to be, it's because he had nothing else better to do in school. As a mute, people found it awkward to talk to him, let alone greet him, because they would only get silence and a brief gesture of greeting. He had been the target of bullies before, since he was an easy target due to his ability to speak or lack thereof. It seems that some girls in class has taken a special interest in him, seeing him as more of a dress-up doll rather than a person, due to his feminine appearance. Luckily he was able to avoid these girls for the majority of his school life. Everyday seemed the same. But today, he has something to look forward to. He recently purchased a VRMMO going by the name of Aincrad: Remastered Edition. Remastered? he thought to himself. It didn't really concern him very much, but it was odd. As the school bell rang, signalling the end of class, Kazuma left in somewhat of a hurry.

As he walked through the front door, he rang a small bell that was next to door. It was the only way he could signify that he was home. But instead of waiting for his mother to even finish greeting him from the living room, he raced up the stairs into his room, throwing his bag randomly into one of the corners in his room. He stared intently at the VR helmet which sat on his bed, he gently picked it up, slipping it onto his head as he laid down in bed. 5:00pm on the dot. The game had already been configured, but he has yet to create his character.

He logged in, the system recognizing his account immediately as it should. The character creation menu came up. He scrolled through the options for Male characters, but he couldn't find any looks that he actually liked. He wanted a character who looked similar to him. Which meant, he needed to make a Female character. It'll be more fun this way anyway.. He thought to himself, smiling inwardly. Messing with people is something he did in his other MMOs, since he used gender ambiguity and never used voice clients, not that he could use them anyway. He had heard that Aincrad has an inbuilt voice system, which worked even if you couldn't speak in real life. Fortunately, he had read on the forum that it corresponds to the sex of your character. Helpful.

He had finished creating his character, it was very much in his likeness, except for the red eyes and..being female, with the name 'Raeki'. Her eyes were greeted with the sight of the Town of Beginnings. Moving and attacking were quite easy things to grasp, so she decided to skip the tutorial. After grabbing the first quest to go slay boars, she moved out of the town, seeing a great deal of other players swinging their weapons and firing magic about the field. Unsheathing her sword, she tested the weight and balance. It was easy to swing and maneuver. Magic this time, a basic fireball, simple enough.

What she really wanted to test out was the voice component. So she made an elongated "Ah~" as if she was singing. It worked. A female voice which sang considerably well. She smiled to herself in triumph whilst some other players had stopped for a moment to look at her, not that she cared at all.

Name: Alya Eloen

Race: Elven

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Birthday: 8th day of Crimsia, 281 DM

Birthplace: Green Fall

Resides in: Green Fall

Occupation: Wandering Bard

Appearance: Alya is seen as more elegant, but can also be described as ‘cute’. She is quite short, being around 5’1”, and she is quite slim. She’s not ‘gifted’ in physical proportions that one would look usually for in a woman, but this doesn’t make her undesirable. Despite having a lack in these physical traits, she is still quite feminine in figure. Her hair is light blue, the tips reaching the middle of her back. And her hair in braided at the top. Her eyes are of a similar colour to her hair, but has a slight greenish tinge. She usually wears a pink and blue, eastern style dress which reaches above her ankles. She doesn’t wear shoes. Despite being an elf, her elven ears aren't very long or sharp, but they are still a little pointed.

Personality: Alya can be described as a person with their ‘head in the clouds’. She’s quite unaware of her surrounds and tends to get lost most of the time. Especially in the Deciduous forests next to Green Fall which she tends to wander into. Since she is mute, conversations with her can be rather off-putting for most, but she has a full grasp of the common language, so she is able to respond with gestures. If she has paper and ink on hand, she will write responses. She has no grasp on the meaning of ‘title’, so any officials or even royalty is mostly ignored due to her lack of awareness. Aside from her quirks, she is quite patient and kind with others.

History:
Alya was born of an Elf/Human couple, who run a local tavern in Green Fall. She was going to work there as a waitress, but it was discovered that she couldn't talk and her personality… Wasn’t quite what they expected. Her parents were concerned, as communication was something that was very important when running a Tavern.

Fortunately, Alya found her passion in music when she borrowed the Tavern bard's flute. Her parents were surprised and delighted when they first heard her play the instrument. Even though she only just picked it up, she could play some basic tunes. With some music lessons from the Tavern's bard, she began to play music for the customers when the Bard wasn't around. Alya was given the nickname "Echo" by travellers who didn't know her name, because her music seemed to echo in their minds even after they had left the city the following day.

As Alya learnt how to play the flute among other instruments, she began to develop magic potential within her. However she has never noticed it. But she somehow uses it without knowing, and it’s used when she’s playing an instrument. She is effectively, a Song Weaver (One who manipulates song or sound). Whenever she uses an instrument, it is used as a conduit for her magic which causes the sound to resonate in a weak hypnotic magic.

What kind of effect her music has on others usually reflects her current emotional state or her intent when playing said music, which can influence the way listeners feel when listening to her music. However she is totally unaware of this aspect of her music.

Her parents were initially against her travelling as a Bard, but they were convinced to let her go after her music had sent a weak shudder of hypnotic magic to change their mind.

Notes:
- She likes to play the flute as she travels which inadvertently causes her magic to activate. Which usually causes small animals to follow her around.
- Despite being a half-breed, her elvish side is more prominent.

I just thought I'd run a few things by you before I create my character for review:

Is it alright if the character has innate magic that they haven't tapped into, but they can use it passively? For context, I was thinking of creating a character who is able to/has the potential to manipulate sound. (the main attributes of control being volume, pitch, and a hypnosis-type). They haven't learnt how to use it, and they seem to unknowingly use it (mostly as a passive, weak hypnosis. Like mesmerization)

Also for appearance, is there a limit to the kind of hair colour the character can have? For example, light blue hair.

EDIT: I think you need to expand on the description on magick types before people make their characters, because some of them are either really vague or can be interpreted differently from what you originally desired.
So, are we allowed to make NPC-like characters? So a character that a shopkeeper, bartender, a city guard, etc.? Or do you just want adventurer-types? OF course the 'NPC-likeness' is only linked to them just being less obligated/motivated to adventure.
I'll also co-GM if you need more than one! AHhaha
@Crimson Raven
You have an equel chance for drops as anyone else. However, if you choose hunter, you get more chance for drops like crafting materials. I don't want someone to have a different chance to get rare loot then others because that could make that person either really OP or really UP.

You can always use a Rolling system like most MMOs do. Everyone rolls 1-100 to see who gets it. As GM, I think it'd be easy for you to facilitate that. However I don't know how this could be implemented into this RP (Since I feel like it should be more story based)

Name: Watanabe Kazuma
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Personality: Kazuma likes being in parties with other people, he can be quite sociable, but he can also be quite quiet (Haha).
Biography: Kazuma is actually a mute, so he only speaks by send PMs or writing on paper.
Other: Kazuma plays a girl character because he wanted to make a character in his likeness, but he's extremely feminine in appearance, so he chose to make a female. He also enjoys the kind of armor aesthetic that girl characters tend to get in MMOs (Excluding the ones that make them nearly naked.). However, sometimes he likes to screw with people using gender ambiguity.

Good CS as well, except for a few things. 1 Why does he play as a girl character? Does he just like to play as one or does he do it to **** around with people? 2 You filled in everything except Range. Like I said to Clocktower, it's just a back-up. You need to choose one, but you won't need to use it. However, you are only allowed 1 passive for now, while you choose 3. Don't worry, you get to choose the other ones later, but that costs upgrade points. Also, about the Armor, you don't have to choose what sort of magical armor you choose. For now, you get BOTH :D. It will have to do something with the skill system when it expands, but for now, you don't have to choose a specific one yet.

I guess I should clarify a few things about him. I'll edit the CS after I do this. He plays a girl character because he wanted to make a character in his likeness, but he's extremely feminine in appearance, so he chose to make a female. He also enjoys the kind of armor aesthetic that girl characters tend to get in MMOs. However, sometimes he likes to screw with people using gender ambiguity.
