A pet peeve of mine is people in groups trying to go it alone. Had it happen in a Bleach RP once; a new graduate wanted to go on a solo mission to the Human World.

When is it appropriate to bump a check?

For me, probably once a day, and only if it goes past the first page/unanswered. Usually though, if you can get people in there to start with and talking, you don't need to more than once a day(sort of as a restart).

preferably not when you see someone else's being bumped, and thus yours not being at the top.

Who are these mythical elitist GMs and why did I never meet them? I feel left out.

You should be fine, personally as a GM I don't even read bios, I read the important bits. Magic, equipment, personalities. and skills. and as a character creator, I pepper in the bio in the other bits.

You should make some type of note though, so people will know. Don't have to tell your whole plan, but some indication. Like you see the Chi going to the sword, that means any chi related ability is coming from that sword, yeah?

Outside of T1, its usually no need to charge. Most just fire off the magic as is.

Also, that'll work, as far as redirecting.

It can be taken as her mostly getting into the zone. I'm not very familiar with Star Wars and how they prep their powers. We can count it as one, I don't mind, honestly. For instance, if you were gonna use your telekinesis, you would mention how her force was being focused to move an object, similar to how I've indicated that my Chi is focused on Geovanni(the sword).
