I think that's because I've been looking at Skallagrims characters for too long. He's a bad influence. All my first RPG characters were all low tier characters. With the exception of the Sand Wraith.

I miss those characters. :K

He has some lower tier ones, I believe. Hahah, it's just the main ones he likes to use have a bit of strength.

Skallagrim, then that's the goal.
Basically

It's actually T1 rules for prep includes you should have an 'imaginative description of this process' so it is clear you are doing a prep of some kind.

Apparently, it only has to be clear to the player(s), not the characters.
So is that like a yes, or no, Skally? xD Because if Nay, then I'm aiming for the first to beat you. Skallagrim vs Alphonse.

Also, because you don't balance well... like... ever. They seem fair to you, but objectively, your characters read like level bosses. Sort of the opposite of Melon.

He focuses on characters on the lower side, you do characters on the higher end. Both have their quirks. You're probably more likely to let things slide, as long as they sound good and have a little logic; Melon isn't. Melon is likely to be the fairer fight(in terms of match up), you aren't.

But, in general, no one runs from you.

Has anyone here beaten you?
I'm afraid of me godmodding or something. How do I know when I should say that my character has sumbitted or died? Is that basically just up to me?

Basically. Don't be one of those people who try and get all... illogical.. when you know that ass has been spanked.
It's possible to beat Skall, at least in theory. To do so you'd have to be as careful and take the battle as serious as him. But that's just a theory. An Arena Theory! Thanks for watching!

To Beat Skally, you have to be among the top ten fighters in the Hall of Records(I think Skally was ranked 11th) xD
It doesn't have to do massive amounts of damage, Fury was used as an example of someone with signs showing. For an example of not having signs show, Alphonse charging his defensive ability. Without any energy sensing abilities, it would be hard to tell what he's doing; without it shimmering around him anyway. In most cases though, people have some sort of visual for it.

Ranged weapons have a big advantage over most people, especially if they are close up fighters. Range can keep them back, and many end up with close range abilities anyway. I don't think ranged characters are bad, they just get played on the super difficulty level, because most don't wanna say their shot was off because of atmospheric conditions, hence 'Super Accuracy!'
In some cases, a sixth sense is okay. I've used it, but if its constantly happening, then it could be an issue.

If they have no way of discerning illusions, then it shouldn't happen, but like the many characters with poison immunity/resistance, that could become a norm.

In reply to Skally, I feel like they'd try and play it off as just a normal dodge, without explaining it.
There are different fighting categories. Realistic, moderately powered and full powered. Each has different focal points for combat; strategies and counters. Which are important. Most people here prefer moderate powered fights. As for me, people spar with me when they want to test character concepts and ideas out.

I.E.: When they wanna see how easily a character can be made to tap out. <3
