Name: Elanalei Ladrengil. Uses the assumed name "Ellen Starvalley".

Age: 75

Gender: Female

Appearance: Something like this. She always wears the hood up, as with it down her true heritage is betrayed by her ears.

Personality: "Ellen" is a dutiful, energetic girl who can be a bit naive and awkward at times. If called out on this, she would claim that this is because she grew up in a remote area and doesn't know how to properly act in social situations, but in truth it is because she is an elf hiding amongst humans. It doesn't really help that as a ranger she's used to acting alone, and is actually somewhat socially awkward even amongst her own people. Elanalei wishes to be honest in everything she does, which combined with the need to hide her true identity as an elf whilst in human lands leads to her being somewhat frustrated most of the time, something that usually comes out as her quickly and awkwardly changing subjects during conversation or randomly going off on her own under the pretense of scouting ahead. Still, whilst she can't be completely honest, it is something she holds to everyone else as well. There is nothing she hates more than liars and cheats.

Brief Backstory: When asked about her past, "Ellen" will very insistently declare herself to be a human from a small farming village who spent most of her 16 years of human life helping her definitely human parents work the land. Whilst she is somewhat more convincing then the description makes her out to be, the fact is that this is a complete fabrication, up to and including the part about being human. Secretly, she is in fact Elanalei Ladrengil, an elven ranger who has came to the human lands in disguise as one of them for unknown reasons (although it can be assumed that even the elves are worried about the growing numbers of dragon attacks as of late). Due to how rare a sight elves are in the human lands, and how much panic the sight of one would probably cause, it is clear why she has taken up a disguise; not just because such an uncommon sight as an elf would cause a lot of commotion, but because whilst anti-elf sentiments are rare they are not exactly unheard of. After following several rumours, she eventually heard about the Great Iron Mountain and is currently headed there.

Abilities: "Ellen" seems to possess greater speed and agility than other humans, whilst her endurance and toughness is below average. Despite what she claims, this is not in fact due to her being a Dragonslayer but in fact due to her secretly being an elf. What Elanalei does gain from being a Dragonslayer is superhuman coordination and reflexes, as well as enhanced eyesight that she uses to augment her already deadly prowess with the bow. Strangest of all her abilities, however, is the fact that she can seemingly understand wild animals and manipulate them to do her bidding. This ability only works on non-sapient, mundane creatures, but it can be useful for sending messages, scouting ahead in dangerous areas, aiding her in battle and, in the case of an emergency, making sure she doesn't starve.

Equipment: Elanalei's main (and indeed, only) weapon is a strange bow of unknown make, with a light yet strong body and bladed edges that allow it to be used for both ranged and close-quarters combat. With this bow, she uses a variety of different arrows. As well as the standard steel-tipped arrows, she has in her quiver special heavy-tipped arrows used for punching through the thick scales of dragons, in addition to arrows whose tips are tubes filled with several substances; these include a thick adhesive that sets quickly around those it hits, gunpowder that explodes on impact, powerful acid that can melt through solid rock, and a special chemical that creates a blinding flash on impact. For protection, Elanalei wears a light mithral shirt under her tunic.
