Let's Go! Magical Girls!

You (yes, YOU) are just your average Japanese teenage girl, with an average life and average problems! Your life consists of worrying about getting to school on time, finishing assignments, whether or not the person you have a crush on even notices you, and other petty little issues that are really not all that significant in the long run!

Also, monsters are attacking your home town roughly every Saturday.

This is generally an accepted thing. The monsters show up, cause random havoc, and then leave mysteriously before anyone gets seriously injured or killed. No-one knows where they come from or why they're doing this, other than the vague cries about "ENERGY!" they occassionally make, but it's become such a regular thing that no-one really worries about it too much anymore. The monsters have even become something of a tourist attraction, drawing in people from far and wide. To be honest, you probably think the influx of tourists are more annoying than the monsters.

...But why are the monsters even here anyway? Is there some deeper, more sinister purpose to their weekly attacks? And is it only a matter of time before they become more dangerous and less predictable?

So, magical girls. We know them, we love them. With the advent of Madoka Magica, a lot of people seem to like doing dark, depressing, cynical magical girl RPs, where the monsters are a very real and lethal threat and the girls are crushed souls struggling to hold onto their sanity as everything they love dies horribly around them.

This is not one of those RPs.

Whilst there is plenty of scope for grimdark magical girls out there, the fact is that the genre is heavily steeped in cheesiness and outright silliness. What I intend to do is play up this side of the genre, and make a fun and parodic take on magical girls that celebrates the inherent ridiculousness of such series as Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura and the Precure franchise rather than ripping them a new one. The idea, if the above pitch didn't make it obvious, is that you are a regular girl in a regular Japanese town that just so happens to have monsters suddenly appear every week for roughly the last half-year. At the start of the RP, your character will recieve AWESOME MAGICAL POWERS! with which to fight said monsters... Although the powers might not be as awe-inspiring as you'd expect. >.> <.<

So... Just seeing if there's any interest in this idea, I guess. If there is, I'll try and get an OOC up and go into more detail. Well, not much more detail, as part of the reason I'm making this is also to blow off steam with something silly and not meticulously planned out. This will hopefully be a seat of your pants kind of thing, I guess. XD

Appearance: Whee. And yes, I know we're probably not using Adventure Digivices but yeah.

Digivice Colour: Icy blue and white.

Personality: Arrogant and snobbish, Naomi believes that she stands above all others. However, despite looking down on those of what she percieves as lower status than her, she is surprisingly willing to give help to them whenever they need it. She firmly believes in noblesse oblige, the idea that those of higher social standing have an obligation to act honourably and that with privilege comes the responsibility to look after those who are less privileged. Being the heiress to a multinational conglomerate does take its toll on her, however; she hasn't really been able to socialize with those her own age very much, leading her to come off as even more haughty towards them. In addition, she doesn't take defeat very well; not only does she think she is superior to others, but the pressure put on her to succeed in all fields is staggering and it's a wonder why she hasn't cracked yet. Her biggest worry, though, is the fact that she is expected to provide an heir to succeed her once she takes the reigns of the Kenstar Conglomerate, something that she would find rather difficult for more than one reason...

Brief History: As heiress to the Kenstar Conglomerate, a multinational industrial juggernaut, it is only natural that Naomi would feel somewhat superior to other people. Despite being part of an exceedingly rich family, her life hasn't exactly been easy, as for as long as she can remember she has been expected to excel in all fields pertaining to running a business. All her life she has slaved under private tutors, getting barely a moments rest before having to move on to her next class. She has never really been around those her own age, having been surrounded by adults almost all the time, so when she started recieving mysterious e-mails she initially wrote them off as spam and never told anyone about them even as she continued to read them, finding them somewhat amusing. Little did she know at the time where this would lead her...

Appearance: On the left.

Attribute: Virus

Type: Ghost

Personality: Humble and diligent, Chillmon dutifully carries out any orders given to her. However, despite initially coming off as overly polite to everyone, she can be rather sarcastic and will often let off a subtle verbal jab at anyone she thinks is doing something stupid or is too arrogant for her liking. Despite this, and her Virus attribute, she's a good Digimon at heart and tries her best to protect her partner no matter what.

Evolution Line: SnowBotamon > Tokomon > Chillmon > Sundaemon > KnickerbockerSundaemon > Parfaitmon

Well that took long enough. ^^; Backstory is kind of... Bad, but oh well. I will need to draw up her Mega Digimon at some point I guess, but I guess this will do for now. If need be I will try and drum up a quick rundown of her Digimon's attacks and abilities but hopefully what I've got will do for now.

For reasons I'd rather not go into, I quite frankly find it a bit insulting. ^^;

Haven't been saying anything since I didn't want to post until I had something a bit more concrete. But I've just been having a lot of trouble with this character idea, honestly. I liked the initial idea (absurdly rich girl who starts off kind of snobbish and arrogant but would hopefully eventually mellow out, if it means anything; also hey, that's part of the reason why her Digimon's a maid XD), but I just seem to be hitting a wall whenever I try to write her up. Hum.

...If I don't have her done by Saturday I'll either try and figure out something else or drop out, although hopefully I won't have to resort to the latter option. ^^;

Kamelot formed in '91 and released their first album in '95 actually, so not really. XD I mean the first part whose Stands were all entirely named after musical references has one named Pearl Jam, after all.

And come on, she's King Arthur. There's no more fitting Stand name for her than that. XD
