Mmm We could do something like that. This way, it could explain how our characters ended up gaining such a wide variety of abilities since all sorts of things would be flowing in and out. The only thing I kind of have a problem is I've been envisioning our characters taking some time to figure out that they were jumping like they wouldn't have any clue till anyone told them of the old stories, or they figured some things out by putting some legends together or just from constantly going from one place to another. It might just be me, but a town like that would come best after a few jumps.
Of course I'm open to the notion.
Hmmm... The best suggestion I can come up with here is making the people in the world (or at least all the ones the players meet) be a mix of people who are just as confused as the players, and opportunistic pirates who don't see why they should explain anything. I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not, though, hmmm.

Well, obviously minus the destroyed worlds bit, but yeah. XD More like a world between worlds of sorts where stuff from other worlds just ends up somehow.
Well, had a random idea for a starting world at least, but not sure if it's any good. ^^; Basically something like... Traverse Town, was it? I haven't played Kingdom Hearts in a loooong time but I think that was the name of the world that was basically a kind of dimensional hub or something where stuff from a whole bunch of other worlds ended up drifting to somehow. Just a random suggestion though. ^^;
Guess I need to get my stuff together soon then. Um, hmmm.
