That sounds like it would work perfectly, honestly. And I like the idea of a ragtag bunch of villains grouping together for the darker one, too, since I am a massive geek and love villain team-ups for some reason. XD

If you're willing to put up with the extra work, that might be fun. One would be gritty and serious, whilst the other would be completely off its meds. XD I'd honestly be fine with either really (as long as the dark one isn't dark to a stupid extent, but I'm sure that won't happen), but yeah.

And hey, if they both work out we could always have a crossover at some point, but that's probably getting way ahead of ourselves.

Dairanger feels a little bit like cheating to me, since the mecha from that were used for the second series of Power Rangers. XD But I dunno, it has some pretty cool themes to it, so maybe. ...I think the main reason I suggested the alternative Go-Busters and Dinosamba is because they have a good amount of rangers and it means it's easy for everyone to choose a colour they like, but... My mind works in weird ways.

As for the music idea... I think in most basic terms it would be that each ranger is based upon a genre of music (for example, Red Rock, Pink Pop, Black Metal, etc.), their weapons are based on musical instruments and... I'm not sure what the mecha would be like right now, but yeah. Hmmm...

I just had a somewhat silly idea, actually: loosely adapting (by which I mean just using the suits and mecha from) a pre-Zyuranger sentai into Power Rangers. I'm not sure how serious a suggestion this is, but if we went that route I'd suggest going with Jetman (birds/planes). The main problem I see with this idea is that it kind of limits what we could do, though. But again, I'm not sure how serious I am about this, so yeah.

Or conversely, one that hasn't been adapted yet, like Go-Busters (special ops/animals), the alternate Go-Busters, or Kyoryuger (DINOSAURS AND SAMBA!). But, um, yeah.

Interest! Also, going to suggest music as the motif, since Toei's already done that for Kamen Rider and Precure, and we all know they like to reuse themes.
