Current Huh, has it really been three years since my last post? I guess I’m back at least to lurk around.

Dear life, I was told to get one but you are killing me. Can I get a refund on the extra hours at work and the lack of sleep for a bit of freetime. Yours dearly, The Coffeeholic

Sleep? You mean there is a such thing called a regular sleep schedule?

Bio

RP Status: Full. I'd be open to chatting but I'm currently not accepting any new RPs.

After a three year hiatus I’m back and with a new username.

  • I joined the Guild in the summer of 2011
  • I enjoy gardening, hiking, cooking and listening to podcasts (if you have any podcast suggestions send them my way)
  • I have a huge interest in roleplays where I can really dive into the psychological side of my characters but not a fan of romance based roleplays

If you want to know more about me or want to chat, feel free to PM me. I'm always up to meeting new people.

User, I PMed you a few days ago but never got a response from you. Are you still interested? One of the two spots are taken and I am taking your spot off of reserved so that it's up for grabs for anyone to take.
Oh yes! Sorry about the delay. I feel really bad about doing that to you. I think I should be able to scrounge up a post tonight, if not I'll have one up tomorrow.
Oh wow, today was a tiring day but I'm nearly done. Happy belated fourth for those in the U.S.

Sounds good Pickle! I'll start working on a post once I get home so that we can keep things moving. It shouldn't bother you too much Pickle and Lydyn so don't feel rushed in getting something up before I post.

Q)If a user leaves a RP for some reason, should the GM have ultimate authority in what happens to the character, or should the creator? And if the creator, what if they make unreasonable demands that don't fit the story? Please feel free to post your answers in this thread!

I believe that the GM should have the ultimate authority within the roleplay and what happens to the characters. However GMing a roleplay shouldn't be solely focused micromanaging every single detail of a roleplay and those within the roleplay should have the ability to control their character within the story, including its exit. However, if the creator crosses the line and brings forth unreasonable demands, I believe the GM should have the power to either ask the creator to change their plans or if need be to dictates what happens to the character for the sake of the roleplay.
Sorry, my vocabulary is usually better than this but what do you mean by status quo? Haha, I've heard it used before but the meaning of the phrase escapes me at this moment.
I've seen it done but it isn't something I am personally comfortable with, although I'm rarely comfortable when it comes to playing canon characters due to the fact that I would be more focused (and probably a little overstressed) on trying not to veer away from the way the person would act and react to situations instead of focusing on the general roleplay. In my opinion playing as real characters would seem harder to do so in comparison to fictional characters.
Alright, you have my seal of approval! I just saw your PM so we can discuss that and any other questions you have if you'd like and in no time, you'll be able to join us! I added you to the first page but I had trouble permalinking your post (probably because someone that posted in here was banned and now things are a little messed up since the posts are technically hidden and not deleted) so I linked your character sheet to the page instead of your post.

Oh, I was wondering. Has anyone heard from Tenebrous? I sent a PM but haven't gotten a response back and I'm wondering if he's just busy/taking a break/etc. or if he's gone. Unless I hear something from him, I'll probably take him down after a round or two (of course not permanently since I'm more than willing to accept those who joined previously again without a problem).
