Weakly waving her hand in response to Victor's directions, Alexis hurriedly departed the scene, barely finding her way to the bathroom and into a stall in time. The next few minutes were filled with less than pleasant sounds, some panting, and finally a flush. Many more minutes passed before Alexis felt well enough to leave, looking paler but still trying her best to look dignified.
Determined to ensure that this incident would never be revisited, Alexis slowly wandered through the house, returning to her earlier goal of learning the building's layout. And making a mental note to never again try the cat's cooking. She was a nice enough woman, but that stuff was worse than poison,
Anything not on the OP's banlist.

All spots are full at the moment, anyway, I'm afraid.
The first duel progressed, and from the stands, Anna watched silently. She wasn't too knowledgeable on either Evolsaurs or Koa'ki Meirus, and thus had no idea what to expect. Flaming dinosaurs versus... er... whatever the Meirus were, was certainly an interesting opening for this tournament.

"...So the Koa'kis need that iron core thing?" Anna muttered thoughtfully to herself, "Evolsaurs... summon stronger versions of themselves?"

It was hard to tell who would win at this stage. Riley's dinosaurs seemed to have the advantage, thanks to the field spell, but Akio seemed to be mounting a comeback, thanks to that continuous spell. Fists rested on her knees as the confidence-lacking knight wondered if she stood a chance against either of them. Well... it probably wouldn't matter anyway, it wasn't like she was going to win her first duel, anyway...

That makes it all the cuter. The visual I have for the Ginello is quite adorable. Also, HEY GUYS LOOK ART!I figure having Victor, who is sweet and affectionate and friendly, paired with Alexis, who is all business, would throw her for a loop between trying to behave like a strict bodyguard but have this guy worried and fretting over her safety. His one and only princess.YES THERE ARE ROMANTIC UNDERTONES TO ALL THESE, SO SUE ME!For those who can't see images on here though, just go

Well, Alexis sure took that beating from Marie well.
Alexis had seemingly frozen as her mind fearfully tried to process just what the hell was slaughtering her taste buds. It certainly wasn't sweet, whatever it was. The horrid cookie was resting in her mouth as she contemplated spitting it out, but with so many people around, starting to express concern, as well as the one who concocted the vile thing to begin with (under no malicious intent, as far as the bodyguard could tell), that would just... not look good for her, she decided.

Damn it... I've trained all my life to be the best bodyguard... Alexis berated herself, slowly forcing herself to chew some more, and there's no way I'm going to let myself lose to a stupid cookie!

Miraculously, she managed to swallow the lethal biscuit. Predictably, her stomach almost immediately began trying to eject the foreign invader, and after a moment of composing herself, Alexis weakly addressed the concerned parties, "It's... it's fine, don't worry. The cookie tasted... unique," she gasped, lurching forward. The sooner she could find a bathroom, the sooner Alexis could discreetly cleanse her stomach of the poison. Where was that map...? Damn, she dropped it. Oh well, there had to be one nearby.
Trembling and totally not at all breathless from her mad sprinting towards the arena, Anna stood away from her fellow students and stared at the bracket on display. So she was on third... well, at least she wasn't immediately being thrust onto te battlefield. But now she had to endure an agonising wait! And her opponent... Anna snuck a glance at Xi, taking in her appearance and immediately paling even more than she already was.

No way! There's no way I can duel someone like that, right?! the wannabe-knight fretted to herself, Sh-she looks like a g-g-gang leader! Wh-wat am I supposed to do about that?!

Artorigus, typically enough, didn't seem to intimidated by any of the opposition, though he could tell at a glance that Anna's chances of beating anyone there were... less than optimal. And that was bound to cripple her already-lacking confidence. That eye-patched girl... she was the reputed troublemaker, wasn't she? It seemed quite the cruel match-up for one such as Akira.
The king sighed softly to himself, indicating that the girl should take a seat. Se would just have to prepare herself mentally before the duel started.

OK, so I'm drawing my characters paired with everyone else's *Capello with the descendants and Victor with the bodyguards* and I'm not gonna lie, the drawing of Alexis and Victor is f*cking adorable.

Well, that'll be worth seeing. Alexis being adorable.
I get the strange feeling that Anna won't survive her duel.
The Alexis Show, featuring Marie, Exo, Mattis
"Thank you," Alexis replied, taking the map, "And I am, yes. It is a pleasure to meet you."

A large dog suddenly burst onto the scene as Alexis was offered one of the cookies. She couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the canine, who seemed desperate to consume the baked goods. This maid's cooking was clearly extremely popular, or she mixed dog food into the biscuits. Well, nothing wrong with the scent...

Tucking the map under one arm, Alexis received a cookie into her free, bottle-less hand as she turned to face another staff member, one of the few people that necessitated craning her neck upwards slightly. So that was the poolboy mentioned earlier. She bowed her head politely towards him.
"Anderson," she corrected, "Feel free to refer to me as 'Alexis'. It is a pleasure to meet you, as well."

Well, if nothing else, the staff seemed quite friendly, and well-informed. The residents... were energetic, especially the dog. Well, that wasn't necessarily a bad thing she figured. Still, someone like that was a bodyguard...
Resisting the urge to frown slightly, Alexis raised the cookie to her lips, as if savouring the texture before taking a small bite. Yeah... this was pretty g-

Oh no.
Don't worry, Alexis managed to rescue one.
