Bio

Hello curious person, I am Rumiko Goddess of Chaos, Benevolent Dictator; The Bluemoon Dreamer....You know a nut case

Where do I come from? I could be a smartie an say the "Great State of Denial" but lets just agree that I like keeping my RL Life disconnected from my RP Life.

I survived Guildfall and have always loved this place even though I see a lot of good RP time eaten up in Discord drivel

It has been a long time since I was in the world of darkness

“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”
Hamlet to Horatio

Sandy had only been aboard the raft with the other survivors perhaps an hour as they tried to make for the Island in the distance paddling with their hands only to realise they were caught in a strong ocean current and all their effort wasted. She had simply laid back and relaxed just as she would have if she’d gotten lost on a dig; you never got anywhere when you focused on the negatives when the primary one was so important.

The others handled things as they found fit and she didn’t interfere or allow herself to be drawn into any squabbles and it was while weathering one such debate she saw writing across the raft and bored decided to read it. It was an idiot manual and she was thankful for it as she had no idea of how to properly use a rescue raft. It was printed on the outside of a velcroed pocket that contained a sea anchor, flare pistol and three flare rounds, hand fishing tackle and a survival manual printed on waterproof pages.

Naturally she surrendered the flares and flare gun to one of the men then deployed the sea anchor into the strong current so the raft was less at the mercy of the winds. Then she searched the rest of the raft finding the inflatable roof that’s primary duty was to protect them from the sun.

The fishing kit came under discussion by the men as she leaned back on the cushion she’d pulled aboard with her knowing it was not simply something to rest her head on but her life vest after a fashion and a practical girl she saw no good reason to think differently.

Two days passed as their raft rolled on tall seas dragging them who the hell knew where and Sandy began to worry because she was beginning to feel the effects of dehydration and thought they had perhaps two more days before they began to suffer it’s brutal onset and then it began to rain and everyone gorged themselves on rainwater as if it were the finest drink ever presented. And so it was that a happy group so began to realize that the rain was not stopping and the seas grew unfriendly.

Somewhere in the morning or next day a nasty wave capsized the raft and Sandy was swept away her last sight of the others clinging to the overturned raft as she clung to her faithful cushion. The sea and storm matched themselves to her will finding iron which they began to hammer.

How long her ordeal lasted Sandy couldn’t say or when she passed out but she did know she was covered in sticks weeds and sand clutching the cushion in a death grip that took effort to open when she sat up. She was 150 feet from the surf in what must be the storm surge limit and she was alive; alone but alive. As far as her previous survival chances went this was a vast improvement and she knew she needed to get off her rear and get to acquiring the 3 necessities of survival; water, food, and shelter.

Her first find was a lucky one, water and it was cold and clean and in fitting with what was a northern subtropical environment. There were no palms but rich evergreens signaling this area has cold winters then there were other clues but she didn’t care as she stripped and plunged into the pool to wash all the salt and sand from her body.

This is a highjacking because I’m tired of RP ending without a word.
Don’t know where I’m exactly heading but I’m in for discussion on the topic

OOC Name: RumikoOhara
Character's Full Name: Sandy Cooper
Nicknames: (Not so Lucky or Cursed)

Personality: Sandy is an inquisitive young woman who’s seen by her peers in college as a bookworm because she always has her Pad or a Book in her hands reading. Quiet and unobtrusive she is the perfect roommate in school especially when she is out of the country working on her Undergraduate in Anthropology (Archaeology); did I forget to mention she’s a geek girl.

Outside of the serious field in which she is seeking a Doctorate Sandy loves things like Anime, Comic Books, and Fantasy. She attends the yearly convention in Atlanta where she goes to Emory and can be seen that time of year dressed in at least three different Cosplay costumes which amuses her roommates and the neighbors and she doesn’t bat an eyelash.

But that is the Civilization Sandy because when she is on a dig she is a tireless excavator, cataloger, cook, nurse, or whatever else she’s asked to be by her professors. She is more in her element when digging through the earth of past ages and shifting the remains of someone out of the terrain than she ever felt at home.

Background/ History: Sandy was on her way to a dig and the flight her first leg as she was flying halfway around the world. Normally she would have been traveling with the rest of the Dig crew but in this instance she’s the lead element of the dig and was going to make sure they had the equipment and laborers ready and waiting for the professors and other graduate students to arrive.

Accessories: Victorian Ladies Compass given to her by her Grandmother who said it was once her great, grandmothers. Designed for ornamentation more than service it still has a beautiful needle and face which can serve as its intended appearance if you had no other.

Pam watched the others careful to observe social cues knowing that perceiving yourself in power and having the group accept it were related but vastly different in dynamics. Confidence and quick decision making a must but there were also other factors, factors she’d learned on her climb up the pole. She had survived the drugs and the creeps and the bullies and the only one she trusted was herself and whoever she could manipulate; the last only as far as she could see them.

They used to call Pam’s schooling “The school of hard knocks” and she had graduated valedictorian and before it all hit the fan was on the rise to a career in Vegas where until her looks failed she’d planned on making her fortune but that had gone to shit. Her dreams had been shattered replaced by this ugly world but she was a survivor and she was going to live no matter what she had to do.

What an odd question, I saw and heard the comtion and wondered what was going on and hoping to help said Pam using just enough volume to be heard and not so loud as she might come across as shrill.

I’m alone and it's not safe to be alone in this world so I was so hoping that I could hook up with a group because the last one I was with headed out into the waste and haven’t returned…...If...if you want I can leave she added finishing her statement

"In the town where I was born lived a man who sailed the sea; and he told of us of his life, in the land of submarines" Sings Pam behind her mask with a sweet tone she's practiced just for those times when her face is masked.

Once she's decided to make a move the clever blonde acts without fear or hesitation so she makes she her walk reinforce her sexuality knowing its effect on males reduced to a primal state and even gives her an air of defenselessness to which most men respond to as a natural course of being men.

Sure there were people that looked down on her because she knew that she herself was barter and the effort easy, in fact, she had a plan to find herself a strong man whom could give her strong children because she knew from school primitive cultures and how the elderly needed to have many children around them as a means of support and protection in the fading years and that a woman married early so that having those children was easier to recover from. She wondered if they would understand that in their societal state at present all the sweetness and light of love stuff a fantasy; the happily ever after was gone replaced by hard reality.

Pam watched the show wondering if they had the ammo to spare or just had something against the creature because she herself would have run like a bunny using the local terrain to slow the creature down; after all there were no stores open that could resupply them. But baring that in mind she thought to herself they might be a good group to attach herself to in to off chance she could salvage goods off of when their bravado got them killed.

So gathering her things she looked around the bus sighing because she had been looking forward to a little rest till all the turmoil started. Then as she always did she followed her nose to possible salvage and slipped off the bus. She moved slowly and stealthy through the surrounding rubble only stopping when she heard whistling.

Pam heard some creatures screaming north of her position so she pulled her micro monocular from her pocket and moved to the bus windows that faced that direction and slowly moved up to look out careful to sweep the area around her shelter for any other creature that might be close enough to spot her and take an interest in her.

Clearing her zone first she then focused on the source of the noise where she spotted a creature she wouldn’t want to try and figure out how to eat or if it was even edible. Near the large beast was another woman and she appeared to be taking aim with a small pistol as she sought to face the damn thing down.

Pam would have sought an escape route away from the thing instead of trying to fight it but on the bright side she thought if the thing killed the other woman she could wait till sunrise tomorrow and go and see if there was anything left to salvage.

Pam was out of marks the last crowd she’d been running with having been dead set on crossing the wasteland where those few who had tried and returned from said was barren and free of even dirty water the later good enough reason for her to cut away from them to seek another group with a less suicidal mindset. This meant she once more had to fend for herself but for her that was just another day in her life and she was still breathing which was all anyone could hope for on in this world.

She didn’t waste time thinking about the idiot who had called himself Snake and the others who followed him blindly and only counted her time with him not a total waste because she’d gotten her new ALICE pack from him as a gift...well that’s what he’d called it but she thought of it as payment for services rendered her only regret that she had never gotten him to give her one of the 6 rifles his band possessed.

Her present problem was shelter from the elements and the creatures that used the darkness to hunt, not that daylight was any safer but at least she could see what wanted to eat her and stood a chance of making her hunter a meal before they did the same to her. She moved as silently as a shadow careful not to leave a trace of her passage as she looked for her temporary hidey hole and was soon rewarded by finding what looked like an old city bus that had all it’s windows somehow and forced the old rear door open then had to use all her strength to close so that she could feel safe.
