I'm Rundvlees and I love to write, and seeing how this is an rp website I'm guessing many others share my views. I haven't done rp in a while -at least not seriously, mostly I dabbled in short roleplays with my buds through text and whatnot, but I haven't been in a serious, plot-based, and though-out rp in a long while, and I'd love to start again.

Rp Genres I'm Interested In
-Apocalyptic (Zombies, Nuclear War, etc.)
- Horror
- Sci-fi (Dystopian)
- Medieval Fantasy (High, Rough)
-Thriller
-Action/Adventure
-Historical

I'm mostly interested in roleplays that either take place way in the past, or way in the future, though at times I will settle with rps based in present timelines.

Ok, next- ehh...

I don't like one-liners, or really anything less than a paragraph! I understand if someone starts to get writer's block during an rp and shortens the length of their reply, but Jesus, don't do one-liners; I'll cry and die a little.
I like to write at least a paragraph or two and I really try to keep my grammar and spelling in line, though I'm no expert in literature.

I don't mind cursing or gore because I quite enjoy a bit of gross detail, just as long as it's kept to a reasonable extent.

Really, all I ask is that we all try and have fun while roleplaying and respect each others terms and conditions.

That's all folks!

No, I don't live in the Netherlands, my friend wanted me to start learning so I tried it out.
@Odin

Ha ah, oké.
Eveneens(?) Ik ben niet goed in schrijven in het Nederlands
I'm much better at speaking than writing, I've only been practicing for a little while
@Odin

ik denk dat beide goed zijn, persoonlijk
Welcome to the site! I'm fairly new here too, and it's nice to see someone else who seems to share the love of apocalypse. Hope you have fun

Pleasure to be here

Name: Florence Weaver
Gender: Female
Age: 20, Actual age: 30
Height: 5"9
Alignment: Neutral-good

Personality: Quick-witted with a tendency to retort sharply when anxious or threatened, though she would much rather keep back and stay quiet

Mannerisms: When annoyed she has the habit of pinching the bridge of her nose, screwing up her eyes and/or pacing

Appearance: Florence has the brown palette of her mother, yet the charm of her father. Skin colored soft like chestnut, and eyes dark like rich soil -Florence never had the most amazing appeal, but she had her moments.
To most others, her softened square jaw, straight mouth, and low-set brows made her look handsome and serious.
She has shoulder length black hair, which falls straight with the occasional bouncy curl, mostly always in a ponytail or bun.
Though not being all that tall, Florence's lean physique always seems to boost the perception of her height somehow.

History: With the privilege of growing up as an only child, Florence was dearly loved on by her parents.

Though the practice of starting families and keeping ties had grown unpopular with each generation of the 3000s-- the Martian men and women seemed to regain that human moral as they spent years away from Earth.

This trait of compassion easily passed on to Florence as her mother, Aditi, would constantly tell her to "be nice and play gentle"

Her father, Bruce, on the other hand, taught her his strength and grit by having her help at the facility of agriculture, the Greenery.

Once an adult, Florence became a Green Master and was well-known in her community of farmers.

She constantly helped fix things and delivered sod and soils, and didn't complain for the most part.

However-- she wasn't exactly nice.

It was her quietness that kept her from trouble, and most people tended to take that trait as a weakness. Florence is quite quick-witted, and has a tendency to retort harshly-- but only when need be.

At the age of 20 Florence was forced to retreat into her slumber pod after a freak accident occurs. When she wakes up, everything has changed for the worst and eventually she learns that she, and many others, had slept away 10 years of their lives.

Year 3000.

The earth is dying, decaying right under the people's feet, and they're willing to do anything to survive.

After more than 1,000 years of picking at Earth's ozone, mother nature can finally take no more, and now precious air is limited.

luckily for the people of Earth, they were already prepared for this upcoming disaster. Mars was already claimed as property, and space buses were ready for deployment. Volunteers would spend the next 100 years on Mars to prep it for the rest of the nation's people.

Everything was going well, and the "Martians" kept in contact with Earth every 2 years. But suddenly children and livestock on Mars begin dying, same as the agriculture.

Something was wrong.

Turned out that Mars wasn't as docile as it seemed. When computers malfunction, a toxic gas native to the planet was released, which slowly killed off the peoples' children and food sources.

While trying to evacuate and call off the mission, their fuel source explodes after coming in contact with the noxious gas.

The people of Mars are instructed to go back into their pods and wait until the next day for instructions.

They end up sleeping 10 years away, frozen in time...

Note

Your character awakens when their slumber pod opens. They weak and parched.

There are zombie-esque creatures in this, and unique vocabulary such as:

Martians- Citizens of Mars
Villages- The towns which house Martians (4 in total)
Greenery- Enormous plant nurseries found within all 4 villages, the workplace for growing crop
Green Master- Specialized farmers w/ access & knowledge to the Greeneries
Engineering Lab- Also known as the Laboratories, these are the workplaces dealing with most technology in the Villages
Technician- Highly trained tech scientists with access to some laboratories
Seekers- Special officers who kept in contact with Earth and studied Mars, most work as Peacekeepers among the villages
Pod Bay- Resting and living spaces for all citizens (only accessible through Quarantine)
Pod- sleeping pod in which a citizen goes in order to rest
Anti-G boots- Anti-gravity boots (all Martians must wear them, lest they be sucked into space as soon as they go outside)
(You can choose to be part of any Village; A, B, C, or D, and you can choose any occupation. Just note, the areas do have different sets of risk and reward)

Monster Types
Foamer- They flash bright green when startled. The most human looking of all of the monsters-- they have soggy pale skin that can be covered with a slimy, luminous liquid. The liquid is harmless, but the bites are not. They have razor-like claws and bone-crunching teeth. They move a bit slow.

Drippers- Mutated creatures with grey or yellow skin, and flesh dripping off of their bones. Disgustingly long yellow teeth and equally yellow mouths. The flesh that drips off of them is highly acidic and very painful. Once killed, their bodies create mushroom-like spores that explode a deadly mist which infects and turns the living into the infected. They move at a moderate pace.

Crawlers - Skinny, skeletal looking creatures with black/ brownish charred skin and infection ridden, two inch claws, they crawl on all four and move incredibly fast. They lack eyes and nostrils, and rely completely on their hearing.

None of these "zombies" can infect you with a bite or scratch, but you can get extremely sick and die if not treated properly. The only way for you to become infected is to be exposed to the spores which shoot out of dead Drippers.

Remember, Crawlers are the most abundant of the three types, and Drippers are the least.

Hey everyone, newcomer here. I hope to see and rp some interesting things! I'm interested in apocalypse, sci-fi, and some forms of fantasy roleplays, and I tend to write more than one paragraph with spelling that's mostly accurate. I hope to meet some others who enjoy the same things.
