Personality:
Like the West Wind, from which his family takes its name, Zane is a mild person. Slow to anger, but also rarely excited, staying in that mediocre point between the two. His main passion is martial arts, which he has been dedicated to since a young age. He has a fighting style that is almost like dancing, and even at this young age shows qualities of being a great teacher.

History:
For hundreds of years, the Wind Blade school have been practicing a... unique fighting style. They fight as swordsmen, but enter combat bare handed. The developed means by which they manipulate the air via some low level psychokinesis. Among the school have been the four families of Notos, Boreas, Eurus, and Zephyrus. For all this time, they remained secluded, until Zane was exiled for perceived transgressions.
Zane was not an exceptional student among his generation, but his cool head and tenacity allowed him to push himself to try and reach greater heights. This brought the ire of his fellows, who perceived the young Zephyrus as a threat to their future position. To remove him, they stole one of the sacred artifacts, and pinned the crime on Zane.
The student was exiled, though this wasn't a problem for the boy. To him, the Wind Blade was a frog in a well, a safe place but one where ones growth is stunted by ignorance. After a few years of journeying, he heard that there would be a martial arts competition where all manner of fighting styles would meet. The fact of the prize money was no small incentive either, and so the young martial artist headed towards is destiny.

Common Techniques

• Air Blade By moving at insanely fast speed, the users hands create a powerful blade of wind out of the air.
• Sword of the Zephyr Utilising ancient martial arts, the user creates an air sword. This allows the user to show the full power of the Wind Blade school.
• Tornado Step The user creates a burst of wind, using an almost horizontal jump to close distance quickly.
• Hurricane The so called killer move of the Wind Blade school, the user seems to create a miniature hurricane around his opponent as he unleashes a barrage of powerful sword strikes.

Other: He's a glass cannon, very fast but low durability.

Basic Description of Civilization:
The Xythae are a meritocracy, being run by the College of Arkain. The College is divided between 5 factions named after the five elements of Fire, Water, Air, Earth, and Lightning. Among the factions the rule of Droit de Mortis is a common way to attain positions of power. The leader of each faction is known as an Archmage, mostly because they are insanely hard for their underlings to kill. Though assassination is a regular occurrence, previous generations have established set rules for this which have penalties of demotion for breaking.
A playfully macabre collective, they prefer the intellectual stimulation of politics to that of war, joining the Galactic Conclave as soon as it reached out.Though sorely lacking in military, their technological advancement is second to none... especially in the art of assassination. Word to the wise, best not to drink anything they offer you.
