Name: River Monroe

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Description (detailed and/or a picture): River has short, black hair that barely reaches her shoulders, with a distinct red streak. The only real identical feature between the two are their eyes. Both of the sisters have light hazel, almost just green eyes. River is shorter than her sister by an inch, being at 5’7”. She is petite and small built, but was an athlete before the world ended so is very fit.
Appearance

Backstory/Bio: As the younger of the two girls, River grew up being babied, which she enjoyed for a few years. But when she was old enough to understand her sister’s jealousy she quickly resented and put an end to the babying. She always wanted to be like her older sister, Leanne.

When River started high, they became one-sided enemies. Leanne seemed to hate her but River loved and admired her sister. Throughout her high school years Leanne picked on, bugged, and made fun of he, but she did nothing. She stuck her nose in a book and accepted it.
River wasn't antisocial, just no one understood her completely or why she put up with what she put up with. River grew further from her sister through school and worse at home. Things at home began to grow tense as their parents began to fight more often and loud crashes would keep the her up in the attic, reading as she avoided them. Their parents fought physically often as well. So seeing that, River decided learning self-defense would be the best way to protect herself against them.

When River turned 18, she moved to Colorado but her sister stayed in the same home. Even after bother their parents died in a car accident. The distance was a bit difficult for River at first but as she met people it was easier. And by the time she graduated she had a few close friends and a bigger collection of novels and books. She lived her life peacefully until the bombs began to drop. She watched as bombs hit major cities first and fear overtook her heart.

River quickly left the city and went out on the road into the mountains. Frantically, River called and messaged her sister to meet up with her, hoping she wasn't already too late. Soon bombs began to drop more frequently and in smaller towns, devastating the world, so she decided to stay in the middle of nowhere until the war was over. River knew from all of her reading that the outskirts were the best places to survive.

Hoping that her sister was okay, she headed back to her barren wasteland of a hometown. Walking through the ruined graveyard of houses she stopped at hers and prayed her sister would still be alive.
Don't let me be too late...

Personality: River is kindhearted and sweet. Of the two sisters, she is the more sensitive and emotional one. It could be said that she has enough emotions for the both of them. She is loving and caring to everyone, but cam be extremely shy. Shyness is her main downfall, however she is social when she knows people. Even before the world ended she wasn't very social and more kept to herself. The awkward, bookworm as her sister called her.

She doesn't think that killing first and asking questions layer is the way to go, unlike her sister. River is the complete opposite of her sister when it comes to morals. She also still believes the world can be fixed, but has almost given up on trying. Now she just yearns to get through day after day and survive the longest she can.

@Fubsy, I like it, but I have a question. Is the gang started before or after the war? The setting is only a few years after the war, but the war itself has no set time span, but considering how longs wars have been in history I'm gonna say the war has lasted 10 years. So now it has a set time span. :P

"Easy handsome," Nikolai coughed out, holding his hands up. "I'm not here to cause trouble. Just want its scales. Beautiful dragon scales." he smiled at Leo. "A guy like you, wouldn't you want to decorate yourself with such beautiful rarities? But, can I get off the ground? It's a bit dirty down here." Nikolai winked at him as he asked.

Crim came running over with her bow and quiver. Seralth was perched on her shoulder hissing and growling at the man. "Who is this?" Crim growled herself. She wasn't happy he tried to steal her companion. When she walked over she realized who it was. "Nikolai? What are you doing?! You can't go around stealing dragons!" She began to raise her voice and drew back her bowstring. "Why?" she shouted, something like fire in her eyes. "Leo take his weapons. He wont need them where he's going." Crim added in a growl as Searlth flew over to Leo, whimpering at her master's rage. "No one steals Serath!"

Nikolai stopped as the other elf, the one he had seen with the she-elf, got in his way. "Actually I am..." he began to say then realized the man standing in front of him had no tunic. His figure was more than enough to intrigue Nikolai. "Excuse me handsome, can you tell the sweet little she-elf that I need to borrow her pet. It has a few thing I want. Well, bsides what I'm looking at." Nikolai winked at Leo then stepped around him, carrying on with his kidnapping. "I may come back for you. Too handsome to only see once." he let out a slight chuckle then blew him a kiss and kept walking, holding the blanket entangling Seralth over his shoulder.

@NowIGiveUp There's roughly 4 people not counting myself. One is at work right now otherwise he would be on too. And of course, people are welcome to join in at anytime. There's no rush at all on character sheets or when we start the actual rp.

@NowIGiveUp, It's been a few years, but yeah there will be people that remember the world the way it was before all hell broke loose. Basically almost everyone would remember some things, even if it's the slightest detail... like, blueberry waffles.
