Bio

Long timer roleplayer, been at it for... god, almost 15 years now all told. Hasn't been all sunshine and roses, but I like to think I've improved somewhat steadily as time has gone on.

I generally like to play older characters, or at least toward the higher end of an age range. Also, just about all of my characters are caring and protective in some capacity, even the rare meanie that I make.

I play a mixture of male and female characters. I myself am a guy.

Generally speaking I try to post at least once per week.

Annabeth Stagitta- Lamia Scale

In a burst of power blackened by the devil himself at the hands of another Guild's mage, it was finished. The fallen form of Yunin lay in tatters on the ground, mere shreds of blackness fading into smoke on the ground. And yet, his pride still showed through, proclaiming his superiority over their magic even as he faded away. Anna exhaled through her nostrils in disgust toward the fell being, even as a piece of him- a large eyeball surrounded by blackness- rolled toward her.

"Make what excuses you will. The day is ours nonetheless."

And with that, her foot came crashing down upon the eye to crush it into the ground. Grinding her heel into it as she turned about, she turned about and moved quickly to the side of the still unconscious Jeanne. Though a mage who seemed to specialize in healing and defensive arts was seeing to her, the force of her own magic still threatened to devour her, even after the foe was defeated. It was a fearful facet of her magic of choice, and one Annabeth knew all too well.

"Stand back, if you please. Her condition is a delicate one."

Reaching a hand to the avenger's neck, Anna's fingers fiddled with the silver chain hung about it until she pulled out from under the girl's armor a single, silver locket. A locket that, despite the presence of neither lock nor key, refused to open no matter how Jeanne tried to coax it. Annabeth smiled at it, her face touched by a bit of melancholic nostalgia, before she took it in her hands, closed her eyes, took a breath... and started to sing.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine...
You make me happy when skies are grey..."

As she sung, a rhythmic clicking began to softly, almost imperceptibly join her voice in the same tune. With a little straining, the source of the clicking was easily decipherable- it was coming from the locket.

"You'll never know, dear, how much I love you...
"Please don't take my sunshine away..."

CLICK

As the locket gently opened, a soft light began to spill from its interior, bathing Annabeth in its glow. At the same time, the burns Jeanne had suffered slowly began to recede, as if the power driving them was being coaxed away from her. Once the burns were gone, the light began to spread outward from the locket- but was stopped as Annabeth held her hand over it. With what looked like a reproachful glare, she forced the light to recede once again, back into the locket. As it did so, slowly, she started to sing again.

"The other night dear, as I lay sleeping,
I dreamed I held you in my arms...
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken,
So I hung my head, and I cried."

As she finished the song, the light faded back into the pendant entirely, the locks clicked back into place, and she returned the chain to underneath Jeanne's armor. As the swordswoman began to stir, as if waking from a long sleep, Anna quietly and quickly turned toward the surrounding mages and, with a sharp look to her eyes, gave them each a warning.

"Not a word of this, any of you. To anybody. Especially not Jeanne. Is that clear?"

By then, Jeanne had begun to wake, and Anna found her attention pulled to her once again...
I think I might have Anna ensure Zombieland Rule #2 is followed here in a second, since I'm assuming Sairis is targeting the resident demigod?
I can post here in a bit.
If Yunin is still in fighting capacity by the time it would take Jeanne to recover, there would be a very different kind of problem at hand. lol

<Snipped quote by j8cob>

What problem would that be?

One that won't be happening, because I'll have pulled the ace out of my sleeve long before then.
Revan: Preparing to engage Yunin as well if need be, which he might not need to do given how things are going.

If things proceed how I think they will, he may actually want to stand back xD
Annabeth: Locked in combat with Yunin.
I've posted as well. Someone called for the cavalry?
Annabeth Stagitta- Lamia Scale

Darkness. That was the only term that could encompass what spilled outward into the sky in the distance. It was hardly a tangible thing, yet it pulled at those who witnessed it all the same. It was a surge of malice, a pulsing hatred on the world... and, at the moment, a manifestation of pride. It looked around it and saw no equal, believed nothing could actually harm it.

But that was before the eruption of holy power. The darkness recoiled in its wake, its pride diminishing and its malice fading back. And yet, Annabeth's concern did not waver; if anything, it increased. Not because of the vile aura, but because of the judgement attack. To unleash something like that, even for Jeanne, was a catastrophic risk. And one she was all too familiar with...

Do you not cower in fear? Are you not afraid of death? Do you wish to die?

"Do you?"

All at once, four brilliant white lines streaked through the air as a cluster of magical arrows rained down in front of Yunin's path, following directly behind Hana's slashing salvo. In the wake of the small explosions caused by the Dawnburst arrows, a single figure clad in a white and purple dress descended with an almost gentle grace onto the ground. As the small dust cloud settled, Lamia Scale's Indomitable Sniper rose to her full height, her bow in hand, to stand between the monstrosity known as Yunin and the bruised, battered mages she knew as her family. Her eyes, already flashing silver with the power of her ocular magic, stared at the fell creature without so much as a casual blink. In them was no trace of fear, no sign of hesitation, no modicum of doubt; only a silent ceaseless focus as she measured her target.

Her gaze broke but once, as she turned her head to look back at Jeanne as she lay atop the cloud of petals. She was terribly hurt, her outpouring of energy burning even her own flesh in its ardor. But she would live. She would walk. And she would wield her powers again safely, albeit after a brief period. It was nothing short of a miracle... but Annabeth had accepted miracles before.

"Jeane..." she said quietly as she shook her head, "You should never do such things to yourself."

"However, the punishment here is not yours to bear."

Her eyes snapped back toward Yunin, now ablaze with all the primordial fury wielded by a mother to a hurt child!

"It's for the one who pushed you toward it."

In the skies above what once was the town of Augustine, several hundred twinkling lights began to appear, glowing like stars in the sky. Any who looked upward at them, however, would soon discover that rather than stars, it was a sky full of Annabeth's arrows that now descended at high speeds, shining white missiles plummeting by the score- and locked onto Yunin! As the small storm landed and lashed into the demonic being with sharpened tips and explosive force, three more Dawnburst Arrows materialized in Annabeth's hands, much larger than their raining brethren, and in an instant she had knocked them into her bowstring. Her magically empowered eyes allowed her vision to cut through the chaotic mass of energy to see her target, mark his chest, and loose her shots toward it for an erupting conclusion to the attack!

"This isn't over. Hana, please keep Jeanne safe for me. But keep her nearby. Her life is not yet in danger, and I may need her help."

As she finished speaking, Anna loosed another volley of arrows at Yunin and knocked three more, waiting to see what the evil god would do in response. It didn't matter to her what he was- he had harmed her family, and that was not something she would forgive. Ever.
Don't worry.
*knucklecrack*
Nah, at this point there doesn't seem to be a reason for Anna to even show up, Lamia's basically packing up and leaving. Having her fly in and then exit stage right immediately after would be a waste, so I may as well wait for Renny to update again before I go to work.
