Conablum Labs, Cyano's Universe

@Absolis

"And as you've said, Conablum, you are using psychic suppressant fields which likely originate from similar technologies. Correct?"

The alien's sudden sass contrasted with its lack of emotional content in its tone. Its voice never changed, which could seem unnerving to unprepared individuals. With that said, Cyano proceeded to invoke the lab's capabilities by shooting in the air which in turn signaled it to warp the two entities via one of the teleporters she mentioned earlier. It took longer than the one in the Ethereal's disposal, but it did the job nonetheless which is what counted. They were now in Conablum labs where a couple of staff members were seated but didn't manifest any verbal reaction. It didn't seem to human of them, but the alien couldn't take the humans from the Earth it invaded as reference, after all they could very well have evolved to depraved psychopaths with the only goal to progress and dominate the weak. Speaking of which, the overlord had studied Cyano's behavior since the beginning. Though still uncertain, it detected sociopathic tendencies within her, a form of lack of caring could be sensed from her.

The Etheral could sense the suppressing field limiting the range of its power, but it wasn't completely almighty. The four armed being would release one of those arms from its cloak and swiftly form a mass of concentrated psionic energy, creating a Psi-lance without effort. Manifesting Psionic powers in physical form didn't seem to be affected by the field, however psionic influences did. It would attempt a quick Mindfray on one of the staff members, something harmless, but it would fail. Psi-Panic however would succeed, albeit with more effort than necessary. The one running the teleporter would feel somewhat dizzy before falling over having lost their balance.

"This field is indeed powerful. Though still limited in regards to the 'Gift'. Shall we swiftly explore the core of your establishment before we decide whether it would be an asset to us or not?"

The Ethereal leader would float toward the panel previously manned by the now disoriented scientist, gathering data in its computer-like mind as it studied the hardware in sync. Although a lot had changed, it resembled a lot like older human technology at their core. Evidently far more evolved of course. It recognized the basis and figured out why this woman was confident that her labs were to be considered prestigious by even intergalactic entities. Of course, it would have see more before making a sensible conclusion. Would Cyano actually be of value to the Dark Outliners despite what they've already amassed? The Ethereal Army was a great way to have rapid infantry, efficient data gathering and overall technological options. But the core military muscle and established influence were already there. It would only be if Conablum labs made themselves particularly unique that the Ethereal's speech would change in regards to the owner.
@LilithJoestar Anyone is welcome to join and no reserve, you drop a sheet and Homura will approve if good.

Cyano's Universe

Cyano's explanation made sense, for a futuristic world it did adhere to the vision many humans had of it in other timelines. Though as much as she boasted about their instant teleporter, there wasn't one to be seen as they kept going at a snail pace with traditional walking. The alien would come to notice the strange contrast with the stone wall surrounding the technologically advanced city. A bizarre detail it would love to gather information on, but there were more pressing matters. It saved that piece of data to either have explained by Cyano or have it investigated by its own teams. The Old Manor wasn't too much of a bother to it, there was bound to be something that a human would remain attached to, something from the past they could pride themselves over. It was too conspicuous to be some kind of hideout, so it could only guess that.

The subject of the nanomites came up, the idea that it could be painful to the Ethereal that it could not mess around with the woman's mind. It took a couple of seconds to contemplate the various encounters it had with psychic-resistant foes. They were rather annoying, and it didn't help that their Neural Feedback ability was also nullified since they've entered the Multiverse, though they're quickly finding alternatives to gain it back.

"We are beyond the need to feel physical or mental pain. Perhaps you were wondering if it was a bother. Somewhat. It leaves us at a disadvantage but we can eventually understand your technology and counteract."

It explained as monotone as ever, but just as it finished it would receive word from its telepathic link that something was going on in Arcadia. Bambietta was left there with Sam to establish a concealed base in the very shadows of the world, literally the shadows, so they were concerned by this obviously. But what as most troubling was that Arcadia was a hotspot for the Dark Outliners' operations as it held the mighty Terminals while serving as a link of the Multiverse. Arcadia-2 was already something being considered by a few other agents of the Outliners.

"It appears an individual named Nova has claimed Arcadia for themselves. The energy levels emitted by this voice are a match to the energy detected when an entity annihilated an entire mock fleet in a matter of seconds. Conablum, we must hasten this visit as it seems we've encountered an anticipated obstacle in this Multiverse."

The Alien overlord informed the woman as it stopped in its tracks for a moment. Things were not going well, but as it said, they expected something like this to occur shortly. However, unlike the blokes that claim to want to conquer everything, this one actually had a potential to back up such a claim. The Ethereal was both excited and worried, excited because it would force their plans to enter into motion much earlier than initially established, but worried that their mysterious leader would have to expose themselves so early in the scene.

"Conablum. Why enter this world of endless possibilities known as the Multiverse? You appear to be conscious of your arrival in Arcadia, unlike most specimens."
@Punished Homura Got chars traveling to another universe already, twice. I think some people need to be booted into a terminal.
I would post but I don't want to flood the IC. Everything seems to have slowed down.
Kolon can suck the Ethereal's Colon thank you very much .w.

Still GG ;D

Cyano's Universe, Approaching Conablum Labs

@Absolis

Upon warping to the new world, the Ethereal would immediately mark it with some of its Psionic powers to make sure they wouldn't lose track of it for some reason. The city seemed rather normal, despite the obvious differences in technology from the Earth the Ethereals had invaded in the past. It gathered knowledge upon simply glancing at what surrounded it, but what it could see in the public was likely not representative of what Cyano had in store for the alien overlord. Unmoved by how conspicuous it was to the residents of this futuristic city, the leading Ethereal was all too used of being the alien in foreign worlds, enough to know that the locals would likely shrug off such a singular experience they could barely understand. Cyano offered a cover up which it had no interest in maintaining.

"There is no true consequence to the population knowing the truth. They will most likely shrug it off as a joke, or otherwise won't be believed by relatives. Even with video evidence there will always be one individual to denounce false footage and the chain reaction goes on."

It deduced, realizing that despite how advanced this place was, they were still humans working to keep another version of Earth alive. The population was most likely not too aware of anything paranormal, as such basic psychology and sociology could apply here. It was strange that they had to use normal means of mobility to reach a destination when any sane person would consider getting in some transport of some sort. Though it wasn't really the Ethereal's position to judge, last time it came to Earth it annihilated structures and caused populace panic just to have a few meager military groups to surrender.

"Perhaps you could brief us on your technology that enables such resistance to 'The Gift'. All of the Ethereal Ones in the ship have sensed it and were preoccupied of your capabilities regarding it. We do have our theories, but intellectual transparency appears to be something we have agreed on, Conablum. You've also showed us the way to your world, a world we could annihilate in a few moments. There surely isn't any barriers in this joint venture we are agreeing to."
Oi @Hamstrong, since Agent has been absent for a little while, if you're lacking any ideas, you could always find @GreenGoat and their char in Bern. After all you're like the only ones left there. Don't want y'all getting bored or something.
@Punished Homura So are we going to have a plot or ... ?
