Once they reached the selected floor, the Ethereal was greeted with a peculiar sight. Scientists playing what humans called 'bondage' in the middle of their duties. The lack of productivity in the Conablum method became more and more cringe worthy for the alien. But as the scene unfolded itself, it was revealed that another psychotic individual had done this in the first place for irrational reasons. For a top scientist, Cyano sure had a thing for surrounding herself with borderline insanity. Then again, the leader of the Ethereals was the one doing the field trips instead of some brainy lackey. But that was mostly because of its position in the organization, only the Über Ethereal was trusted to negotiate and study other worlds in order to integrate new assets, at least among its armada. Many other executive members had that power such as Bambietta, but they all had their specialized fields. The Ethereal was more interested in the surplus of technology they could bring and tactical advantages that would be gained.

With their bickering, the overlord was almost just a prop in this theater scene, standing in the background as they more or less socialized like cartoon characters. The alien took this opportunity to have a look at what it was looking for: Their Technology. As expected, they were well advanced and close to breaking through Multiversial travel. They simply lacked the power of the Terminals that would grant them access to Arcadia. Without these objects, the Ethereal could only guess they'd simply warp in alternative universes without actually leaving the parameters of this world. More like a parallel world rather than an entirely different universe. But that was just its theory. When analyzing as much as possible, it saw enough potential to make a conclusion.

"Indeed ... From a simple glance but also in-depth trait analysis, you two are 99.87% likely to be siblings. Or at least one of you was designed at the image of another if that is the method of this universe. It is typical of human siblings to bicker as much as this, it would be interesting to see your methods of operating in a team."

The Ethereal turned to face the two, the towering creature approached them with no distinguishable motion that would indicate its intentions. With a pause of about five seconds, it spoke up once more.

"Conablum. You have captured our interest, and as such we shall establish Conablum Labs as a member of the Dark Outliners. The Envisioning One will meet with you in due time. With that completed, we must return to Arcadia at once. We can use this prototype as long as the Terminal linked to this mask recognizes this universe. We will confer a specialized research squad to your Labs in order to proceed in our venture. Now, we depart."

The being said solemnly as it approached the machine Cyano's company had been working on. Despite the chaos happening in the Multiverse, this universe that served as an afterlife ran in its massive mind. The research team it would send would probably attempt to figure out a way to exploit this and apply it in a military level. Maybe not to actually revive individuals but trap immortal beings in such worlds permanently for instance by manipulating their grasp. It now awaited for the siblings to get the machinery ready so they could warp back to Bern and maybe scare Sam and his new friend to death.

@Punished Homura By the way, I recommend appointing a Co-GM you'd trust at least to get some approvals done when you're too busy. Never hurts to have official help in such a big setting.

A sociopath indeed, disposing of a productive staff member for a minor fault was exaggerated to the Ethereal, though it remained unmoved. It wasn't too pleased by the fact that with such advancements, they still used loose cannons bound by 'free will'. The key differences were already evident, the Ethereals had for a long time noticed better performances when work forces were simply manufactured when performing such insignificant tasks as well as making them completely interchangeable without any emotions put into play. In spite of this, there weren't any red flags concerning the labs, but the alien clearly noticed that she was strongly unfeeling for a human and that usually led to rather bad things when they'd be put in positions of power. It would have to study her a bit more before cornering her personality fully.

It's attention would be quickly captured, however, when the strange anomaly concerning this universe was revealed. Unlike most human worlds, this one actually had access to a form of 'Afterlife', and could easily come back if they were to find a way to return to where they came from. This went being technology and knowledge, this was something else that the leader would most definitely like to know about.

"As unproductive this staff presents itself, this world you enter once stripped of your life, how does it function? Or perhaps do you know where it originates from? Clearly this could hold answers regarding our current endeavors."

The alien followed the woman as they entered the lobby. It seemed plain compared to the machines it had witnessed, but it was where they would have the public eyes geared towards. Like many of these human races they had encountered, those at the top often hid away information from the populace. An understandable gesture given how humans behaved when influenced by crowds but often led to a slowdown in progress. Evidently, they found ways to bypass these obstacles in this universe.

Now in the elevator, an awkward silence occurred as other staff members entered the medium and all stared at the Ethereal. Many didn't speak up as it was demonstrated before, they feared Cyano. But their curiosity would prevent peering eyes from scrutinizing the being, they would probably think it was a special Android model as she instructed the Ethereal previously. That or they already knew of the ugly things that could leak out of the Multiverse by this point. Without any care whether its echoing voice would disturb and raise suspicion from the staff, it would speak up.

"Multiple readings in Arcadia indicate more powerful beings emerging, as well as some clashing with the Bestial One. We have also detected unique Terminal activity, one that distinguishes itself greatly from the others. We must not waste anymore time, Conablum."
