Ki: Monks make careful study of a magical energy that most monastic traditions call ki. This energy is an element of the magic that suffuses the multiverse—specifically, the element that flows through living bodies. Monks harness this power within themselves to create magical effects and exceed their bodies’ physical capabilities, and some of their special attacks can hinder the flow of ki in their opponents. Using this energy, monks channel uncanny speed and strength into their unarmed strikes. As they gain experience, their martial training and their mastery of ki gives them more power over their bodies and the bodies of their foes.

Currently, Morgan is capable of manipulating ki to enhance his reflexes to help avoid danger (Patient Defense), increase the number of blows he can deliver within a small span of time (Flurry of Blows), and increase his overall agility and mobility (Step of the Wind).

An old walking stick that has served Morgan for a great number of years. The ornate handle is its most defining feature.

Leather Bound Notebook.

A unique notebook used by Morgan to take down notes of his adventure as well as other things he finds interesting. The pages contained within seem endless and is highly resistant to the elements.

Traveler's Leather Knapsack

Appearance

Morgan's durable backpack containing a number of essential items to the Adventurer. The items contained within are: His smoking pipe, A tin of tobacco, A tinder box, Spare Clothes, A small bottle of rum, A small switch blade, and Numerous quills and inkwells.

Motivation

Morgan Sterling Whitaker is an author and adventurer hailing from the distant kingdom of Freida. Well known in his kingdom for his novels, where he brings the excitement of the adventure to his readers without risking any harm to them. All the books he had written in his entire career had been based on his own adventures and exploits throughout the land.
Seeking inspiration, or more accurately, another adventure for his books. The gentleman adventurer set off to distant shores seeking a tale worthy of telling. Though it seems that this time around, the tale found him first.
