So what's the world actually like? You mentioned a blend of science and magic - what kind of technology is present? Is the aesthetic comparable to present-day, futuristic, or something more historical?

Well, there is vehicular travel with hover cars, as well as television comparable to that of the modern age; so propulsion based technology, as well as Tesla-based inventions that have been modernized. The world is a bit of an amalgamation between modern day and the feudal era, with the cities appearing more like Paris, Tokyo and Kyoto, New York, London, and so on and villages appearing more traditional and conservative as though they did not want to fully transition with the times. Though there are televisions and such, there are also magic globes that are quite common that can also display the news to the more traditional villages. So, it's kinda like that. Imagine this world as the Earth that went with Tesla's magnificently insane ideas instead of Edison's, combined with magic.

Does this answer your question?
Awesome. Just a few more supporters and this may be a thing.

Please, ask any questions!
REGENESIS is an RP that takes place in an original world, where science and magic co-exist. It is entirely sandbox, with the players themselves running a series of stories and scenarios. It is an RP that relies on improv, giving it a more organic feel rather than simply being guided by linear story. With the help of players, the world can expand and provide more substance and an enlightening experience to others. As GM, it would be my job to ensure the rules are obeyed and enforced, as well as provide a story arc from time-to-time while I, too, can enjoy the unique stories of other players without fear of taking the lime light for "World Altering" events (in which I provide when I feel other players are ready for such things). I also provide events when needed (excluding myself from the "protagonist" roles of such events).

Ultimately, this RP is meant to build upon the failure of my previous RP ("The Blue Moon Tavern"), which was to provide a living RP that would ensnare RPers without the fear of railroading or relying on the GM for updates. In this sense, REGENESIS is purely a new beginning born from the carcass that was "The Blue Moon Tavern."

The RP provides interesting mechanics, such as the Hero/Villain mechanic that prohibits players with more than ONE character to have BOTH characters interact in the same space, allowing other players to partake in the story arc without fear of being overshadowed by the "primary" player's "hero" or "villain." There is also the Minion mechanic, where the "Villainous" character can have control of weak mobs (villainous NPCs). There are also more mechanics that may be introduced, and players are always welcome to speak to me, the GM, about adding newer and more interesting mechanics to keep the RP rolling.

Nevertheless, this RP is merely an ideal, maybe even an abstraction.

Any thoughts? Questions? Feel free to ask. If I have enough supporters, I'll create the RP within a week. Sooner if the demand is high.

(P.S. This RP is also Low-Advanced and Slice of Life)
Kresnik stared incredulously at Cia, unsure as to how to decline her request for him to help sell her crop. Never before did the dhampir enter the world of merchants, nor did he have the patience to act the fool and shout unnecessarily about sales and deals. He felt flustered, his alabaster face growing pink with embarrassment at the very thought. Before he could say anything, Cia ran off to the man selling his fine liquors, with her promising him some brandy.

He enjoyed brandy.

With a sigh of resignation, he closed the distance between himself and the cart and grabbed a head of lettuce and a beet. Swallowing his pride, he began to juggle the lettuce and beet, using his reflexes to his advantage, his warrior discipline to keep a rhythm, and his years of training for precise dexterity to never falter. After getting a rhythm down, he continued to toss the lettuce and beet in high arcs as he grabbed another beet and to add to the juggle. "Come one, come all!" He shouted, his face still stern and his eyes alight with an inner flame of determination. "I have beets and lettuce for sale!" Kresnik felt like an utter fool, but he was willing to put up with the idiocy in order to get some brandy and some extra food for his private stores. "For a modest sum, I'll throw in a recipe for Korvani Beet Stew!"
@Cuccoruler

Kresnik glanced at Cia as she appeared, his violet eyes now guarded with suspicion. Her innocent smile gnawed at him, the feeling dwelling within his chest vexing him. However, the dhampir shoved it all aside, keeping his expression stoic and stern. Despite his aloof demeanor, he did appreciate the sight of her and even enjoyed her presence, dressed or not. Nevertheless, he did not appreciate such thoughts or feelings, and discarded them without a second thought. Korvania taught him that such emotions were a weakness for a warrior; Tanjozo taught him detachment in the pursuit of healing. It didn't take Cia long to intercept his path to fully garner his attention, though.

"If you ever need any veggies let me know, I have plenty of lettuce and beets as of late, I'm sure you could find a use for it."

It took Kresnik a moment to see her generous offer. Though the village was rife with business, the Sunrise Clinic rarely received much attention aside from a few medicines here and there, and very rarely medical attention that didn't involve a scrape or shallow cut. His funds were low and his food mainly came in donations from those unable to afford his medicines and practice. Even his stores of medicine were slipping below a comfortable number. He often toyed with the idea of becoming a part-time Sentinel in order to continue making medications and even keep his food stores high. The dhampir discarded the idea as often as it came, reminding himself constantly that he wanted peace and that he did not want to engage in any more combat or needless wandering.

"I appreciate your offer," Kresnik began, his rich baritone losing some of its usual frigidity. "If I ever get any in-patients, I'm sure I could make a soup from my homeland that could improve their health." The doctor looked around, then sighed. "Would you like some help with your wares? It appears I will not be needed today."
I think two days starting from tomorrow is fair, yes?

Sounds fair.
Thank you. I posted and I hope it is adequate enough ^^
Kresnik leaned back in his chair, gently rocking himself with one leg that pressed against his oak desk while the other leg was crossed beneath it. His violet eyes were half-closed, boredom written upon his beautiful face. Kresnik did not know what to do, for he spent the majority of his time living in his clinic, a hermit awaiting the needs of the hurt and wounded. Propped against the desk was his sword, a physical manifestation of his previous life. It was an oddity for him, a self-proclaimed doctor, to be wielding such a weapon; yet his entire existence revolved around him wearing it at his side, despite that life being long and far behind him. It was awkward to not have its weight on him at all times, and awkward still to not possess such a fine and unique weapon in his presence.

A life of eternal danger and death... a life he wished dearly to never miss.

"Peace..." the dhampir lamented, alone within his homestead. "An uneasy transition for one such as myself." Kresnik knew himself to be a warrior, to put his very life at stake for the sake of those around him. No... for the thrill, the excitement, the undeniable power over life and death; even undeath could not escape his shadow, he knew, for he was death's true harbinger. The change and transition from his previous life to this new existence was unsettling and unusual. Korvania, his homeland and keepsake, fell into darkness. The citizens cower in their homes and forsake their freedoms to those more powerful; the powerful crushing the hopes and dreams of individuality for the sake of power itself. Vampires, papists, and the monsters that lurked in the dreams and nightmares of the Korvani people warred for what seemed to be aeons, struggling for control. That was not a life Kresnik could endure any longer.

After a moment of being lost in contemplation, Kresnik took notice of the rumbling of the ground and cacophony of mooing. With a sigh, he strapped his sword to his right hip and began his way outside. Upon opening the door, he took notice that the entire situation was handled rather quickly, with one woman-- Cia, was it?-- moving away, quite nude, from a young farm boy. Kresnik shook his head, running a hand through his thick white mane. "I was hoping someone would be hurt," he stated cynically, a dark jest at his own expense. The village doctor walked around to ensure nobody was hurt, his right hand resting comfortable upon the hilt of his sword; a habit from the days of old.
I'll make a post later...

Also, hello, everyone. It will be a pleasure to RP with all of you.
Name: Kresnik Drakonov

Age: 24

Sex: Male

Race: Dhampir (Vampire/Human hybrid)

Appearance: Tall, lithe, and beautiful; Kresnik appears as a youth who was sculpted from marbles with the intricate hands of angels, with eyes of the richest violet. His hair is long and snow white; his skin a smooth alabaster. He has high cheekbones, slanted eyes, and a strong jawline. His muscles are quite defined despite his slender appearance. He wears brown leather breeches, knee-high boots, and a white button shirt.

Occupation: Village doctor/witch doctor

Skills: Swordplay; extensive knowledge of folklore and magic; alchemy for medical applications (such as creating blood substitutes and countering poisons and toxins), as well basic medical knowledge (first-aid).

Powers: Sangromancy and minor blood manipulation (his own blood and free-flowing blood can be manipulated into constructing any desirable objects). He is particularly powerful with wards and has some measure of talent with hypnotism. His blood is also unique in that it is capable of healing fatal wounds in others, if consumed, without the risk of the patient contracting vampirism, as well as extending the victim's life-expectancy by a small sum. Aside from this, he simply has enhanced reflexes and an enhanced sense of hearing and smell. He can also increase his strength and speed with the drinking of blood.

Inventory: A silver longsword with a rose carved into the base of the blade. In his private room at the Clinic, he has a trunk with his previous attire from his days in Korvania: a black leather long coat with silver plates at the shoulders, knee-high leather boots with silver plating, leather breeches with a leather skirt, a single silver claw gauntlet (right hand) that reaches the elbow, and a single studded leather bracer that reaches the knuckles and bound around the middle finger by a slender leather thong (left hand).

History: Kresnik is an outsider from a country far up north of Tanjozo called Korvania, hailing from the capitol city of Mitternacht. He remembers much of his childhood, with great detail and pain. Formerly a Night Hunter--a unique warrior whose quarry were those of the supernatural--Kresnik forsook his old life in lieu for peace rather than being dragged into countless civil wars brought about by the Church and the Aristocracy. He arrived in Tanjozo 3 years ago and bought a clinic with his remaining funds as to contribute to the village's peaceful lifestyle.

Point of Interest: Sunrise Clinic- After arriving in Tanjozo, Kresnik bought an abandoned two-story house and converted it into a clinic after months of repairs and stocking supplies for potions and antidotes, as well as furnishing the place to appear somewhat hospitable (ironically, the entire clinic appears dismal and gloomy).
