Ajax stopped singing, a grin on his face. It has been a long time since he had sung such a beautiful song like Pokarekare Ana. His grandmother was Maori so he knew some of the language. It was certainly guttural but there was a.... flowing feel to it. Especially in song. The Maori language was like any other language. But it had a special place in Ajax's heart. He was always conscious of his Mana and to never lose his honour. That didn't stop him from trying to sometimes sound like a total loony. He smirked a bit.

"What are you singing?" Ajax turned to face the new speaker. "Oh shit" Ajax thought. Maybe he did sing a little too loud. He looked past the girl and looked around the room and he was the centre of attention. The Kiwi quickly turned to the girl, ignoring the eyes boring into his body. He was to speak before he was interrupted. Some other girl next to him answered the question before him. He turned towards the new girl.

"Yeah nah, I am a New Zealander but I have some French blood in me. I've only been here for a few months as you can tell from my thick accent. And no, I'm not a hobbit, but yes, I do love Lord of The Rings. And yes, I use the word bloody as much as the Aussies. It sucks actually, a bloody ranga named Simon went up to me said that I'm a bloody bogan. I knocked him out of his stubble. I was knackered after it but it was worth it." Ajax paused, realising that she probably didn't understand. "Uh, sorry about that, I talk about the old times a lot." He scratched the back of his head.

Ajax looked at the teachers back with a death glare and clenched his fists. "Fuck my life" he muttered under his breath. "Rainbows and ponies Ajax, rainbows and ponies." Ajax turned as he saw a boy talk to him with an excited blabber. A petition or something, Ajax didn't particularly care but he signed it anyway. 'A day into this bloody school and I'm already in trouble.'He felt a glare stare into him. He turned around to look at a girl, a bit younger than him it seemed. She had long flowing hair and warm eyes. He quickly turned from Layla, red faced, and began munching on a piece of bread he conveniently found on his plate. 'Smooth Ajax. Smooth'.

Next Day

"Oh I am starting to hate this bloody school." He arrived in front of the dungeon, panting from walking through so many corridors and going down so many stairs.Defence Against the Dark Arts. What a snobby name. Sounds like what a Ponsnobby kid would yap about. The Kiwi snorted at that thought. Tryhards, the lot of em. Ajax looked into the pitch black room, tugging at his robes.

He shuffled through the doorway and walked into the room. Taking a seat down on a desk, he sat down. He started singing in a low tune, a Maori song he learned from his father. Pokare Kare Ana. A love song made by the Maori of Old. God he loved this song.

What Ajax did not realise however is that he sang loud enough for the whole room to hear.
