Well, my first class got cancelled, so I'm online. Thank God for libraries.

There will be super weapons here, bahaha. Two civilizations were placed with only one system in between them, very interesting.

Well, there's bound to be some peaceful relations between them! Right? ...Right?

Also, would you folks tell me which of these paragraphs is easier for you to read and gives you a better sense of "robutz"?

I'm tempted to color-code dialogue that isn't actually spoken aloud for the Preservers, or otherwise find a way to distinguish it from other dialogue. I specifically did NOT use quotation marks because there isn't actual speech happening: it's all a broadcast traveling through what would be the Preserver equivalent of telepathy. Y'know, telepathy for computers.

...Yeah.

Anyway, just italics makes it a little hard to read. I'm thinking of trying either

• A soft green or purple color, or,
• Something that looks like: ||This is what Preservers talking is formatted as,|| said the very helpful #Preserver. ||Blah blah blah.||

Does anyone have an opinion here?

EDIT: Also, I suppose you could call this post a "Good morning!" post. Good morning. Waking up at 5:30 stinks like serious dog dookie.

No way, man. I had a game where I wiped out multiple Emperor (or was it Deity?) AI before the stone age was over.

And in the game vs. Egypt, I wiped out the other player with swarms of barbarians and archers while he was still working on his first spearman.

Trust me: Songhai is a powerhouse at the start of the game. It makes money every time it clears out a barbarian camp or sweeps through a city. If you're on the same continent as anyone, it's hilarious fun to rush 'em with troops you bought from barbarian camp money.

@Theodorable Out of curiosity, should we expect events not caused by the players (such as anomalies floating through space or independent species) to impact us during the course of the roleplay?

(That's generally how I play Civ, mind my own business until a city-state takes out a hit on other city-state or someone doesn't like me, once relations break down I attack whoever I don't get along with and nuke ruthlessly.)
