|In Depth Appearance|

Asian and of Japanese descent, it is not entirely unexpected that Malcolm is well-below average height at 5'5". He is stick-thin and without an inch of muscle or fat anywhere on him, but still built a bit disproportionately as his most recent growth spurt was only six months ago. Malcolm has soft, effeminate features and sharp black eyes hidden behind large, Gok Wan glasses. He is undeniably attractive and seems to be on track for looking even better in a few years time. His most prominent characteristics are his hands and their long, spidery fingers – "all the better to tweet you with", as he would say.

|Clothing Style|

Malcolm brings a lot of clothes with him, and this year is no exception. It's plain Converse – for enforced physical activities – and boat shoes otherwise. Since wearing waistcoats in the summer's not exactly the best idea, he's only brought one with him. Typically he'll wear shirts with rolled up sleeves or vest tops with his favourite pair of tan chinos.

Malcolm's ears are pierced both in the conventional place and an industrial piercing on the upper cartilage. He did have an eyebrow piercing which has since been taken out and scarred over, leaving a neat line to separate his eyebrow in two.

Malcolm likes to think of himself as the life and soul of the party – sort of. He makes the most jokes (and if people don't get them, well, they're not smart enough); he has the most Facebook friends; and, of course, if he's not the loudest in a group he'll damn well try to be. He's a romantic at heart but romance in his mind has nothing to do with outrageously flirting with friends and almost-friends.

Even so, his jokes often tend on the sarcastic and biting, especially when they're related to other people. Further, Malcolm can nurse a grudge for years and is more than petty when it comes to those who've wronged him in the past. Snubbing is a thing he is very, very good at setting up.

|History|

Malcolm is a stereotypical rich kid. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, his father a businessman and his mother a model-turned-journalist in her early thirties. Both are extravagant but sensible people, which makes it obvious where Mal gets his flair for the dramatic and expensive tastes from. Attending a private boarding school for most of his time and moping in his room for the summers was how he spent the first fourteen years of his life, until his parents decided enough was enough and suggested that he attend a summer camp.

Reluctantly, Malcolm did so. And hated it. Which was too bad – he was going, and would be forced to go until he was no longer under his parents' roof. Still, as a reward for good behaviour (not that he doesn't get anything he wants bought), he's getting an apartment out of it in the end... And maybe a small bit of him loves the camp.
