I wanted to reply to the survey on my phone, but ended up accidentally tapping 'Send feedback' before i could type anything. My response would have been (and still is 'Autosave'). :)

Also, loving the Arena stats! Makes me want go go into dueling again just to score some points! Though its strange in that I can see it fine in the public threads, but it doesn't appear on PMs? Same goes for Title, Post Count and the Bio plus Status buttons. Is it something planned for later?

A habit of mine is to not increment my do whiles. Crash, make changes, run, infinite loop. Repeat.

I'm not a Unix person (I just code), but I do love recursion with GNU's Not Unix. It's the most novel acronym I've come across.

Anyhoo, I'm curious. Any COBOLs or FORTRANs here? I heard they're a rare bunch these days. But I wonder, what was the programming world like before COBOL? Was it punched cards?

Ah, so I got the tail end - got it. I live in Australia where my timezone is usually inverted, so just though it was a strange time for a DDOS. It all makes sense now.

Also, a wild Programmin' thread appears. :)

Currently I have a few 'mainstream ones' as I like to call them. Java - if I'm feeling crafty, as well as JSP, but if I want something portable and powerful - Excel and it's ASP. It's readily avaiable and it's front end is easy to implement. Well, at least for certain projects. Given the right implementation, Excel can do wonders.

I could never truly understand Java GUI programming however. Listeners? Window_in, Window_out? Stuff it.

I've dabbled in a few languages here and there. Yes, even Python, C and assembly, but for these, I never really got to the point of appreciating them. PHP and cgi dot the mind here and there, but I remember next to nothing about those.

VRML, if it could be classified as a border line programming language, is one of the funner things I played with. Nothing beats the feeling of having coded a 3D house complete with an active TV, interactive furniture and lighting effects. With lots of borrowed code of course - so the credit goes to the 3D modelers. It was very fun nonetheless, and I would have gone into game design if I was better at maths.

Fun fact: I thought the capitalisation of my name was an allusion to my coding background until I noticed that everyone else was doing it. But I count from zero, if that counts. :P Tempted to put "I count from zero" in my sig so that coders like us can recognise each other. It'll be like a secret handshake~!
