@FalloutJack Sure, but that doesn't mean we can't have one scene in that ship once in a while.

@CAS1006 Didn't think of that... it's on me.

I just wanted to get things moving. You guys are a party killer to be sure. ._.
Yeah, but as I said we can decide that later when we are not in front of an empty observation cell. And, furthermore, Amber's logic (and mine xD) is that it's way more efficient to keep the discussions for when we'll be moving through space and unable to do pretty much anything else than wait. :P
My attempt at getting things moving along faster while not trying to take too much for granted. :l
Amber maintained eyes contact with Zen for a few seconds after he addressed her, but not in a threatening way; she was only trying to sort out how she should perceive it after what he just said. For now, however, he was clearly on their side and she could only hope it would stay like this for the duration of this mission.

'Despite this whole thing, nice to meet you Ms. Vale.' Amber said in answer to Katherine introduction. Which was not a bad idea. 'I'm Amber Haus, Federation Special Forces.'

It was nice and everything to properly meet and exchanges greetings, information and what not after arguing for a good while on multiple subjects, but they needed to get going if they wanted to fulfill anything at all. The front of an observation room was not exactly the proper place for discussions either.

'I agree we have things to talk about before we enter any hostile environment, but is this the right place for this? It would be a lot more logical to discuss things while we are on the move as to not waste any time. On that subject, I'm guessing most of us - she briefly looked over at Zen - have things they need to gather and get ready before leaving. I suggest we do this now and regroup in exactly one hour at this base landing docks'

'I am guessing that most of you have your own ships and what not, but I strongly suggest that we use the same ship as to stray grouped and communicate better while on the move. The federation probably have one prepared for us. Otherwise, the Federation gave me my own private ship when I joined Spec. Forces. If you don't trust me, any ships would do just fine as long as you let me install my research center in it.'

'I hope we are all in agreement?' she said as she got out her data pad again and began typing on a few things and walkign towards the door. Right as she was about to disappear she added, louder; 'One Hour!' and headed to her personal quarters to gather all of the things she would need.
From what I saw so far, Cassius looks like a good choice. I guess our characters will eventually get into this discussion, though.
@CAS1006
That's...actually true, hahaha. I'll probably write a post tonight.
I just went through the IC again, and I guess I could post about answering to Cassius, Vale and David and possibly propose to move since Garret left. It feels as if we've been left with a mission and on our own schedule?

Or, Kaze could answer first since you posted right before me. Preference?
Are you gonna recruit new players or keep it as it is for now?

Wandering in the Snow

''There you are.'' said a man as he handed over some money to a girl.

''Thank you!''

Yui bowed in thanks, pocketed the money and then handed out one beautiful white rose to the man. She kept on looking with a smile as the man ran back to his beloved's side to hand her the flower. The woman looked thrilled.

Happiness, like flowers, could fade quite fast. However moments like she just witnessed were what made it all worth it. She kept on wandering aimlessly through Miso's streets, selling some flowers to whomever wanted them. Sitting down on a bench in a park to observe the falling snow and rest. The cold was not biting at her skin, and tonight was a perfect night for such 'adventures'. However...something was strange. It was faint, but something was in the back of her mind; a constant feeling that she did not understand. Something akin to feeling observed, but not quite as negative or scary as that.

Yui did her best to shake off this feeling, not realizing that she was not wandering so aimlessly after all. She had received her Magical Girls power recently, only a few months ago. She had grown accustomed to her powers and to defeating some - albeit weak so far - nightmares. Never had she met another Magical Girl in all of this time though, and she did not recognize this magical feeling that was supposed to indicate the presence of one. Unknowingly, she walked straight towards the source.

Her not-so-quite-wandering soon brought her inside the Old City, a beautiful part of Miso she wished she could visit more often. Lost in her thought and guided by this feeling she did not recognize, Yui took an alleyway and stopped only when she heard something that no one else could. She turned around.

The sole lamp post in the alleyway cast her shadow on the wall, but it was distorted. It kept on twisting and warping until it formed a rounded shape. Out of it came an arm first, it's extremity more claws than hands. The sound of moving shadows as it came out reminded that of shoving chunk of fleshy substances around. A second arm came out, then a head. Emotionless, yet full of rage.

A lone Nightmare?

A lost Fight

Gaia had a knee on the ground and an expression of pain on her face. The Nightmare, while possibly wounded, still stood. Or hanged. Legless, it was perched on the wall of the alleyway thanks to it's two massively long arms. It's head was twisted in an unnerving way staring down at it's opponents as it let out yet another chilling scream only she, and other Magical Girls, could hear. Even then, it's face bore no emotion nor expression. Petals of flowers were scattered about, a result of Gaia's magic.

Still with a knee on the ground, the Magical Girl stared down her foe as she brought both hands together. Light emanated from her palms and a flower-shaped ball of energy formed. Although it was small it was all she could muster right now. She did not know if this Nightmare was stronger than most, but it was stronger than the ones she fought so far, and she was taken off guard.

'Come on, then...' If this was it, she'd bring this thing down with her...
Traitor.
