It’s been decades since the first Quirks appeared. Since then, just about 80% of world's population have some sort of superhuman ability. All over the globe, society has changed, and those changes required many adjustments. Many academies for heroes in training have thus appeared all over the globe such as, of course, U.A.’s Academy for Heroes in Japan.

Lately it’s come to enjoy even more spotlight due to the coming of All Might working as a teacher there. But less known to the people of Japan was U.A.’s prototype predecessor, one that All Might had created during his time in America. It was thus deemed U.J. Academy of San Francisco. Less than capable at any form of administration, the number one hero left U.J. to chosen personal before leaving the country. It may be an off-shoot compared to some other schools, but U.J grew to become one of the top hero schools of the nation. After all, who wouldn’t want to be part of the Number One Hero's own school and have a chance to aim for the very top?

Introduction

Moving away from Japan, this RP will take place in the Academy of U.J. situated in a futuristic San Francisco, which was opened by none other than All Might himself before he left for Japan. This story will take place at about the beginning of the events of MHA, but said events will be mentioned only little to never.

This will mostly be an Academy Roleplay with focus on a progressive story that happens parallel to canon events. Players will be able to create young heroes that entered U.J and are on the path to master their Quirk and become Pro-Heroes - while others will incarnate as villains on a quest of their own which will bring them toe to toe with Heroes.

Setting

Heroes:
Players who choose to be on the path to becoming a Pro-Hero will attend U.J and be assigned a Home Room Teacher. While training to master their Quirks and learning the ropes, they'll be thrown or caught in events that will require them to surpass themselves to live and overcome them. Only with the necessary will to march ever forward and learn can one become a Pro-Hero!

Villains:
Players who choose to be on the path of villainy will belong to a small branch of the League of Villains situated in San Francisco. Their main purpose is the destruction of all things All Might. This includes, and for now is the main focus, the destruction of U.J by one way or another. They'll be working under a leader who receives orders from the secretive main head of the League. These character roles will be limited, depending on the number of heroes we have.

"A Shame? Not at all, not at all!" she said, laughing happily as she grabbed her Ale. "Opportunities. That's what it is!"

As she spoke, she began writing; fast and greedily, if such a term applied. The motion of inking the pen and the movement on the paper was like a flawless dance. Soon enough, one latter was done, then two. The written content was small, but it seemed like the pink haired lady was intent on writing a good numbers of them.

"It's never too early for ale - it's good for concentration." she also said, waving her hand as it she was waving the opinion aside. Then, suddenly, as if she realized just now she was speaking to someone, she raised her head and looked at the Inn Keeper. "Oh! Hi! My name is Hina, I'm kind of new in town. I'm a traveling merchant. Nice to meet you."

She extended her hand to James, which hit the Ale and sent the glass flying. Hina managed to lean forward to catch it with her other hand, kicking her enormous bag of belongings on the side...which the managed to keep from falling using her foot. Once everything was back into place, she sat back down with a sigh of relief.

"Do you have any form of mail delivery...birds, perhaps?" She asked the old man. But before she could continue speaking with her bar tender, another man came forward, not failing to note her clumsiness and - literally - 'loud' personality. Hina brought a hand to the back of her head; "Eheh...Sorry..."

However, her personality changed drastically at the mention of merchandising. Flames lit up in her eyes. "Sell, you say? Well...it depends at what price - and it's worth. Also if you are a merchant then you might want to stick around." after saying this, Hina finally dropped her pen, looking at a pile of letters that were all done, waiting for her to seal them. "Once these are sealed and sent, quite a few more merchants and merchandise should come this village's way. Trust me."

With the possible scent of money on the horizon, Hina's lips curved into a smile as she rubbed her hands together.

"So...what wares do you have?"
Ayumu & Machiko

Through the hallways, Machiko would feel a lone presence approaching.

Those fights had really done a number on the school, Ayumu thought, lips curling into a smile as she took in the dented lockers. Too bad she'd missed them. She could just imagine the expressions on any onlookers' faces. The magician sneaked onwards, towards the one person still here.

An aura of gloominess permeated the air, emanating from the Detention Club room. Time to liven things up. "Hey, don't you worry," Ayumu called, striding into the room in her shadowy stage outfit. "No need to head home just yet!"

With a gloved hand, she pointed behind Machiko. Just a second ago, the room had been plain save for the table sheet. Now, streamers - or rather, knotted-together handkerchiefs, ragged and bloodstained, hung from the ceiling. Balloons floated around, some shaped like unsettlingly detailed skulls, others like eyeballs. A cabinet rose from a trapdoor, opening to reveal rows of gleaming spikes, although the many figures who leapt from the small space were unharmed. "SURPRISE!!" the other dark magical girls called in unison, their good cheer contrasting with their sinister transformed appearances.

"Although there's been a slight change of plan," Ayumu explained, waving her hand. The room became ordinary once more, empty besides her and her former partner. "Since school's out, the meeting's being moved to Ami's place."

Machiko remained perfectly still all the while illusions; eyeballs, bloodied things, skulls and balloons appeared and caused chaos in the room - for a little while. It all disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared, and only after the last illusion was gone did Machiko slowly turned around to look at Ayumu, bearing her usual nonchalant expression. By the time Ayumu had made her way to the room, the feast of sweets and pastries had been packed back up in their boxes. Holding one in her arms, Machiko walked over to Ayumu.

"Here." she said as she put the box in her friend's arms and went back to the table to pick up the other one.

"Help me carry those to Ami's home then."

She aimed for the door, but stopped as she was passing Ayumu and turned her head towards her. "It's been a while. You must have a new partner by now." she said, with no traces of either being happy to see Ayumu or not. Since those two had been partners, the magician would know that's just how Machiko was: Jaded.

Ayumu didn't take offense at Machiko's minimal reaction. On the surface, the two appeared to be opposites. Deep down, Ayumu could relate to that cynicism all too well. A magician entertained and enthralled at the cost of experiencing such joy themselves. A stage act hid a myriad of secrets, just like a smile did - and just like this world did.

"Yeah, but I'm not gonna leave a friend behind," she replied, helping Machiko with the boxes. As she did, she returned to civilian form. Inspiring urban legends and ghost stories was fun and all, but probably not something Machiko would be in the kind of mood to help with. "Good to see you again, and I'm sure the rest of the club will agree. Ooh, Ami's gonna love these."

As she led the other magical girl from the room, Ayumu decided not to mention the fact that she'd come back to Miso City at a less than ideal time, with that high-and-mighty force of light invading Detention Club territory. If the club wanted to discuss that at the meeting, they would, and she wasn't going to be the one to bring the mood down. Aegis had done enough of that recently.

"It doesn't matter." she said, talking of course of whether or not the others would or would not care or be happy to see her again. "I wonder who will be my partner now. Ahh. I guess I'll have to wait for Touka to decide. Now..." the both of them were now outside of the school. It was quite late, some time after all of the commotion. Machiko turned to her old partner and looked her in the eyes of her jaded stare. "...Which way?"

The blond magical girl didn't react to the arrival of reinforcement - nothing much more than a glance at them when they pulled the man from the edge of the building. Fumiko's eyes quickly scanned the newcomer; a magical girl alright. Looked like she could handle herself. Fumiko lowered her sheathed in an attack pose. "Well - try to keep up." she said as she launched herself forward on the closest of the two vices, leaving the other one for her new friend.

She and the dog moved in unison, circling around the vice, swatting away it's arms as they came at them and harassing the enemy whenever possible. Looking for an opportunity - and it came. It came fast and hard in the form of a bullet. Fumiko's vice saw it's body ripped open by the sheer force of the ammo that had just went through it.

She didn't wait. Drawing her sword she jumped forward and through the Vice's hollowed body. Her body did a full 360 degree spin on itself as she cut the vice from inside out. By the time she landed, that enemy was no more and only one was left. She didn't stop there, moving in closer to the other vice she focused on swatting and cutting away whatever arms would be aiming at the other girl while she fought, then landed beside her as the Vice took a few steps back, seemingly trying to regrow limbs. "The name's Nagamasa Fumiko." She said, at the ready.

"I'd let you finish it yourself, but I already made the Oath. Go, I'll support you."
