A player of games and a liver of lives, sometimes with onions and gravy.
Most assuredly unmarked and bulkheads sealing everything off with no restroom in sight. The shuttle ride was too long.
Unlike the shuttle the Lone Star was built at a high point in military design and there's a restroom positioned right next to the main hanger, across from the maintenance airlock. Like the rest of the deck it's not actually in working order at the moment, but it's there nonetheless.
If anyone had a way of scanning the ship to tell if there's lifesigns or power sources it could make things a lot easier for the party. Bringing that head back online is a primary objective after all.
A female warrior with proper armor? That's pretty rare in any media.
Let's see, there's Samus Aran, and the Female Spartan from Halo: Reach, and the women from Mass Effect and that's about it as far as I can remember. Except in Skyrim where armor is pretty much the same.
You and I remember Skyrim very differently...
"How much extra for a vibrating skull?" "Nothing, but I'll pay you 200gp if you let me watch you try it on."
That's awesome. How do you go about landing a job like that? I'm interested in becoming a Profession Writer myself. But between publishing houses and the trials of self-publishing, the book route seems like a far-fetch dream.
Years and years and years of posting stories on forum sites, doing favours for writers and artists and generally networking with talented people so they can make introductions for you. The artist who made the reference image I posted for the character now works on a game called Relic Knights for example, and I'm waiting to hear back on some work for one of their expansions.
And you're actually serious? The whole thing fell apart because of the size of her boobs?
Not just that, but the boob size was an example of where the character designer and the artists couldn't get their ideas to tally up. By the time they'd finished getting little details ironed out some of them had already moved onto other projects and were no longer available.
Whenever you hear that someone left a project due to 'creative differences' what they really mean is that preproduction took so long the people involved had to find themselves some paying work before starving to death.
Also for possibly making it into the rest of the ship harder
You almost make that sound like airlock hatches are put on ships for a reason, other than giving adventurers something to use as target practice. I mean, it's not like you're gonna have to keep the interior environment stable for the party now that two of the airlocks have been bypassed, is it?
Yo, @SimplyJohn, what is Mez expecting to find on the other side of this hatch? Like, how am I gonna describe it? Dark, Dingy and Gothic, or what? An image might help too :P
Picture Hadley's Hope when the marines arrived in the film Aliens. Dark, unpowered, abandoned, signs of small arms fire and grenade damage to the walls and deck plates, etc. And corridors, lots of corridors.
The sudden shift in air pressure sent a wave of fetid, stale gas down the companionway as Mez yanked the airlock door open, and a heavy thunking sound could be heard from the inner hatch as some ancient mechanical safety feature quickly sealed the rest of the ship off from the breach, preventing any more air from escaping.
Sadly most comic artists seem to believe that huge tits equals good reading.
And that 'female' means slutty trap. The original description for the character was that she wore a black leather bodysuit under a thick cloak, and you can see how that turned out.
Would you happen to have any actual books floating around somewhere in the world?
No, mainly my work is as a script editor and proofreader, mostly for online projects and such. Never actually been credited for the work, but the pay's quite good.
Was involved with plans for an online superhero comic a few years back where I developed the character of a bisexual cyborg superheroine with amnesia coming to terms with her sexuality and the revelation that she was a clone, which was a good challenge to write, but unfortunately the whole thing fell apart due to creative differences with the artists. ("For God's sake, she's A-cup. Stop sticking watermelons to her chest!")
@SimplyJohn You seem to know Mez about as well as I do (Which is awesome). Do you always invest yourself into the characters of your RPs so much?
I'm a professional writer with training in psychology. Whenever I work I tend to build up profiles for each character in my head and then let them play out the scene between them. Roleplaying like this is just good practice for my day job. :)
@Dragonite777 I thought it would be best to remove her as a possible romantic interest since she's surrounded by so many alpha male types. Either the story would changed into a love tetragon as they all started fighting over her or she'd have spent the entire adventure in the middle of a group huddle.
And as for the sexual tension, she'll be suffering just as much as the rest of the guys, probably more-so since she's in a committed relationship and so wouldn't be able to make use of any local comfort they may come across.
Just to note, I'll be out of town between next Thursday 30th April and the following Monday 5th of May. Should still have online access though so will probably still be posting during that time if it's applicable.
