Would anyone be interested in participating in a Dragon Age inspired roleplay covering the parts of Thedas not previously seen in the games (Nevarra, Antiva, Rivain, Par Vollen, etc.)

As GM I'll keep track of the major historical decisions we make, Dragon Age Keep-style, so everyone knows the state of play.

The party will consist of a mercenary band recently in the employ of the Inquisition but now with the Corypheus crisis averted they're moving north to find new work. The members of the party can come from any background within the races seen in Thedas (Human, Dwarf, Elf, Kossith, Darkspawn, etc.) and while I won't impose limits on what combination of powers they may have I would prefer that they limit themselves to Skills, Spells, Talents and Abilities previously seen in the Dragon Age universe. Having said that, if you'd like to play as a rogue mage with a greatsword feel free to combine powers from all those available to craft your perfect character, as long as they don't contravene established lore (no Dwarven mages, for instance.)

I'd be looking for committed players able to post at last once every few of days, and anyone not posting at least once a week would be considered to have fallen into the Deep Roads and been killed by Darkspawn... or at least hopefully killed by them.
@HHShetland "D're-keh-b'visk! D're-keh-b'visk! ...Hyp'n-ka'prun at maag, yat?"

As the strange little creature hollered at him Geoff turned to see what the problem was. "Can I help you, Sir?" he asked as politely as he could, but the creature didn't seem to be listening. Instead Geoff watched as Tongzka carefully crafted his little sign in the bartop before smiling with comprehesion.

"Ahh.. I have just the thing..." Reaching over to a cabinet set beside the bar the half-troll pulled out a mug which seemed hauntingly similar to the one the little alien had just drawn. Setting it carefully down in front of Tongzka Geoff turned towards the rack of bottles stacked up behind him, snatching half a dozen seemingly at random before lining them up beside the mug.

With great care and precision Geoff measured out several quantities of each concoction, adding them one by one to the mug, which soon began to sizzle and fizz as the chemicals reacted with one another, turning the drink, or at least Tongzka hoped it was a drink, first green, then blue and finally bright fluorescent pink. With the last bottle Geoff reached down beneath the counter and pulled out a teardropper. Carefully extracting a single drop of the strangely viscous semi-liquid he held the teardropper out at arms length and added the final ingredient.

A silence fell over the room, as if all noise had suddenly been sucked away, only to return a second later in cacophonous wave which threatened to deafen anyone too close. The glowing pink mixture in the mug leapt into the air, scattering in all directions before freezing and reversing its motion falling back into the mug leaving only a ripple in the deep black liquid's surface as a small wisp of steam rose from it calmly.

"One black coffee, hold the sugar..." Geoff said sliding the mug over the table to his alien guest. "That'll be two coppers."
That happened to a friend of mine. After three days his chassis began to corrode so he cut his way out. :P
I Think Killing her off due to an accent is kinda...counter intuitive xD

As for the Warden? I like the Human Mage dynamic due to the Relationship of the Amell family with Hawke. Your choice, but still.

However, I can do a CS if you want me to join. ( I like DA, but honestly your group looks pretty set.)

At this point the Warden doesn't matter too much as they're out of sight in the far west of Thedas and our party won't be heading into those unknown lands anytime soon. It'd be nice to have something set in stone early though, so we can build around it if we ever get to Weisshaupt or Kirkwall and need to deal with Hawke or Merrill in any way.

We still need dedicated Rogue or Warrior characters, or combinations of the two, and it'd be nice if one of them was Awakened since it would add a lot of grit for the Plot Generator to chew over. So far we've only got Marcellus who'd be any good at stealth work and lockpicking, and with his lyrium addiction I prefer to have at least one other companion I could rely on not to pass out in the middle of disarming a fire trap because of his headaches. :P

I'll be turning down any more Spirit characters though. One ghost and a possessed man is as many spirits as I think we could reasonably expect to appear in the mercenary company with no history of entering the Fade (apart from when they're dreaming, of course.)
@Sep R.I.P @SimplyJohn

Rust In Piece? :P

@Sep You will be missed.

Being missed isn't a problem, it's getting hit that hurts.
@Ellri Statement: You are all meatbags.

Condescending Tone: That's what you think think, rustbucket.
I think we may need subtitles in future.
She likes her tables, does or @Genni.

Since he's still in the 'loading screen' I'm letting Chuck take a few liberties with the system, hiding his appearance and getting all acrobatic. Once he enters the main simulation he won't be able to use those tricks, and will be just as confined by the system as anyone else.
It felt like an eternity since he'd entered the simulation, but Chuck felt he' learnt all he could about the physical laws of the new realm. They mostly mirrored the real world, but with a few exceptions he might be able to make use of at some point. Looking down at his hand he quickly concentrated before watching it dissolve into a mass of pixels with a loose framework of green lines beneath. It wasn't much of a disguise, he'd be the first to admit, but it should do for now.

Concentrating he willed his avatar to rise from its chair, much as he would his own body. He'd been practicing piloting the digital form remotely and had grasped enough of the basics to be able to navigate most obstacles without difficulty. He'd reached the point where even the most elaborate of acrobatics came almost effortlessly to him and with a quick flip he launched himself into the middle of the room, standing between the four tables as he considered the backpacks carefully.

This was obviously a test of some sort, or a selection process. It couldn't just be as simple as a bomb in a briefcase though, that would end the game far too quickly. No, it had to be something more elaborate than that. Slowly he paced around the tables, examining the bags one by one for any obvious signs or indications as to what they contained, his eyes darting over them as he tried to decide what should be done next.
"Three Battery Blitzers coming right up," Geoff announced, nodding his head with a grunt before turning away from the bar and stepping into the back room. Hoisting a large bucket lined with wax and overflowing with a pungently scented liquid which made both his eyes and mouth mater the half-troll staggered back into the main room and dropped his cargo on the counter heavily. All down the length of the bar mugs, goblets and tankards wobbled and shook from the impact, several falling off onto the floor as their owners stood gawping.

Reaching up into the next of tankards Geoff quickly selected three of the cleanest, or least dirty depending on your point-of-view. Giving each a smear with the half of his dishrag which had survived exposure to the concentrated acid which had finally managed to dribble its way down into the barman's boot, sizzling his toes, Geoff dipped the mugs one by one into the bucket, carefully making sure not a drop of the precious chemical was spilt.

Placing each of the drinks in front of the three customers Geoff pulled six swizzle sticks out of thin air, three made of zinc and three manganese, before dropping them into the containers. It took a moment for the reaction to start, bubbles forming on the swizzlers for a moment the only sign that anything was happening at all, but then the first sparks arrived. Slowly at first the arcs of electricity leapt from one stick to another, making their way up the swizzle sticks before snapping apart at the tips. Soon the flow of electricity was constant, with arcs forming and rising in quick succession.

"There you go lady and gentlemen, three Battery Blitzers, as order." Geoff said proudly as he pushed the tankards over the counter towards their new owners.
