  • Dual Wielding - When Pierce uses the normal Attack action, he may attack twice rather than just once through that attack action. This trait does not apply to attacks done through Skills. ((This one will probably cost a fair few SkP's))

That sounds a little too powerful to be a Trait, it's basically permanently doubling Pierce's Attack with no cost or penalty. Perhaps a Skill like this would be more balanced:

'Backup Piece: Cost -3 Energy/Turn; Pierce gains the Dual Wield Status Effect, when Pierce uses a normal Attack action, he may attack twice rather than just once while Dual Wield is in effect. This trait does not apply to attacks done through Skills.'

The continuous Energy drain would limit how long and how often Pierce would be able to maintain 'Dual Wield' for, as well as making the 'Extended Clip' Trait more useful (at full Energy Pierce would be able to maintain 'Dual Wield' for seven rounds, rather than only four.)

He'd also use a round's Action each time he activated the Skill, taking the time to draw and prepare his second weapon, unless he chose to use 'Quick Draw' to speed up his preparation which would mean he'd only be able to maintain 'Dual Wield' for two rounds (or four if he had the 'Extended Clip' Trait as well.)

Holding back just far enough to blend in with the crowd Chuck followed the goblins into the hotel and made his way to the bar in their wake. The creatures seemed to be enjoying their trip into the luxurious suite normally reserved for the elven classes and Chuck couldn't help but smile at their antics as the beasts made a nuisance of themselves as he slipped through the bystanders unnoticed. Making his way to the concierge desk Chuck struck the service bell once with his hand and waited for service, his fingers pulling out several of the ICP notes from his pocket and holding them in clear view for any of the hotel staff who might choose to question what a detattler might be doing lurking in their establishment.

Reaching down Chuck plucked a letter opener from the desk and quickly went to work trying to cut open the intransigeant envelope which had so far resisted his fumbled attempts to unseal. If the thing had been so securely fastened there must surely be something of great worth hidden within.

I'm not exactly sure on what we're waiting on here. I kinda want to see how Raleigh's going to finish that sentence before chipping in with anything more from Bruiser.
We're also hoping to grab a couple of more Jedi rescuers now due to several WIPs not having shown progress or presence recently. Any takers?

I'd be interested in taking on another character. Do you have any guidelines for the strength and skill levels you'd be needing for them, or any preferences as to which races you'd like to be represented?

I prefer not to play as humans if possible, since I do enough of that in real life already.

It wasn't until his head hit the floor that Som realised he was beginning to come to, and immediately he felt the worse for it. Part of him just wanted to sink back into the serenity on the endless slumber the medications had brought upon him, back the other part, the part trained by his grandfather, told him to harness the pain and use it. Focussing Som let his consciousness surface, letting the pain guide the way through the blackness that was sleep, until finally he could feel the sensations of his body once more.

The pain was even greater than he'd first thought, but that just meant there was more material for the Mirialan to work with. The highest concentration was in his jaw and as he tried to grind his teeth together the burning sensation became a nova. He could feel a couple of the teeth wobbling against his tongue and knew that he'd probably have to remove them before an infection set in, but that was something to worry about later.

The next greatest source of pain was his back, just along the bottom of his ribcage. SHifting himself on the floor Som tested his limits and there didn't seem to be too much give trom the fragile bones, so the damage was probably just the heavy bruising from where he'd been smashed against the shuttle by the Sith, along with whatever had happened to his during the flight from the Temple. And despite everything else, he knew they were most certainly no longer at the Temple, unless the drugs had kept him suppressed for a far longer time than he'd first guessed.

Laying on the floor Som reached out as best he could with the Force, trying to gauge the state of his surroundings before revealing his awakening to those nearby, just in case the Sith were waiting for him to show signs of recovery before attacking once more. Best to play possum and let them await their sport a little longer. It wasn't like they could get any angrier with him for making them wait a few minutes more. His sense told him nothing useful though, the heavy pall of darkness which seemed to hang over everything he sensed made it impossible for his limited control of the Force to pierce the shadows. All he knew for certain was that wherever this place was, it was a place corrupted and dedicated to the Dark Side in ways he couldn't even begin to imagine.

With nothing better to do, no way of learning more about his circumstances and unwilling to simply lay on the cold floor awaiting execution Som pushed himself up into a seated position and took a deep breath, which he almost immediately regretted. Coughing several times, causing flares of pain to burst inside him each time, Som tried to clear his throat of the noxious vapours he was breathing, only to realise that the flavour was not from the air around him but from within his own body. Most likely a side effect of whatever chemicals had been used on him, the traces of which he could still feel lingering in his blood.

Blinking his eyes open Som glanced around the dark chamber, trying to see whether there was yet hope for escape or freedom. Or failing that any sign that his death was going to be of more use than mere entertainment for some twisted perversion of nature.

As she stepped into the training room Ulyana turned her glowing green optics up to watch the motorcycle flying around the ceiling for a moment before calling out over the roar of the engine. "I could've helped you with that, if you'd asked." She yelled, one hand held beside the speaker port which served for her mouth. To emphasise her point Ulyana quickly morphed her other arm into a selection of power tools, quickly switching between different configurations available in her impressive arsenal.

In the workshop, a couple of floors down, Meltdown was in the process of completing yet another analysis of his silver skin, the same substance which held Ulyana's mechanical body together. Holding out a petri dish he willed a small portion out into the glass container before waving a finger at it commandingly. "Stay!" He chuckled, watching the small blob form into a worm-like shape and reach up towards him.

One of the things he had discovered in his testing was that any portion of his skin which broke away seemed to have the urgent instinct to reform with him again, moving under its own power to get back to the central mass. For a moment Meltdown wondered whether this explained the connection he felt with Hardline, whether it was just a chemical reaction shared between his skin and her blood.

Pushing the matter to one side Meltdown slid the test sample into the reaction chamber and reached for the dictaphone he'd left on the worktop nearby. "Experiment number..." Quickly running his finger down the chart in front of him Meltdown checked which test he'd gotten upto. Dear Lord, that many... "...number 14,326. Today I'll be exposing the sample with high-intensity gamma radiation to test its resistance to energy bombardment."

Moving over to the control computer Meltdown quickly typed in the test settings and tapped the button to start the procedure, turning to look into the reaction chamber to see the results for himself. A moment later he was collapsing onto the floor, clutching at his head as a sharp jolt of pain shot through it. Gritting his teeth against the agony the scientist groped up at the computer, quickly slamming his hand down on the emergency cut out before laying back on the floor for a few moments to recover.

Finally reaching up he took hold of the dictaphone again, and with panting breaths said, "Test results; extremely negative. Sample did not enjoy the exposure at all, and made sure I knew it."

Lifting himself back up onto his feet the silver-skinned Samoan moved over to the reaction chamber, pulling the door open and reaching his arm inside. The background radiation was still too high for a normal human, but Meltdown had already discovered his own resistance to low-level radiation was much higher than any 'normal' human. With a small smile he watched as the test sample leapt from the dish and melted back into the rest of the silver mass covering his hand, sending a small ripple through the surface of his skin as it blended with his body once more.

Screaming out in pain Hardline grasped at the mass of electronic which was currently serving as her head. "Окончание на мои сиськи и брызги его по всей моем лице!" She cried out, as her body began to break apart as her binding blood went haywire, the various tools and pieces of equipment currently making up her physical form falling onto the training room floor.

A moment later the pain was gone and Hardline could feel her blood coming back under her control again. Bending over she let the silver fluid drip down over the components which had broken away and quickly reabsorbed them back into her chassis once more, before looking up at Bud bashfully. "I'm sorry you had to hear that, I did not mean to lose control of myself in such a way."
I wasn't planning on Hardline having sleeping quarters, after all she's more hardware than personnel and so wouldn't really need to sleep (no offence meant Ulyana.) I guess she could always make use of quarters to store all the different devices she could integrate with in preparation for missions though. And a nice oil bath wouldn't go amiss either.
@SimplyJohn So, what's the final version of your Float like a Butterfly thing going to be? Is it an activated buff?

I think it's best if 'Float Like A Butterfly' was a Skill rather than a Trait, and that it grants Bumblebee the 'Levitating' Status Effect until disabled.

This would give Bumblebee immunity to ground-based attacks and effects, but would also mean that it could be countered by an enemy able to cancel status effect (basically knocking her out of the air.) If this happens then Bumblebee would have to spend an action to recover and launch herself back into the air, losing the chance to attack in the same turn. There may also be enemies who can take advantage of anyone with a status effect, making the Skill into a double=edged sword at times.

The Skill would still have a continual power drain of -1 Energy/Turn, since the immunity is quite a powerful effect to have, but Bumblebee could choose to land and cancel the effect at any time, restoring her Energy regenerating but losing the immunity.

Bumblebee wouldn't get any increase for defence or evasion from the Skill, but I may take a Trait for her next level which would give her a bonus as long as 'Levitating' is in effect. That or a boost to her Energy regeneration in order to make up for the power drain from her flying.

Looking at the way the Status Effects were handled in the last battle, I was thinking of playing around with my earlier idea for combo attack Skills and Traits too (since I'd still like to use the idea if possible.) The way I thought it could work would be something like:

Skill
'Stings Like A Bee: Cost 3; If Bumblebee is Levitating she gains the Speeding Status Effect until after her next attack, target takes an extra 5 Damage when attacked.'

Trait
'Sonic Boom:: Triggers at the beginning of the turn after Bumblebee makes a Speeding attack, all enemies take 5 Damage and are Unbalanced for one turn. Bumblebee may not take an Action or make an Attack in this round.'

So basically Bumblebee would have to take an Action to activate 'Floats Like A Butterfly', then take another Action to activate 'Stings Like A Bee' before making an attack with +5 Damage on her third turn and causing a basic 5 Damage and the Statue Effect on all enemies for her fourth turn.

Of course, she could always skip all that and just dive bomb an enemy again, gaining the 'Speeding' Status Effect and triggering 'Sonic Boom' on the second turn instead, but she would then have to suffer damage when she hit the floor, as she did in this last battle. Fluffily she'd be recovering from her fall, rather than hitting the airbrakes, to explain why she wouldn't be able to act or attack.
@SpookySquid

After spending several moments gazing at the indecipherable curves and swirls scribbled in what seemed like a random pattern on the menu Chuck turned away, his eyes lingering for a moment on a black-skinned female elf who seemed to be paying him some attention before a well-dressed eld stepped close to her and whispered something in her ear. As he watched carefully Chuck notice some money changing hands before the dark elf smiled happily and slipped her hand around the other elf's offered arm and proceeded into the hotel with him.

Smiling to himself Chuck moved away from the hotel, shaking his head at how obvious the exchange had been, all the while noting how none of the other elves seemed at all put out by having a whore in their midst. Gazing over the crowd Chuck was certain just what kind of establishment this 'hotel' really was, given the mixture of male and female, high-class and low-class elves frequenting it.

Heading over to the suspicious looking goblins lurking nearby Chuck called out to them, "Bloody stuck up prigs!" His tone was comically drunk, words slurred slightly as he moved closer to them, certain they'd seen him talking to Brakeel and maybe even seen him leaving the casino. "Just because you start to win, they have you escorted out of the building."

Stopping just far enough away not to make himself an easy target, but at the same time close enough to appear to be friendly, Chuck pulled out a few of his ICP and waved them in the air. "Night's too early to stop now though, wouldn't you agree boys?" He said, jovially before jerking his thumb back over his shoulder towards the elf-infested hotel. "How'd you all like to join me for a little drink in their posh bar? I'm sure they'#d just love to have us showing them how to really have a good time."
