Alice felt a little put on the spot as group was seated and began. The head doctor, what was his name again? Oh right, Dr. Ashton, had asked her to start off with her introduction. She was quiet for a moment before she spoke. “Um… hi, my name is Alice. I’m here because of night terrors, I suppose. I really don’t know what else to say other than that though.” She said, and she looked beside her at a sudden thud. Chris and Evan had each grabbed hold of the legs on Daniel’s chair and pulled it out from under him… as he was sitting down at that. The maniacal laughter that followed the fall kind of put her on edge. Chris hadn’t seemed that bad just a little bit earlier when she first came in.
“Christoph, Evangeline. None of that.” The older looking doctor, the one she recognized as Absolum, said as he helped Daniel up and back into his seat before taking his place against the wall. Beside him was a woman who just seemed pleased with the display. Alice was almost certain that she was Dr. Rivers. She had been absent from her admission session, but Absolum hadn’t. She was almost glad for it now. As she thought of it, she hadn’t even seen the two doctors come in.
She shook her head a bit, listening to Chess introduce himself before it came to Chris, who just wore a sick sort of smirk on his face. Something about it though… there was more to it. Something that said he hadn’t always been like this, but he spoke. “Well, as almost all of you know, I’m Christoph, better known as Chris. There really isn’t too much more to me though.” He let out the crazy laugh again. “Oh who am I kidding? Alice, darling, welcome to your little slice of insanity. If you weren’t when you got here… you damn sure will be soon.” His eyes shot a look to Dr. Ashton before he laughed again and leaned back against his seat. He looked over to Daniel as he spoke next, and he saw Evan scratching at her hands.
That was a bit of a tick she had when she wasn’t fully allowed to be herself. Once Daniel finished, eyes fell on Evan who was still scratching at her hands. “My name is Evan.” She said, and she looked to Laura who was cuddled up to Liv.
Chris spoke again though, “Oh come now sister dear. You can do better than that!”
Evan gave him a look. “Not for that twat! She shouldn’t even be here!” she said, pointing at Alice who just seemed bewildered. “Yes, blondie, you.”
Alice kind of sank in her seat when she watched Dr. Absolum walk over and place his hands on Evan’s shoulders. “Let Laura speak.” He said, and Evan rolled her eyes and went back to scratching at her hands. After Laura spoke, Liv rubbing her shoulders a bit as she did, Liv sighed.
“My name is Olivia, I prefer to be called Liv. Ryan over here is my twin brother. And I’m here because…” she thought for a moment. “I’m obsessive compulsive.”
Chris had mumbled something and Alice rose a brow when she heard it. He’d called her a beautiful siren. She had seen the blush run over Liv’s face momentarily before Ryans turn came.
This was interesting group indeed, Alice thought. It was definitely something she was beginning to see. She watched as Absolum went back to his place at the wall, Dr. Rivers laughing a bit. She seemed to be enjoying this too much. It was definitely crazy here, and now she actually feared for her sanity.
