Having fought off and on for almost two decades in arenas I can tell you time based powers and wormholes/blackhole based powers are usually never allowed because the abuse potential is high. Firearms are frowned upon by some people because they don't understand how they are used or how to combat them. I love firearms in the arena.

I think your mecha cat is a good character that few people here can handle. Not because they aren't good fighters but because most fights here are kept in a specfic box due to a lack of experience against diverse opponents.

People bitched and moaned against my gunfighter-esque character because he didn't fit into their box of knowledge. It happens.
Now Night if you read the post carefully I have done a few things. Closed our distance but gave no clear distance leaving it open. Attacked you indirectly with the environment while retaining and adding a prep. Avoided your attack. And finally surrounded myself with your friends.

If we're going to move into the territory of overpowered characters, we might as well just stop it.I was talking about the worst kind of viable character type to face in a battle. You know, the kind you could expect to see approved into the list.

As long as I can see several ways to beat a character then I approve them. Otherwise I ask for changes so I see more than one way to overcome said character. Fights aren't meant to be vanilla. You should have to think to overcome an opponent. Running into a fight willy-nilly and careless should earn you a loss. But the victory should be something you can boast about as well.
Hmmm. I dunno your ideas arent bad but by your own admission the arena is not your forte so finding the sweet spot to balance character and power is still fuzzy. Instead of arguing with me work with me and we can bring your character into the arena.
You're kidding right?
We all sucked because we were still in thr MUD mindset. Gawd muds were the best thing going back then. LoL.
I still have to post the updated approved characters and several posts.

Remember you can submit non-combat characters if you want so a guy running a store who controls atms is fine.
Meh ranked HoR fighters are dicks at times. The precious record....lol

I could see bullets missing often if the target is on the move, and even more so if strong environmental factors are thrown into the mix, such as high winds, thick fog or smoke or rain obscuring the shooter's vision. If the shooter is on the move, hitting a moving target is even harder. The excessive Matrix-style dodging is literally maximum cheese, however. One of the few times I used a gun-heavy character was against one of Crapton's characters, though his character was more of a mobile slab of wrought iron than a purely organic creature, so I guess that character's capacity to absorb hundreds of .50 BMG rounds (as well as didge them since she was moving fairly often during the fight) was justified.

Bullets depend on the fight low tier realistic usually ends bad for the person bringing a sword to a gunfight.
Oh I know Melon, go ahead. I will update the character list later.
