Hi, this looks like a really cool and fun rp, so I figured that I would throw my hat in the ring. I'm sorry if he's not quite up to par just yet, I just saw this rp and was inspired, so I just threw this sheet together in like three hours, so he might still need a few tweaks. ^-^

---- Many students have a hard time during high school, Michael was no exception. There were various factors involved in making Michael’s high school experience a miserable and lonely one. Having been raised by his elderly grandparents, money was always tight so almost everything he owned was old and second hand, coupled with the fact that puberty decided to mess with him, he struck a decidedly unremarkable figure. Most students never even acknowledged his existence beyond a judgmental first glance, while others saw his awkward appearance and decided that he was easy prey (you accidentally spill your lunch on the captain of the basketball team one time, and he’ll never let you forget it.). This led to Mikey having an extremely low self-esteem and he started to keep to himself as much as possible. He didn’t take part in any clubs, he didn’t have any real friends, frankly he was invisible even to the outcasts. The only outstanding thing about his high school life were his grades, which he kept reasonably high, but the only attention that got him was some pocket change he got by charging people for doing their homework for them. The rest of his free time was spent helping around the house, studying and working part-time at the town-library. By the time graduation rolled around, Mikey’s high school life had been so unremarkable, the teachers almost skipped over his name during the ceremony. It would be a surprise if any students from Ritman High would even remember that they went to school with one Michael James, at most they might remember how convenient the Homework-kid was when they didn’t want to suffer through a tough chemistry project. ---- If you were to look at Michael now, compared to his high school self, you would be hard pressed to recognize him as the same person. In the summer between graduation and starting college he finally grew out of his awkward phase, and with his grandmother bullying him into updating his wardrobe into something that actually resembles style his appearance went from unremarkable to a solid seven. That was the catalyst. He might have still followed old habits of staying out of the way and keeping to himself, but between sharing a dorm and people actually sparing him a second glance, for the first time in his life he wasn’t completely invisible. Slowly, but surely, this led to him stepping out of his comfort zone, starting by accepting the occasional invitation to hang out, to joining different clubs, to actually making friends. Just like that, he wasn’t the isolated Homework-kid anymore, but just another regular guy getting dragged into new experiences. He experienced a lot of new things during college; drinking his first beer, learning how to drive a motorcycle, got dragged to several different classes, though he didn’t end up sticking with any of them for long. The day that he got his degree, he even got a full back tattoo of a pair of angel wings as a symbol of his growth as a person. A way for him to show everyone that he spread his wings and as a reminder to himself to keep flying forward. Mikey would be lying if he said he didn’t have any regrets. There was a lot of things that he missed out on, opportunities he didn’t take and things that he didn’t say that he wishes he could change. But focussing on the past wont change it. As of right now, Michael James is more confident in himself than ever before. He’s no longer scared to be seen and will approach others with his head held high when the situation calls for it. He now grabs onto every chance, every opportunity with both hands, not willing to miss out on anything else ever again. College has also turned him into a little bit of an adrenaline junkie, the rush he feels when riding his motorcycle or trying something new is indescribable. That is part of the reason that once he graduated, he decided to work from home by doing the bookkeeping for several businesses digitally, that way his schedule is more open, giving him ample time for mini-adventures as well as regularly visiting his grandparents in their new Florida home. There are times when Michael is absolutely terrified of losing all of his progress, of things going back to how they were in high school, but the more time passes the less frequent they happen. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔

---- Michael’s previous back-tattoo have become a pair of large black wings that has sprouted from his back. These wings are a new permanent body part that can’t be dismissed at will. Psychologically, this has taken a toll on him. After years of being an awkward, invisible outcast, he was finally starting to be comfortable with himself, take risks and become someone that he can actually be proud of, when the tattoo that he got as a symbol of him finally spreading his wings became much more literal than he what he had in mind. Not only that, but their appearance has also affected his balance, pushing him back into his awkward clumsy phase until he gets used to them. The wings are also very difficult to hide. Mikey has been forced to add several large trench-coats to his wardrobe, on top of making various alterations to any clothes that he wants to wear. These wings are made up of dozens of feathers, the longest reaching 120cm with the smallest barely being 2cm long. Each individual feather can be detached and manipulated telepathically to do various jobs. As long as they stay intact, the feathers can also be reattached. Mikey has a connection with his feathers and can use them as sensors that can feel the location of people and objects in their presence by feeling the vibrations in the air around them. The feathers all vary in strength – the smallest able to move around ten pounds – as well as sharpness. The feathers can be both stiff and flexible depending on what Michael needs, making it possible for them to be used as weapons. The longest feathers are able to make very effective blades. Most importantly, when fully-feathered the wings allow Mike the ability to fly at extraordinary speeds and at great heights. At his best he can reach up to 390km/h and a height of 37000 feet. ---- After growing literal wings, I see Michael going through a bit of a crises. For a long time he was just some loser who people only noticed when they needed someone to pick on or to do their homework. In college he started to find himself, to be more comfortable with himself as a person. He stepped out of his comfort zone, started taking risks and stopped being afraid of being himself. The appearance of the wings, changed that. Once again he was an outsider, a freak, someone who just doesn’t fit in. I would like to explore how he accepts himself, how he learns to love the newfound freedom that his wings give him, in spite of the restrictions that they bring. Power-wise, he’d start out a little clumsy, struggling to move and manipulate his feathers properly. He’d also be knocking into things a lot, unused to the extra weight that he now has to carry around. Like any muscle, I see his wings getting stronger the more they are used and through practice and experience, I’d like for him to eventually reach the level of skills mentioned in Powers. ---- There was one key word that permeated Jack’s high school ‘career’—unreliable. Unreliable in friendships, unreliable in schoolwork, unreliable in attendance. She wasn’t going to be the loser with no friends though—fuck no. For better or for worse, Jack found a way of worming herself into some semblance of friend groups, becoming a lingering shadow in the background of events. Was she their friend? Questionable (no). Was she a part of the group? Whenever she showed up, sure. After a few months (at best), she’d fly the coop to greener pastures, swapping for a new group. Her social life was a revolving door of casual acquaintances, being that she’d never let anyone get closer than that. Engaging with Jack felt very much like being used, even though she never seemed to benefit from it. If you ever made plans with Jack, expect to be disappointed. Her truancy was not from a lack of interest in education; it was a lack of interest in being anywhere. She’d attend parties on her own terms—a minimum of half an hour late, already half-drunk from pre-drinking at the plaza, floating through the crowd of bodies like a fish to water. The closest thing to quality time in Jack’s world was slipping off the school grounds to smoke weed in the secluded nooks and crannies of Delton. Jack was just as polarizing a figure to teachers as she was to fellow students. She was never actively disruptive—that would require effort on her part—but her refusal to pay attention and complete tasks became a passive impediment. None of them really wanted to bother with the kid who didn’t want to be helped, so they’d ignore it when they caught a glimpse of the cigarette packet in her bag, or when they’d bump into her with a beer in hand outside of school hours. The particularly stubborn ones would use her many misgivings as ammunition, in some kind of attempt to threaten her into caring. She remained blasé. As the years progressed, the cool, mysterious kid act got old. It became clear Jack had no intention of changing her behavior. Any wariness of her soon turned into bitterness, if not resentment. Still, Jack was never one to care what other people thought. She had her own standards and her own way of living; those that didn’t fit those standards didn’t matter. Jack was, and maybe always will be, an enigma. The girl with no real ambition who finished without a diploma, just the way she started. ---- To the surprise of many, Jack’s life has improved since Ritman, though she’s gained little success or achievement. It took a while, but she finally made the time to at least somewhat work things through with her father. What issues they were having, she’ll never tell (nor will she say they ever had issues in the first place), but she changed her last name to Wilkerson in 2019. Carpenter was her mother’s name—you figure the rest out. After that, her dad offered her a job at the Bistro, hoping it would help ground his still-oscillating daughter. It did. The formality of being a colleague rather than a potential friend meant that her aloofness was no longer a source of friction, and being outside of a school environment, she found herself wandering less. At her core, though, little is different. She managed to hold her job—even nepotism wouldn’t save her if she kept spending all her time elsewhere—and her work progressed to a standard that is agreeably acceptable. It’s fair to say she probably gets tipped the least out of everybody at the Bistro. Oh, you’re ready to order? ‘Cool. Whaddya want.’ The lack of resistance to her personality in her adult life has ingrained behaviors that otherwise would’ve faded after high school. She approaches everything as though it has zero stakes, offering nothing more than a ‘big deal’ when things go wrong. Appealing to some, offputting to others; the traditional Jack Wilkerson way. The same disinterest applies inwardly. It was never exactly a secret that she liked girls, even if she had (and still has) a stubborn refusal to name it. Why does it matter if she’s ‘a lesbian’? Labels are stupid. It’s as if she’s entirely disconnected from herself—enough to give any therapist brave enough to try nightmares. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔

---- Jack possesses the power of intangibility—she can bypass objects of various materials that are in her way. This is done through minor molecular manipulation, wherein she can make her own molecules pass through the molecules of solid objects. Manipulating her own molecules on an atomic level is subconscious for the most part (and for obvious reasons), but it requires focus and concentration to allow her subconscience to do it. Things like fences and gates are significantly harder to phase through, due to the gaps between the metal. It takes far more brainpower to control as different parts of her body will hit either the metal poles or the air inbetween, therefore requiring the movement of molecules in dozens of different areas. Her power is also specifically concentrated on her own molecules—she can’t grab others and make them intangible. Straining her powers will usually result in nosebleeds, migraines and vertigo. ---- Long story short, I want to take a detached figure with very little regard for how harmful her negative behaviors are, and thrust her into a situation of insane proportions with (most likely) some of the very people she hurt. The conflict this causes could go either way—it could finally break down those walls, and force her to confront feelings and having wants and desires, or it could vindicate her worldview and cause her to double-down on it. Being so self-centered, having her life essentially put into other people’s hands will definitely force Jack to take a more proactive role in events. She’s had very little experience with tangible consequences—or at least consequences she actually cared about—in her life, which is going to change dramatically. With time and increased usage of her powers will come greater control, and an expansion in the range of her abilities. The speed of a moving object will become negligible, and she’ll require less focus to keep her molecules in flux. However, if pushed too far, her power could easily slip out of control—she might never be able to turn it off, and soon die from the instability of her molecular structure. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
