Scarlet Warrington

Location: Town Center
Interacting With: Dr. Chase Barnes @Morose & Samantha Hunter @Nallore

Scarlet raised an eyebrow slightly, the man was acting peculiar, the way he was freaking out over Rex simply being friendly towards him and the fact that he was overly anxious and protective of the box he had in his hands; glancing over at Samantha the same time she glanced at her, something was going on with him. What really was starting to set off her alarm bells though is how he laughed obnoxiously, much like how someone would if they were nervous and trying act inconspicuous.

Clearly he was up to something and it was whatever was in that box, she didn’t know if it was indeed a bomb or not, but it was starting to set Rex off as he began to growl towards Chase. Damn, this was a problem, she didn’t want to let on that she was with the CIA, especially if what he had in that box was just some harmless item, there could be people in the crowd that were working with this supposed terrorist group her superiors suspected and revealing herself could scare them off.

Feeling it best to stay undercover still, she said to him, “Listen, I don’t know what you have in that box or what you’re planning to do, but I would highly advise against it, there’s dozen of law enforcement here and after this mess, I’m sure they’re all on edge and would quickly gun you down, there’s already been enough chaos for one day, there’s no need to add to anymore of it.” Hopefully her reasoning would get the man to back off from whatever he was attempting.

“Rex, relax, just stay calm.” Scarlet spoke to the german shepard, he however kept growling at what was in the box, his protective instincts kicking in and refused to settle down until the threat was no longer there. ‘Damn it Rex, I get you’re protective but now is not one of those times to be so, especially since you find whatever is in that box, dangerous,’ She thought to herself as she continue to try and calm him down.

She hoped it wouldn’t come to violence, but she readied herself just in case, placing her hand behind her back, it hovering near her hidden pistol, ‘Come on, don’t do anything stupid, you do and I’m sure I’ll need to explain myself after dealing with you,’ She thought to herself once more, waiting on what Chase would do next.

Elizabeth Hawthorne

Location: Emergency Room → Exiting with Danica
Interacting With: Danica Graves (For the last time)@Lady Amalthea

Elizabeth let out a small chuckle, she was still very weak from whatever the hell attacked Danica and herself, “Guess I can’t really argue with that.” She was glad that even with whatever she was, Danica was still willing to give her a chance and help her, though she understood her continued caution, if the situations were reversed, Elizabeth would probably react the same way.

She kept up her pace with Danica best she could as they went through the crowd and then started to head outside, okay there was a little sunlight, but that was alright, so far the blankets seemed to be working, it was a little warm for her taste, but she much preferred that over roasting like a pig in a luau.

Then it seemed with her thoughts tempting fate, a huge gust of wind blew against them, sending the blanket on her flying off, though he desperately tried to cling to it, but in her weakened state it was no use and she started to feel the full effects of the sun as she began to scream in pain as the sun started to cook her already damaged flesh.

She glanced over at Danica, knowing what was about to happen, “Guess this is the end for me...thanks for everything you did...good by-” She grunted, still holding onto Danica’s hand before being cut off as she collapsed into dust, thus that being the end of Elizabeth as a final brush of wind scattered her ashes that were left behind.

Jessica Sorreast

Location: Altsoba Methodist Hospital, 2nd Floor → ER
Interacting With: Hospital Staff

Jessica came walking in, dawning on her gloves as she got ready to examine the patient; it definitely was a hectic day to say the least, she’d been running all around the hospital as dozens of people were flooding in, either to see loved ones or thinking they caught something such as the plague, the day was putting her a bit on edge, so she was a bit more blunt and sarcastic than usual, but when dealing with dozens to hundreds of people freaking out of a simple cough, it would get to anyone.

Inside the room were two women, one being a nurse, the other being a fresh intern. Great, just what she needed, to be mommy and answer all their incessant questions; she began to check over the injuries the patient had, they weren’t too severe, but it’d be a while before he’d be out of the hospital.

“So what’s been done so far?” She asked, continuing to examine the patient.

“I’ve ordered a blood culture and a CT scan.” The blonde intern responded, hmm, perhaps she wouldn’t need to be a babysitter for the newbie, that would make her day a little less hectic.

“Great, well when we get the results back we can..” She trailed off as her pager started to alert her that she was needed elsewhere.

“Damn it, can’t I just get a moment of peace without constantly being needed?” She spoke to herself before heading out the door.

When she finally made it to the ER, she saw dozens of people who had been severely injured, a nurse was passing by and Jessica asked her, “What’s going on, what happened?”

“I don’t know, just they started to come in like crazy.”

“How insightful, why don’t you go over to the wall and stand there, I’m sure you’ll be much more useful as building support than a damn nurse, M'kay?” She responded with a facade smile that quickly turned to a frown, she didn’t need this today.

The nurse who was clearly insulted, ran off to tend to other people as Jessica went to work assisting in treating the people who looked like they had been in a small war, “And I thought this small town was going to be peaceful.” She said to herself as she continued to try and deal with the chaos happening in the ER.
@Morose She was so young and did so little. :( and of course, her tribute song

@Morose Cool, will be getting my post up shortly. :)
@Morose Alright, fixed it, should be all good now.
a house and sorry about that, knew I was forgetting something, I'll just blame that lack of memory on the allergies as well.
Here's another character, apologies it took so long, allergies have been making me feel like crap the past few days, will also try to get the other character I'm making up tonight as well and if not, then I'll try getting it up tomorrow.

Scarlet was a bit taken aback by the man’s reaction to Rex, he was well trained and wouldn’t attack unless threatened or she gave the order too. She however held her tongue, keeping up her facade and smile, she didn’t need this whole thing that she implemented to go south because she had an attitude with how he reacted to her dog. “Oh my pup wasn’t trying to kill you, as I said, he tends to get a bit over eager with meeting people and just wanted to say hi, I apologize again though, I didn’t mean for him to scare you.” She spoke as she glanced to Rex, rubbing his head softly.

She took notice of how he seemed focused on the accident that was before them, finding it curious that he was so fixated on a horrible sight, then again, with all that she had seen when she was heading towards Altsoba, this wasn’t that strange. Perhaps he was just very enthusiastic about accidents and crime scenes, she came across people like that during her short time in the CIA, but she was getting a funny feeling about him that she couldn’t quite explain.

She felt like she was beginning to make a little headway when she got his name and his job occupation, “Nice to meet you, I’m S-” She stopped herself just in time, almost giving her real name, she still wasn’t entirely used to her alias yet, correcting herself she continued, “I’m Emily Moreau and you’ve already met my furry companion, his name is Rex.” Scarlet took notice how he still firmly grasped the box, clearly not wanting to let it go, “So what’s with the box? Got a bomb or something in there?” She joked with a small chuckle, though she was preparing herself for any aggressive action he might take.

Rex quickly took notice to a woman approaching them, alert but still being obedient to the commands that Scarlet gave, Scarlet noticed Rex’s diverted attention, then glanced over to see the woman approaching them. “I just got here as well the day before, so I can’t really fill you in too much, I think it was a shooting or something.” She responded and then added, “As for a place to stay, I’m staying at a place called Aunt Sue’s Inn, they’re might still be some vacancies there, thought I’m not entirely sure.”

Rex being the curious sort went over to the woman, starting to sniff the woman, finding her to be okay, he licked her hand a little, "Now stop that pup, you've already bothered one person, we don't need you bothering another." Rex responding with multiple barks before heading over to Scarlet once more and sat next to her, "Sorry, I don't know what's gotten into him, must be all this crazy stuff that's been going on that's causing him to misbehave." She chuckled to Samantha.

Elizabeth Hawthorne

Location: Emergency Room
Interacting With: Danica Graves @Lady Amalthea

Elizabeth had been surprised when Danica was suddenly released from the wall, wondering what the hell was going on, “Alright, aside from me, this is the second strangest thing I’ve see-” She began speaking before something started to drag her into the sun and pinned her there. She grunted as her skin began to cook once more, the pain becoming so great she eventually let out intense screams, if she was a vampire, she knew she couldn’t be in the sun long, eventually it would kill her.

She felt the entity’s grasp release and then scurried out of the light, just making it out of the direct sunlight, panting heavily as her skin began to heal, though this damage would take a bit longer. She glanced over to see Danica throw some powder that created a white cloud and then felt her arm being yanked as she helped her up, avoiding the sunlight as they tried to make it to the exit, however that was halted when they both noticed the sunlight outside, ‘Damn it, can’t I just get one break where my life isn’t in danger?’ She thought to herself.

She caught some blankets that were thrown to her, glancing down at them as Danica was speaking, then looking back to her, “I don’t know, but it’s worth a shot, worst case scenario is that I turn to dust, then at least you won’t have to worry about me anymore.” She weakling chuckled, throwing the blanket over her body, trying to cover as much of her exposed skin as possible; she was starting to wish she never came back home, though if she wasn’t experiencing this chaos here, she’d probably be experiencing it wherever else she’d be.
Clearly this is the book he's referring too.

Scarlet Warrington

Location: Town Center
Interacting With: Beautiful Woman (Now a man, what?)

Scarlet let out a sigh as she gazed at all the chaos that still was going on, the press being relentless, medical staff getting people stabilized and sent off to the probably nearby hospital and it was just a pain for her. She didn’t mind working the hard way to get answers for her questions, but she could certainly get things done faster should she just flash her badge and get anything she wanted from the town, but the downside to that was some people would no doubt close their mouth if they got a whiff of her, whether they had something to hid or not, she knew not everyone liked authority figures.

She glanced up at the sky when it started to lightly drizzle, “Great, rain, a lot of that evidence is going to be washed away,” She paused for a moment, looking to her faithful furry companion, “Well what should we do? Stay and investigate further or head back to the inn?” Rex responding with eager barks, indicating he wanted to stay and search around, like owner like dog, Rex clearly as much of a workaholic as Scarlet was.

Scarlet happened to look over near the ambulances, seeing a very beautiful looking woman, surrounded by blue light and then as someone walked past her view, the woman was now a man, she blinked and rubbed her eyes, thinking her eyes had been playing tricks on her. She started to become suspicious of the man based on the box he had in his hands as well as the way he seemed particularly interested in the scene, more so than a lot of the crowd who were either shocked or amazed or both, he didn’t seem to be either of those things, she’d need to find out who he was and why he was so interested in this scene, but not give herself away.

She looked back to Rex again, kneeling down to meet his eye level, “Okay boy, see that man over there?” She pointed, Rex looking over then back to her, barking to acknowledge he saw, “I want you to pretend you escaped from me and be friendly towards him, that’ll give me the excuse I need to chat him up and be nice, understand?” She said a little more sternly, knowing how he could sometimes be a bit over protective.

Rex barked a few more times to her, “Oh, I’m the one who needs to be nice? Mr. Overprotective?” She teased with a chuckle, “Okay, I’ll behave as well, now go on pup, no time to waste.” She gave him one last fuss before Rex took off towards the man, letting the leash easily slip through her finger, then after a few seconds she started her act, chasing after him.

“Come back her you silly mutt.” She shouted to Rex who continued to run, slipping through the crowd of people till he made it to the man that Scarlet had spotted, rubbing against and jumping up at him, eventually Scarlet made it over to the two of them, grabbing Rex’s leash and pulled him off the man, “Down boy, you know better than to bother strangers,” She spoke as she kept up her facade, then turned her attention to the man, “I’m sorry about that, he tends to get excited when there are new people about and just wants to meet them, I hope he didn’t cause you too much trouble.” Rex barking before he was cut off, Scarlet giving a silent hand signal to be quite and sit down, which he did.

Elizabeth Hawthorne

Location: Emergency Room
Interacting With: Danica Graves @Lady Amalthea

Elizabeth looked up at Danica when she explained to her that she was a demon, looking down at her hands for a moment, “I’m a...demon?” She pondered to herself, not as scared now that she at least had some sort of answer, though it was still perplexing to her, “Was I always like this or did I become like this after the attack?” She asked herself under her breath and then felt her teeth soon retract back to normal, feeling them with her tongue and sighing a bit of relief.

Okay, say she believed this, that she was a demon, why her? And why would there be negatives such as the sunlight being harsh to her, then she suddenly remembered vampire lore that she would occasionally read when she was younger, but that stuff was just stories and myth right? She couldn’t be actually be a blood sucking freak, though the more she thought about it, the more it made sense with how she could smell blood that was far away as well as hear things from an equal distance as though they were right next to her.

She slowly began to get up, still not understanding fully why she became what she was, maybe it was gift in disguise, to perhaps fight whatever events were hitting Altsoba, or perhaps she was just being damned because the universe thought it would be funny. It was irrelevant when Danica soon started to yell, looking over to see her be pushed back against the wall, struggling against an entity that wasn’t visible, she’d have to help Danica now and then get some answers afterwards, that is if Danica didn’t trying killing her next, clearly not having a friendly disposition at what she now was.

She started to head towards her as she screamed for some help to be let down, the light drizzle that was going on outside certainly did help, most of the sun was blocked, though it was her luck that there was still a bit of light left near Danica, figures she wouldn’t get any sort of luck today. She hesitated for a moment, not sure if running through the small amount of sunlight would instantly fry her or if she could withstand it long enough to get to the other side and help Danica, “Fuck it, you only live once, right?” She spoke to herself, giving a small smirk with a chuckle before she darted through the light, it instantly starting to cook her skin; wincing and grunting, she pushed through until she made it to the other side where there was thankfully enough shadow to keep her from turning into dust.

“Probably going to cause you more pain just being next to you, but you look like you need some help and I’m sure you can manage a little pain in place of being glued to this wall.” She joked, heading towards her to try and remove her from the wall. She paused however when heard Danica’s heart, seeing the vein in her neck pulse with blood, calling to Elizabeth, the desire on her face would be visible to Danica, however she shook her head, once more trying to help her off the wall, ‘No, I won’t do that to her, she helped me,’ She thought to herself as she suppressed her new craving.
