@Morose Got my post up, sorry for the delay, wrist has still been bothering me a bit and my next post will be a lot better than the current one, was having a bit of writer's block, should clear up when I get back into this proper. :)

Scarlet Warrington

Location: Altsoba Police Station
Interacting With: Cecily Ashworth@Morose, Danica Graves @Lady Amalthea

Scarlet listened to the banter between the two of them, finding both of them be somewhat on her nerves already, though that probably had to do with the fact that she was in rough water with her boss and didn’t need any impedance furthering that trouble, it took her a long time to get where she was and wasn’t about to let it be ruined because people wanted to make her job more complicated.

“Look, save the banter for later, right now I need all files on the strange things that have happened in this town, I don’t have time to fill out any forms, I’ve been given permission to completely take over if need be, now I’d rather not do that, but I will if I have too.” Scarlet responded a little demanding, perhaps it was just the pressure of her boss wanting her to get things under control over there or the fact that she had been scolded earlier, but she couldn’t be nice if she was going to be hindered by paperwork.

Rex tilted his head at Danica when she spoke to him, not knowing who she was talking about and even if he did, he wouldn’t listen to her or anyone else for that matter, save for his owner of course. Though not one to remain quiet, he gave a few barks at her, shifting from one paw to another, clearly him being a bit excited, although he tended to be that way with a lot of new people.

Jessica Sorreast

Location: ER
Interacting With: Amy Chang @Lady Amalthea, Detective Hanson@Morose

Jessica gave a nod, running off to get the aforementioned peanut oil, she frantically looked around to no avail however, “I couldn’t find the oil that you were looking for, what are we going to do now?” Jessica asked. It figured things would be getting more and more hectic, if it wasn’t people getting their limbs cut off, it was strange burns appearing on their patients like the one before them.

She noticed how weak Hanson was looking and could tell that they had do do something quickly or he wouldn’t make it. “Mountain View Cemetery? And will we be needing to dig up this guy’s corpse or is it just laid out for us?” She asked a bit sarcastically, although she was a little nervous, she didn’t like losing patients, it’s one of the things that she found difficult about her line of work, needing to power through such things as death and it did eventually eat away at you.

She then turned her attention to Amy, “Look, we need to do something and fast, otherwise this guy isn’t going to make it, as strange as all this, it may be our only chance at saving this guy, can’t be any stranger than the woman who got back up after being dead, ya know?” Although burning a body was the last thing she would do as a form of medical treatment, it being more voodoo than medical science, with all the strange phenomenons going on in the town as of recent, she was willing to try anything to help her patient.
@Morose I'll try to have something up later today/tonight, was having some wrist pain the past few days, so it made typing difficult, but it's better for the most part now.
Xeviiy Sinclair
Leon Athos

Coruscant

“Oh, well I don’t think I’d have the courage to openly stand up to the council, but after hearing you, I knew that I had to come and help with this war.” She said enthusiastically, knowing that upon her return she was probably going to be reprimanded, but she’d cross that bridge when they came to it. Her attention soon turned to another Jedi that Aria called too, impressed that even Jedi Knights who were meant to be almost as calm and level headed as masters were there as well.

“Oh, it’s a pleasure to meet you too master, I’m Xeviiy Sinclair.” She extended her hand out, shaking his, “Oh, well I haven’t even seen combat yet and to be honest, I’m not much of a fighter either, but I will fight if I have too.” She added eagerly and either not knowing or rather lying to herself, she was a bit eager to face the Mandalorians, that strange conflict continuing in her, whilst it may not have reflected on the outside, inside she was looking forward to the fight, some Padawans and Knights sharing the feeling with an outward expression.

Leon looked over the Jedi and soldiers that were eagerly waiting to take the fight to the Mandalorians, whilst he was grateful the Jedi were here, he wondered what sort of trouble it would cause for them when they returned to the Council, he remembered how the Jedi Masters urged for caution and assessment of the situation first but far too many had been inspired by Aria to listen to them. He was broken out of his thought when Arren spoke to him, “Right, this war ain’t going to wait for us.” He responded before speaking into his communicator, “This is Major Athos, begin lift off.” There was a pause for a moment before the pilot responded, “Yes sir.” The ship soon beginning to rumble as the engines turned on and then slowly lifted into the air, exiting the planet and soon went into hyperspace.

Everyone was starting to settle in as the ship traveled through hyperspace, some conversing with each other whilst others found a seat, Leon saw Xeviiy go over to a fairly empty spot and decided to head over next to her, “So how you doing kid? You ready for this?”

“I wish you’d stop calling me that, old man.” She said as she smirked to him.

“Well when you’re my age, I will stop calling you that.” He chuckled in return.

“Yes Major, I’m ready for the fight, I feel...better having reflected on my training before,” She spoke, pausing for a moment when she noticed his lightsaber hanging from his belt, “I thought you had given up being a Jedi, so what’s that?” She smirked once more, pointing to his hilt.

“Well that’s good, can’t have one of my favorite Jedi dying now can we?” He gave a gentle smile to her and then looked to his belt when she commented on his lightsaber, “Oh this, well it’s always good to have a backup with you and plus it’d be too much hassle to disassemble it.” He lightly chuckled.

“Well that’s clearly not true Major, surely you could have a vibrosword or something if you wanted a backup, I think you want to be a Jedi again and you’ll jump to your blade the first chance you get.” She grinned to him, feeling he was hiding the actual reason for carrying his saber.

“Seems you’ve gotten a bit more bold with your words than when we last spoke,” He chuckled once more then added, “I do miss the Jedi, but I’m a Republic dog of the military first and foremost, but having my old blade with me is comforting, just knowing that it’s there puts my mind at ease a little more.”

“I can understand that Major, but since this is a war, shouldn’t we be using our best abilities possible, such as you using your blade and the force?”

“Whilst you are right, I also have the soldiers of the Republic to lead, if they see me entering combat as a Jedi and not as a soldier such as them, they could feel threatened by this war, compare themselves to me and not bother trying before we get started.”

“But wouldn’t you being a Jedi as well as a soldier be even more inspiring?” She asked, confused that they would view their leader less so as a Jedi than not.

He decided to speak a little quieter, “Some soldiers in the Republic don’t view the Jedi as great heroes, they view them as people who do nothing and get all the credit whilst they work hard and get little in return sometimes.”

“What? They view the Jedi as less than them?” She asked in shock, looking to some of the Republic soldiers and then back to Leon.

“Sort of and not all of them, they view the Jedi as people who have it easy and just wave their hands and cast magic to fix the problem, meanwhile they have to train and work hard to advance in their career, I don’t see it as such, then again I was trained by them, so that might have something to do with it, but still, those are my reasons and even though there are many Jedi, this war will need the Republic or it’ll be over sooner than expected.

Well Xeviiy started to understand his reasoning a little better, though there was some slight anger in her now, learning that some of the Republic soldiers thought the Jedi had it easy when she knew that training their bodies and minds the way they did was much more difficult than simply running drills and studying combat tactics.

Leon could sense the slight anger swelling in her and he gently rested his hand on her shoulder, “Hey, relax, it’s only a very few individuals that feel that way, the Republic is appreciative of the Jedi just as I’m sure the Jedi are of the Republic, I just wanted to be honest with you, you seem like you take truths well.” He gently smiled to her, Xeviiy looking at him before she inhaled deeply and then exhaled slowly, calming herself, she was glad to have Leon on this trip, he felt like a second master to her and would do her best to please him as well as the other Jedi that were with them.

Iri Asichi
Hyperspace

Iri sat at the cockpit of the transport vessel, going over the calculations that the ship was displaying and seeing how long it would take to get there, she still didn’t believe that the Jedi were heading to war along with the Republic against the Mandalorians, she could see the Council’s plea to have more time and view the situation, but in the same light, she also couldn’t sit still and let innocents be slaughtered by the Mandalorian menace and she probably would’ve done the same thing, or someone else would’ve, this was definitely one of those times where it didn’t matter who spoke out against the Council, this war involving the Jedi was bound to happen.

She let out a yawn and stretch a bit, she had woken up early to get all this stuff repaired and figured that she could catch a bit more sleep before she ended up at Cathar. She began making her way through the ship when she started to hear barely audible sounds coming from some containers.

“Hey, move your leg, it keeps hitting me.” Vras spoke to Noka in a slightly loud whisper.

“I can’t, it’s cramped in here and there’s not enough room.” She responded, wincing as they continued to press between one another and the containers.

“Well then just push some of the boxes away to make some room.” He grunted to her, the spot they were hiding in being a little smaller than they had initially thought, all of them able to fit, but not with a lot of room between them.

“If I do that, then there will be enough of a gap that Master Iri will see us.”

Vras was about to speak up when the small containers they were hiding behind began to shift, soon lifting into the air and then set down next to them until they were finally revealed, Iri standing before the four of them.

“Oh, uh master, fancying seeing you here, heheh.” Vras spoke as he quickly stood up, rubbing the back of his head.

“Well this is my ship, so it’s expected I’m here, the question is, what are you four doing here?” She asked as she folded her arms, an arched brow on her face, though she already knew why they were on the ship.

“Oh, we’re on a ship? We thought this was a simulation room, for training.” Vras responded once more with a nervous laugh.

Noka let out a sigh, “Just drop the act Vras, master Iri already knows that we sneaked aboard this ship.”

“Well she does now that you blathered your m-” He was in the middle of speaking when Sanjun rested his hand on Vras’ shoulder, “That’s enough, just relax, besides we have master Iri to address first.

“They’re right Vras, so you mind telling me what you’re doing here, although I have a pretty good idea.” Iri responded in a slightly stern tone.

“Well we heard about what had been going on with the Mandalorians and then that Padawan we had been speaking with gave that speech and we knew you were going to go and we had to come too, we had to be by your side to help you.”

Iri’s face softened a bit and then she let out a sigh, walking over to them and rested her hand on Vras and Noka’s heads, “I know you all are happy to have me as your teacher and the gesture is nice, but where I’m heading is dangerous, you all are still in training, not even padawans yet.”

“But we can help, we can f-” Noka spoke up, however was cut off by Iri, “No, you four will not be fighting, it may be too late to send the four of you back, but when we arrive on Cathar, you’ll be staying at the Republic base that’s set up, understood?” She spoke in a stern tone once more, she couldn’t have their deaths on her conscience, as much as she disliked being strict with them, she knew she couldn’t budge on this.

“Yes master.” They responded, clearly disappointed that they wouldn’t be allowed to help their master fight.

“Good, we’ll discuss this more when we arrive, right now I’m going to catch up on some more rest, the four of you stay out of trouble and don’t mess with the cockpit, alright?” She asked, the four responding with nods before she left and then headed into a room with a bed, laying down and starting to drift off to sleep, wondering how she was going to explain that four learners sneaked on board and were on Cathar with her.

The four of them went over to a small table with a curved seat for multiple people, resting their elbows on the table, “This sucks, we can help her fight, I know we can.” Vras said as he strummed his fingers.

“We can, but master Iri has the final say on what we can do.” Sanjun responded, “Although perhaps we can set up a battle plan when we get there, follow her again if you all want too, barring the consequences of course.” He added, a slightly devious smirk on his face, he was clearly the brains of their little group, always having strategies and plots that would help them with whatever they needed.

“Well we’ve come this far, no sense in stopping now.” Vras responded with a smirk.

“But what about master Iri, I know we all want to help her, but our help could put her in danger, we need to be careful with this.” Noka then interjected, she was all for helping Iri, but she didn’t want their presence being a burden on her.

“I know Noka, that’s why when we go with her, we’ll follow her lead, I’m thinking the same thing as you and we won’t get in her way, but this is going to be a war and even the masters that would fight would have a difficult time against the Mandalorians, plus the Republic needs all the Jedi it can get, even if were technically not any type of Jedi so far.” Vras responded, he may have butted heads with Noka from time to time, but he understood her concerns on this and wouldn’t really fight her on the matter.

“First thing we need to do is when we get there, find out the battle plan and then we’ll head out with master Iri, but we’ll also need to set up some battle strategies should master Iri need our assistance.”

They were all in agreement so far, until Noka spoke up once more, “Wait, what about our lightsabers? They’re just training models and even at their highest setting, they won’t do much damage to the enemy, if at all anyways.”

Sanjun rested his chin between his thumb and index finger, “That is a good point and were nowhere near ready to construct our own lightsabers...hmm, wait there might be a way, there’s supplies that most likely will be heading to the landing spot, they might have some spare lightsabers for when inevitably some of the Jedi’s weapons get damaged or destroyed.”

“Is that really it, rely on hopefully a shipment of supplies and then steal some lightsabers? I want to help, but not if it involves indirectly harming our fellow Jedi.” Noka responded.

“It won’t be stealing, they’re meant for Jedi and we’re with the Order, so we’re Jedi as well, besides I have a good feeling there will be some spare lightsabers and when we’re done, we’ll return them, so no harm will have really been done, just a borrow.” Sanjun answered back, he knew they were going to have to do some things that fell in the grey area of morality at best, but they had no other means to obtain a lightsaber.

“It’ll be okay Noka, we’ll borrow them and then return them, but our training sabers won’t cut it, you even said so yourself.” Vras jumped in as well, resting his hand on her shoulder, Vrol giving a slight roar to her as well, a small smile appearing on Noka’s face, “Okay, I guess if it’s the only way.”

They continued their planning on the table, a small holographic display put on the table to give a visual idea of some of the strategies they could implement, all the while Iri rested, unaware of her ambitious students’ plan to join her in the fight against the Mandalorians.

Antares Solborne
Hyperspace

The Crimson Phoenix continued on through hyperspace, streaks of blue, white and purple going by as he stared out of the cockpit windows, tapping the arms of his chair before spinning the seat around then got up, “Think it’s about time I got myself a drink, hard working pilot needs to stay relaxed, especially during times of war.” He spoke to himself, letting out a chuckle.

His astromech followed beside him, giving various whistles, “That’s not true Six, I work very hard, flying a ship through hyperspace is tough business, not everyone can do it ya know.” He smirked to the droid as he got a drink from the small bar he had on the ship. Six making furious whistle and beep sounds, “Oh relax, I’m not going to get in trouble with the Exchange again, well at least not so soon anyways, beside it’s just a simple package, we go to Cathar, drop off whatever the hell that thing in there is and then leave with no problems.”

Six continued to make his case with more whistles coming from him, “Yeah, I know the Mandalorians are attacking the Outer Rim, but the news says the Republic is confronting them, so we’ll have it easy, were so small anyways that we won’t be noticed, now stop bothering me and tune up the ship or something.” Six let out a low woo, equivalent to a sigh and then went to the engine room where the hyperdrive was, checking to see if it needed any tune ups whilst his master had a drink.

He glanced over at the cargo that was tied down yet was starting to rattle a little, banging against the inside of its walls, it eventually starting to get on his nerves he went over to the container, tapping his foot on the side, “Hey, quiet down in there, don’t need you being noisy the entire trip there.” It seemed to have worked and he began walking away from it until there were louder bangs against the container, he let out an irritate sigh, pulling out his blaster he went over to the pad, entering the combination to open the box, “Fine, if you don’t want to behave, then I’ll just knock you out for a few hours.” He spoke quietly to himself, setting his glass down and set his blaster to stun.

“Last warning, you don’t settle down in there, I’ll blast you.” He spoke once more, figuring that the animal would at least hear the intimidation in his voice, that seemed to finally cause it to settle down and remain quiet. “Well at least you’re not being a pain anymore.” He said to the box quietly, holstering his weapon and then went into his room, turning on the holo-projector in his room, seeing the news the Republic was giving, discussing the Mandalorian threat and if their attacks were to reach the Core worlds, Antares just let out a chuckle, “More business for me should they come, plenty of services and people needing to be smuggled, let them come, it’s not like the Republic’s had a good challenge anyways.” He chuckled, swirling his drink in his glass.

After finishing his drink, he eventually fell asleep, his droid Six continuing to check about the ship, making sure it was in top shape, it would need to be should they exit and end up in a firefight, not that Antares expected such things, but with two armies raging war in the galaxy, anything could happen, oh well, wasn’t his concern, just dropping off the cargo and getting paid was his main concern.

Scarlet Warrington

Location: Altsoba Police Station
Interacting With: Cecily Ashworth@Morose, Danica Graves @Lady Amalthea

When Scarlet entered the police station, she noticed the place was fairly busy, then again it was a police station, plus with all the recent events that happened, it made them extra busy. She approached the counter, giving Rex a signal to sit down next to her which he did obediently, though he was still a curious pup and looked at his surroundings and the people that were going back and forth further in the back.

“Uh...yes or rather no, not really sure to be entirely honest, I’m looking for whoever is in charge here.” Scarlet responded to Cecily, then looked to Rex when she mentioned her dog, “Oh, thank you, he’s a good pup, though he can be a bit mischievous sometimes.” She added on, glancing at some of the files that were visible, examining what was written on them, most likely nothing important, but she couldn’t screw up again, well not that she did the first time, but she doubted she’d get a second chance and she’d be lucky if she kept her job.

She was about to speak up once more when she heard Danica enter and then said the same thing to her that she said to Scarlet, that made her hold her tongue for a moment, she didn’t know who this woman was, if she was even part of the terror group, but her boss let her choose to reveal her actual identity at her own discretion and she couldn’t be cautious anymore, it would get her nowhere in regards to the local police.

Speaking up once more she said with more authority in her voice, “I’m Special Agent Scarlet Warrington, I was sent here to investigate the strange reports coming from here, so I politely request again that you direct me to whoever is in charge here.” Flashing her agent badge as she finished speaking to confirm who she was.

Whilst Scarlet tried to get some information on who was in charge, Rex took it upon himself to head over towards Danica, beginning to sniff her, he may have been for the most part obedient, but he was still a curious mutt and that got the better of him from time to time. Scarlet happened to catch him in her peripheral vision, whistling to him, “Oi, pup, didn’t I tell you to sit, now get back over here and leave the woman alone.” She spoke with a slightly stern voice, then looked to Danica, “Sorry about him, sometimes his curiosity gets the better of him.” She glanced back down at Rex who was giving a look almost to that of a big smile as he panted, “Oh you think it’s all fun and games huh?” She asked with a quirked eyebrow and slight smirk, to which Rex replied with a few barks, causing Scarlet to chuckle as she rubbed his head.

Jessica Sorreast

Location: ER
Interacting With: Amy Chang @Lady Amalthea, Detective Hanson@Morose

“Beats me, I was trained to treat the body by proper means, not with supernatural nonsense, ya know.” She responded before turning her attention to the man she was treating, not really saying anything to him though she was more and more perplexed as burns continued to show up on his body, seemingly out of nowhere, plus with him coughing up blood, if they didn’t do something, he would surely die. “Okay, if this is some spooky ghost shit that’s affecting you, then where’s this guy’s body that needs to be burned?” She asked him with slight irritation in her voice, she hadn’t had a proper break since she had started her shift the day before and it was getting to her a bit.

She glanced over when a nurse frantically came running over to Amy, rapidly spouting something that was a bit difficult to make out; she couldn’t help but like Amy more and more, especially her no nonsense attitude, seemed like a mirror to herself in that sense. She watched as the nurse began to faint, seeing Amy trying to hold her up before just letting her fall to the ground, letting out a small laugh, “Wish I could’ve seen this Jesus woman, sounds like it was really interesting seeing a dead woman come back, ya know?” She spoke once more to Amy, still trying prevent Hanson’s wounds from getting worse.

It seemed like standard treatment wasn’t working, he just kept getting more burn wounds and she couldn’t logically explain why, perhaps what he was saying was true, but even so, they didn’t know how far this John Moses’ body was or where it was, not to mention who would go out and burn his body and even if they got all of that, how were they to explain burning a man’s body to anyone who may stop when they see them.

“Fuck me, only I can be so lucky to have to deal with all this without any sleep, I’d kill for a ten minute cat nap, ya know.” She said aloud mostly to herself, gently disinfecting the new injuries that were still appearing. She thinking it be better if she just died, though that was mostly the fatigue that had settled in getting to her, blinking a few times as her tired eyes were drying out a bit.
@dragonmancer We could start now and perhaps more people will join as we go along or if you haven't already, bump your IntChk so it gets noticed and more people join that way, just a few suggestions, don't want to see this idea die before it gets started. :)
Count me in as interested.

Scarlet Warrington

Location: Town Center
Interacting With: Director Shedwood (Boss), a bit with Rex (Sort of)

Scarlet managed to make it through the crowd without drawing any real attention, though she did notice some people were giving some funny looks to her dog, but for the most part, she wasn’t being tied up with local law enforcement when her phone suddenly started to go off, “Great, now what?” She said to herself as Rex sat down next to her, quirking his head. When she pulled it out, it was her bosses’ office number, she started to feel a little bit nervous and hesitantly answered it, putting the phone up to her ear.

“Hello, Director Shedwood?” She spoke, trying to keep her voice from shaking.

“Scarlet! What are you doing over there? We sent you in to stop this and then we see on multiple news stations of what’s recently happened, tell me what you’ve been doing, now!” Her boss shouted to her, so loud she winced and had move the phone a few inches away from her ear at first.

“I’m sorry sir, I was up late last night going over the files I was given and had overslept a tad, I missed whatever happened in the town center a-” She was cut off before she could finish her sentence.

“And why haven’t you gotten the details yet?” He responded, still a bit angry but was trying not to shout at her.

“Well I was sent in undercover, I didn’t want to risk revealing who I really was and end up scaring away whoever could be in on this, sir.”

He let out a sigh, “I understand, it’s hectic out there right now and were constantly getting phone calls of all this chaos going on, but we need this taken care of, I’ll let you off with a warning, but you need to stop anymore of this from happening, understood?”

“Yes sir, but...” She trailed off.

“What is it Scarlet?” He responded, noticing she had more to say.

“Well if you want me to remain undercover, I have to be more careful and that means avoid local law enforcement so they don’t hold me up and potentially give my cover away.”

There was a short pause on his end before he spoke to Scarlet once more, “Fine, I’ll let you choose at your discretion to reveal yourself as an agent of the CIA and if you do, take over all activities involving the local cops, they start having a fit, just give them my number and I’ll set them straight, understood?”

Scarlet started to get a smile in the corner of her mouth, “Yeah boss, thanks, you’re the best.”

“I am, but again, you need to make sure that nothing else like what I saw on the news happens again, understood?”

“Yes sir.” She simply replied back, still having the small smile on her face.

“Good, now is there anything else that you need to report on?”

She thought about what had happened to her moments earlier, rubbing her throat where it still felt sore from being strangled, did she tell her boss that a woman lifted her up by the throat with ease and then shrugged off her gun’s bullets like they were candy? He’d probably think she’d gone insane and pull her off the assignment, no she couldn’t do that, not until she had some proof, “Uh, no sir, nothing else at all, just mostly what you’ve seen on the news, but I’ll investigate further and inform you when I have something.”

“Alright, see that you do so, goodbye.” He said before he hung up the phone, Scarlet letting out a sigh as she put her phone back in her pocket and then looked to Rex, “Well I think I’m on thin ice and I haven’t even been able to do anything yet, must be easy just being a dog, no responsibilities or having to answer to anyone, huh?” She asked, Rex responding with multiple, Scarlet smiling and giving him a fuss on his head in return.

“Come on pup, let’s head over to the police station, find out what’s been going on here and get whatever files they may have, sound good, yeah?” She spoke to Rex once more after she had looked around at the empty town center. Rex eagerly responding with more barks as the two of them began walking, she’d try the gentle approach at first, but if they gave her lip, she’d gladly use her authority to get what she want, she always tried to make nice with local law whenever she was in a town like this, but she wouldn’t let it get in the way of her work and if they disliked her as a result, so be it, her job was much more important than theirs, at least that’s how she felt anyways.

Jessica Sorreast

Location: ER
Interacting With: Medical Staff and @Lady Amalthea

Jessica went running over to the man who was causing more of a ruckus than he had before just from his wounds, he sounded like he was out of it, probably was with the amount of drugs they had been using on him for both treatment and test results, but still, this was pretty intense, plus it didn’t exactly help that the nurses seemed to be confused as what to do. She quirked an eyebrow when the man was spouting that a man’s ghost was making him sick, so far she hadn’t seen anything truly strange, not like some of the others in the town, so she wasn’t really inclined to believe him, even if it was the end of the world as so many were claiming, but her first concern was to get the man calmed down and then treated once more.

She ordered the nurses to give him a small sedative to relax him, nothing was worse than a patient freaking out which would only cause more problems for her and the rest of the medical staff. Her attention was drawn away from the man when she heard a loud whistle, looking to it’s source and saw Amy, then to the staff who seemed to finally get into gear and not run around like chickens with their heads cut off. “Look a like? Perhaps I’m one of those...damn, what are they called? Shapeshifters? Wouldn’t be as nuts as what everyone’s been spouting since I’ve gotten down here, ya know?” She said as her attention went to the man once more.

Jessica let out a chuckle at Amy’s remark, “Sounds like you’ve had a more interesting time before I got here, although I don’t think the hospital would find burning patients as an acceptable form of treatment, ya know? Still I’m not sure what to make of him or his injuries, keeps saying something about a ghost or something causing this, I know it’s hectic out there, but I highly doubt it’s something as rediculous as that.” She added on, still trying to treat the man’s injuries.
Xeviiy Sinclair
Leon Athos

Coruscant

The past few weeks had been quite hectic, reports of the Mandalorians continuing their attacks across different star systems, the latest, as far as they knew, being Feraxis. Not to mention the speech by the Padawan on the holo-feed causing an uproar for some of the Jedi, instilling the hunger for war, to defend the Republic, though it was quite obvious some of the younger Jedi just wanted to fight for glory and honor on the battlefield and the Council saw that.

Xeviiy had been present with the Major and Lieutenant when the young Padawan had been giving a fiery speech, she’d be lying if she said it hadn’t had an effect on her, she felt a tad strange about it really, she was hungering a bit for battle, but at the same time, she also didn’t want to fight, she wanted glory yet peace. It was a strange conflict for her, two halves pushing against one another, ’War isn’t the answer, all life is sacred’ One said in her thoughts for reason, Death is the only way true peace can be had, those beasts must be crushed!’ The other retorted, trying to justify her sense to go to war.

No doubt a lot of Padawands and Knights were feeling this turmoil, though it seemed like others had a quick resolve, more towards the latter. It wasn’t until about two weeks later that everyone had been assigned to different parts of the galaxy, checking for Mandalorian attacks, or ensuring that if the Mandalorians did come, it wouldn’t be easy for them.

Anna and Leon had been assigned with some Jedi, however as things were escalating over the past few weeks, Xeviiy was told to stay on Coruscant, but the inspiration from Aria’s message didn’t listen and she snuck herself on the ship with the other Jedi and Soldiers that were heading out. She’d be in trouble, but she was finally listening to what the masters had wanted, for her to fight and that’s what she didn’t understand, she was now ready to fight to defend those that needed defending, but the Council had now told her to wait, it didn’t make sense to her, isn’t this why she was taken to become a Jedi? To fight and protect the weak and innocent? It didn’t matter, she was here now and she was going to go through with it.

Leon along with his Lieutenant Anna had been waiting patiently as everyone prepared for the trip, though he was still a military dog of the Republic, he still had his lightsaber on his waist, the familiarity of it having prevented him from putting it away once more. He didn’t really think he’d be using it though, he hadn’t used it since he was a Jedi, aside from when he sparred with Xeviiy, not to mention there were other capable Jedi, but it still was nice having the comfort of it with him.

He saw two people approaching them, the woman he met once before, Arren Kae and the Padawan who had given her fiery speech, Aria. “Ah yes, Master Arren Kae was it?” He gave a gentle smile to the woman, though something felt off about her and the time before when they first met, but he just chalked it up to the adrenaline of war. He had been taken aback a bit by the woman that stepped forward, Aria sure was confident, that he could tell, “A pleasure to meet you, that was quite the speech you gave.” He responded as he extended his hand out, shaking her hand.

Leon and Anna remembered the speech that Aria gave those short weeks back, it had inspired Anna and Leon to some degree, but he could also understand the Jedi’s plea for caution until the situation could be assessed; it was different for a soldier, they had to do what their superiors said, but the Jedi, he knew they didn’t believe in instilling force on their students and other members, perhaps that’s why it was so easy for some Jedi to answer the call to war with little repercussions of the current moment.

Xeviiy moved through the crowd of Jedi and Soldiers that were there, she couldn’t believe she was going to be apart of something like this, she was nervous but that was quickly overtaken by excitement, she managed to spot Anna and Leon, as well as the Jedi Master that she had trained with and the woman from the holo-feed. She quickly made her way over to them, “Hey Leon, Anna, I’m here!” She shouted to them, Leon and Anna both glancing over to the other Padawan heading their way.

“What are you doing here? I thought the Jedi forbade you from coming?” Anna asked her, shocked that she was here.

“Oh, uh, yeah, you see...the Council thought I might be needed for...for my healing, yeah yeah, that’s it, for my healing.” She spoke, clearly stumbling to find a somewhat believable excuse.

Leon smirked, giving off a small chuckle, “Uh-huh and did they know that they thought this before ‘sending’ you.” He spoke, giving air quotes on the sending part.

Xeviiy giving off a mischievous grin in return, “Well I did say it to the through the door, perhaps very quietly, but if they couldn’t hear me, it’s their own fault.” She teasted.

“Alright, well I don’t see the harm in you coming, but make sure you listen to what we say, this is serious and everyone needs to be at attention, okay?”

Xeviiy gave a nod with a smile, glad that Leon wasn’t sending her back.

“Major,” She said in a stern tone, “You know this isn’t a good idea, your superiors could get a lot of flak from the Jedi should she be discovered she tagged along with us and you know what that means for you.”

He gave her an innocent smirk as though he didn’t know what she was talking about, “I don’t know what you mean Lieutenant, all I see is the people that are supposed to be here, if someone comes along that’s not supposed too, how am I to know without checking every single person?”

She cocked an eyebrow whilst giving a look that said she didn’t believe him, Xeviiy stiffing a laugh with her had covering her mouth. “Very well Major, but don’t say I didn’t tell you so.”

“Duly noted, Lieutenant.” He merely responded.

Xeviiy soon turned her attention to Arren and Aria, she still wasn’t sure about Arren’s training methods, but they seemed to be effective for the most part, Aria though she was inspired by and bowed her head to her, “Hi, I’m Xeviiy, I have to say it’s quite impressive how you stood up to the Jedi Council, most Jedi would’ve been too nervous to do so, let alone inspire all these people to face the Mandalorian threat.” She said, clearly showing admiration for one of her peers.

Iri Asichi
Dantooine

Iri had seen Aria give her speech, belittle the Council and whilst she could understand her need to protect people in the Republic, she didn’t condone how she had conducted herself, she didn’t like what the Jedi Council did sometimes, but she respected them and to insult them in such a way, well she felt it was brash and childish thing to do.

She had been given the assignment to join Aria and the others on Cathar, she was one of the few Jedi to be assigned to this war, though her capacity was mostly to give updates and help keep the other Jedi in line, the battle hungry ones who couldn’t wait for their blades to meet fresh bodies, though she had a feeling if that was the next planet to be attacked, she’d be doing more than just being a bystandard, war was a messy business and she had been lucky enough to avoid it, the only closest thing being was when her master saved her and the other slaves and that had really just been a small battle.

Whilst she was loading items she’d need for the trip onto a transport ship the Jedi were providing, Vras, Noka, Sanjun and Vrol were enacting their plan to join their teacher, Aria had inspired them as well and they couldn’t just sit by whilst others were fighting for the good of everyone and they were. They watched as their master went back and forth, taking supplies into the ship and then Vras used the force to knock over one of the supplies that was a few feet away from the ship, this grabbed her attention and she went over to investigate, giving the four of them the chance they needed to sneak aboard.

“Huh, could’ve sworn I set that down properly, oh well, no sense in delaying.” Iri said to herself as she picked the item up.

“Okay, go go go.” He whispered to them as he waved his hand, taking the back as they went up the loading ramp, just making it inside as Iri turned around to get the rest of the supplies in. The four of them found some supplies that provided enough ample cover for all of them to hide behind, their hearts were racing from excitement.

“Okay guys, this is it, now we can’t be discovered, at least not until we make it to our destination, otherwise Master Iri will send us right back to Dantooine, understood? So we need to stay quiet.” Vras whispered to the other three.

They all gave a nod, understanding the importance of it all and then within a few minutes, Iri finally boarded herself, the docking ramp closing behind her as she headed towards the cockpit, taking a seat as she pressed buttons and flipped switches, the shuttle rumbling as it powered up and then lifted up, it’s feet retracting in as it’s wings came out, taking off through the sky and soon, into space. Iri then punched in some coordinates into her nav computer, then seeing the stars stretch before her until she entered hyperspace.

“Well, it’ll be a bit before I make it to Cathar, wonder if the other group from Coruscant will make it before me?” She spoke to herself before shrugging her shoulders, it didn’t really matter, they both had the same landing zone, so whether she got there first or not was irrelevant.

Antares Solborne
Nar Shaddaa

The streets of Nar Shaddaa were highly active as many people from many distant worlds were arriving as refugees, the Mandalorians made themselves public and were tearing a path of destruction out on the Outer Rim, causing many people to flee their homes and try and find safety and shelter elsewhere and no place was really better for that than Nar Shadda. It didn’t have many rules or regulations, well at least none that were really followed, it was a criminals paradise, either for getting lost or trying to avoid someone.

A silver haired man had been walking through the streets, taking a path through the red light district, enjoying the view of women that were offering their ‘services’ as a companion for a night and as much as he would’ve liked to indulge in a night of debauchery, he had other plans, he was meeting with a group of representatives from the Exchange, knowing where the actual organization was, was almost impossible to track down, they certainly liked the shadows, then again, with an organization as large as theirs, no doubt people, namely the Republic would be on the look out for them.

After going through various sections of the area, he eventually made it to a building, that seemed run down and abandoned on the outside, but after entering a code into a keypad, the door opened up, revealing a fairly nice looking room. Inside were five men, all making exchanges with one another, either payments or other matters, one of them happened to spot the silver haired rogue and he drew, not yet aiming it as he approached.

“You got a lot of nerve showing up here after what you did Antares.” He growled.

“Hey, I know things got a little heated between us, but I figured that was in the past and we could friends.” He gave a false smile, almost patronizing.

He then pointed his blaster at him, “You ran off with the cargo you were supposed to deliver over on Taris, give me one reason why I shouldn’t blast you right now.”

“Well if you did that, then I wouldn’t be able to give you my apology.” He smirked, pulling out a fairly large bag of credits, extending it out to the man.

He took the bag, opening it, his eyes widening at the amount of credits that were there, much more than what the item to be ship cost, “Why are you giving us so many credits? Even with the interest that would be added on, it wouldn’t add up to this much.” He leered at him a bit.

“Well I know how important that shipment was and I did feel bad about it, so I figured what was owed was enough, now should your boss get that, he wouldn’t have to know about the extra credits and that could go to whomever.” Antares spoke vaguely, clearly intending to be a bribe for the man.

He smirked at Antares, “Well I’d say that your debt has been paid back in full.”

“Glad to hear it Jesadr, now I was hoping we could discuss work, was wondering if you have anything for me.” He wrapped his arm around the man’s shoulder, heading over to a bar area with him.

“You’re looking for work? You seem to have a lot of credits, I figured you’d be set and were just settling things with the Exchange.” Jesadr responded, still a little leery of the man’s intentions, though Antares had already played his hand, what he hadn’t said about the credits was they were stolen from the Hutts, so should they come after him, they’ll just be lead to the Exchange and they can kill each other rather than him.

“Nope, the majority of my credits are there in that bag and I need some good paying work, got anything for me?” He simply responded as the bar droid served them drinks.

“Well...we might have something, I’m sure you’ve heard the news of the Mandalorians attacking the outer rim?”

“Yeah, what about them?” Antares asked as he took a sip of his drink, quirking an eyebrow.

“Well someone wants an important item delivered to the Cathar system, they’re willing to pay big for it, sound like something you’d be up for?” Jesadr responded, taking a sip of his own drink.

Antares grasped at his chin with his forefinger and thumb, pondering the job offer, “Well if I’m heading to a war zone, then I’ll want extra compensation for my efforts.” He smirked.

“I would think running off with previous cargo would be enough.” Jesadr grinned back with an intense look on his face.

“Well I clearly paid you back for that mistake, besides if you had anyone for this, you’d just be telling me to piss off, so clearly no one is willing to take this job, no one suicidal at least.”

“And you think you can make this delivery rather than other people clearly more skilled at then you?” He retorted, taking another sip of his drink.

“Well I have managed to get through battles that the Republic was in, I’m sure you’re familiar with some of them, so yes, I can, no one in the galaxy is a more skilled pilot than me.” Antares gave a determined smirk.

“Fine, the job’s yours and you’ll get paid extra for this, the cargo can be found at docking bay seven, oh and another thing, don’t look inside the container, just take it to it’s destination.” He said as he finished his drink.

Antares gave a lazy, two finger salute before he took his leave, heading to the docking area, “Hey six, take the ship to docking bay seven, got some cargo that needs to be delivered.” He spoke into a communicator, a droid responding back with various beeps in return before taking off with the ship and over to the docking area.

The man was Antares Solborne, born on Alderaan and to a wealthy family, but that life didn’t fulfill him so he made his own as a smuggler, acquiring various debts over the years and burning and rebuilding a lot of bridges. If he didn’t know how to go after people’s desires, he probably would’ve been dead a long time ago, but his luck was still holding out, so that was good enough for him.

As he made it to the docks, he found some droids guarding the shipment, the container was fairly big, but it would still fit in his ship. The ship in question happened to land nearby as he made his way over to the droids guarding the cargo, they quickly raising their weapons to him, ready to fire, “Easy now, I’m supposed to be delivering that.” He said as he raised his hands up, one of the droids using his built in communicator to confirm Antares’ story, they quickly got confirmation and then helped him load it onto his ship.

He heard some rattling and banging going on in the container, but just figured it was an animal or something, that’s what it was a lot of the time, rich people wanting exotic pets. He soon started making his way to the cockpit as a small astromech droid rolled up beside him, making various beeps to him. “Oh, it’s just a delivery mission for the Exchange.” He responded as he took his seat, powering up his ship.

The droid made more beeps that sounded like anger as it’s top spun and it shifted from one leg to the other repeatedly. “Yeah, I know I was in trouble with them the last time, but I squared things away and we need the credits, so get the hyperdrive ready, would ya?” The droid simply giving a low wooing noise, indicating that this wouldn’t end well, knowing his master and then went about calibrating the hyperdrive, the Crimson Phoenix soon taking off of Nar Shaddaa, entering hyperspace towards Cathar.
