I remember reading that they stopped the robes because it cost way too much fucking time and money to make and give them every year xD What was the bridge to the third and fifth books again? And wasn't the making out scene some fabrication part of a Horcrux or something, like Ron saw a naked Harry and Hermione kissing and it was supposed to make him turn on them?
