You mean figure out the endgame? Yeah, we can do that. I think that, for a change, Amon should be honest about who he is and why he's doing what he's doing. There's no secret; he wants those who cannot bend to share the same voice as those who can. To become TRULY equal, without the abuse of power and authority. Maybe at his core, he really believes that bending as a concept, as a power, should go extinct and be wiped from history. What if it really isn't more complicated than that? Of course he'll kill if he has to, which is why he is the villain.

Well there are elements in Republic City that use their power as shortcuts. Gangs use it to terrorize and extort, rather than work hard to make a living with their gifts. Maybe he wanted Asami to prove something for herself and for him. You don't NEED bending to be fulfilled or be strong. And it served Asami well, until an event triggered her secret to reveal itself. Oh and yeah he died flying this dumb mosquito machine and doing something to Kuvira's giant stupid metal Gundam thing lmfao I don't even fucking remember what it was. Kuvira was so cool though. Hot as fuck. Would bang.

I think we have enough to get started. One last detail though: Mako DOES tell Asami, and Korra DOESN'T tell Bolin. Does that sound about right?

He did do an underground demonstration of his power for his followers to witness, yeah. Amon isn't above displaying his strength, as he even attacked the pro-bending arena if I recall correctly. The emo-haired guy was Tanno I think, and without his bending the dude was just mad depressed. I believe Korra and him somewhat mended fences later since having his bending taken humbled him. A shame we didn't see how living without bending improved a shitty attitude, but Season One did a lot of shit awfully. Going after the gangs makes sense, especially those that are fire benders. Mako is as good a target as any, and with his closeness to Asami it gives him two people close to the Avatar.

Yeah unlike the past I think we should compile all this shit together so we don't get confused later.

Then we'll have him find redemption somehow in the end. I think his willingness to throw away Asami to hurt other people was pretty dark, so exploring a brighter option of him doing all this to keep Asami SAFE--although she bends herself, and he wants her never to do so--would be cool. At least this way he won't need to do it three seasons later as a last minute death that no one cared about lmao

I'd call it delicious karma but that's just me. Breaking up with Mako in Season 2 was just Korra taking offense at everything she could; there was literally nothing the guy could say that she didn't find fault in. So Korra ruined her own relationship.

Woo, you're already going off in this OOC. I think that discrimination against a single group of benders could work against some, however to truly gain some support he would need to go after all of them and maintain his subtle hatred of fire bending beneath the surface. Any bender of any background could cause someone pain. It's those without bending that suffer at their hands, with fewer means to defend themselves. So subtle against fire benders in particular, but widely for the Equalist movement to hold benders accountable as a whole, since they hold more power in the world by nature. I'll need to hit up the wiki soon and hit up the older episodes to get into his original narrative, before the whole 'I R ACTUALLY TEH BENDER' thing came to light.

If Amon found evidence of Asami having the ability to bend, he may want to keep it secret long enough to continue having Mr. Sato work for him loyally. They both share anger towards fire benders for what they've done, but Mr. Sato protecting Asami shows that he isn't willing to truly erase their monstrous abilities. If Mr. Sato knew that Amon knew, it could either be too late and Mr. Sato could be imprisoned before he could warn her, OR he could warn Asami to flee their home with a hasty message... ORRRRRR Mr. Sato defects because he loves Asami more than he hates benders (in this AU anyway, since we knew it wasn't the case in canon), but I feel like this third option might result in his death since Amon doesn't seem the type to tolerate traitors to his cause.

Amon's bending status is nil here, as I believe we agreed on the advanced chi blocking technique, which means he is not related to Tarrlok. But the facade behind his disfiguration is true here; a fire bender fucked him up, and he wasn't having that shit happen to anyone else.

Would a passive trait be acceptable compared to an active one? Like, say instead of having something like Ethan's Iron Skin ability, I could give my character something that just increased his tolerance to pain or something? @Demon Shinobi

When someone doesn't show enough interest in an interest check to be considered for a role compared to everyone else who voiced far more enthusiasm and intrigue for it, then throws a couple pity party posts in the thread to warrant sympathy that no one asked for. Then it works; someone gives up their spot, a spot they asked for, after showing far more interest and desire to help develop the rp, because they feel bad for that other person.
