IN DEPTH APPEARANCE

Archie is of average height at 5'11'' tall, he has an athletic slim build that he maintains by swimming laps at the pool. His hair has a deep brown color and a slight curl to it, it varies in length depending on if he's taken the time to go to the hairdresser or not. For the moment he is keeping it quite long and somewhat free falling. Archie’s eyes are a deep green and are very easy to get lost in if they happen to lock on to yours. The only marking he has on his body is a tattoo of an arrow on his right forearm as a call back to his name.

When it comes to clothing one describe Archie’s style as ”Smart but casual”, you will often see him in a button down shirt in a fun pattern but with a hoodie over it or a t-shirt with a blazer paired with a pair of pale jeans or chinos, always slim fitted. He always says ”Whatever style you go for just make sure they fit for fucks sake!”.

At first you might not even notice him, sitting there at the far off table immersed either in a book or in his note pad scribbling away. But when you sit down and grab Archie’s attention he will be the brightest person in the room. He tries to keep every conversation he is in light and breezy, there is nothing he hates more than awkward silences so he will try to cover that up with humor and if that doesn’t work he’ll just go back to reading. Archie is laid back to the point of looking like he doesn’t care much what anyone thinks, but actually he cares a great deal about what people think of him especially his Phi Kappa Delta brothers. He always thinks twice before he says anything as to not rub anyone the wrong way or look stupid.

Being that calculated has made him well liked around campus and that is something Archie prides himself with. Even though he doesn’t deserve it all the time he can be very judgmental sometimes and it can take some time for him to like you back. If he for some reason does not enjoy your company he will be very dry and distant and probably make a comment about everything you say.

When it comes to work he wishes he could just sit all day translating old books or reading in a sun filled clearing, which makes him look lazy but that’s just because he is… well lazy and sometimes you will have literally drag him out of his room to make him do something, except if it’s for a party. He really enjoys to cut loose with his friends and is a demon on the dance floor when he gets a few drinks in him.

In the end Archie is just a fun guy to have around, the most important thing for him is to stay loyal to his friends and he will do his utmost to keep them happy. If he sees you down or unhappy he will be the first one to ask if he can do anything to make it better, usually by cooking you dinner. Because who doesn’t get cheered up by food?

HISTORY

It was a sweltering July day in Atlanta when Archer was born to Jessica and Garret Perlman. When the couple brought their new baby boy home to show their 3 year old Oliver his new brother the little blond boy made a sour face and blurted out “No, take it back…we don’t need him!” which would foreshadow the brothers relationship in the years to come. The Perlman’s where one of those families you see in those neighborhood pamphlets, a huge house with a pristine lawn, two cars, two kids and a dog. Garret is a bigtime lawyer and partner at Perlman & Schultz, where they deal with a lot of high profile cases. Maybe this is why he has always been very strict with his boys and in his mind steering them in the right path. Archers mother Jessica is a painter and owns a gallery in midtown Atlanta and is the one who always keeps her boys grounded.

Archers brother Oliver takes after their father, he was football captain, married his high school sweetheart, goes to Harvard law. Basically the golden boy in their fathers’ eyes, so Archer has always felt like the black sheep.

The Perlman’s are a very Christian family, and growing up Archer had to go to church every single Sunday and listen to a preacher talk about how they should live their life in a god fearing way. This is why he had to suppress what he really felt in his earlier years, Archer has known he was gay since he was 14 but being raised in such a religious family where he had been told by the church that what he felt and what he was is sinful and wrong. But when he was 18 and just about to leave for Pennbrooke he couldn’t stand it anymore and he decided to come out to his family. It went about as good as you would think, his brother just laughed and his father just looked at him and uttered one sentence “Then you don’t need to come back to this house.” And stood up and left for his office. His mother looked at him tearfully before she rushed after his father. When he arrived at Pennbrooke Archer had received a text from his mother that said “I am sorry that I reacted that way, you will always be my son and I will always love you. But your father just need time to process this… I’m sorry”. Archer hasn’t been back to Atlanta since. He talks to his mother on the phone about once a week still and she supports him now that his dad has cut him off.

Archers freshman year of college was lived in fear for this reason, was everyone going to react this way? They were in the south after all. He kept to himself mostly but he realized that wasn’t him at all. After a while he couldn’t keep in anymore and his personality started to seep out when he was around his friends. Something that surprised him more than anything is that he got really in to the Greek life on campus and rushed Phi Kappa Delta and they accepted him as one of their brothers.

This is Archers last year at Pennbrooke and now he has to figure out what to do with his life after Pennbrooke. Can he patch things up with the rest of his family or will he have to start anew on his own after he’s graduated.

Some RP ideas!

Hey guys! Wow how fun that so many thought the road trip one was interesting! I think we have enough people to start it! I just need to iron out some of the kinks and make it come to life (hehe) If anyone has any ideas please feel free to let me know! I was thinking of basing it a lot on the Left4Dead games i.e going from safehouse to safehouse and dodging special monsters like witches and hunters.

Anyways I'll hopefully have the OCC upp sometime next this week

Some RP ideas!

Hello there! I've yet again found myself back on this site, and I am in the mood for a character driven slice of life role play. I'd like to start a role play where the relationships are really deep from the beginning so that the story can be progressed and deepened quicker. I have a few ideas that I have liked before.

Friends in the city (Sandbox)
So this RP would center around a group of friends that live in a city and the bar they frequent and their relationships. You know we could let it go anywhere and have them do whatever. This would be a great opportunity to deepen the relationships between our characters and get a tight knit group together.

Best trip ever!
A role play about (again) a group of friends going an a trip abroad together. Also a fun way to explore the relationships between our characters and have them explore a new terrain together. Also this can be good way to start some drama having something happen overseas and seeing how our characters react to that.

Family Summer
This is a role play that I was in a long time ago and I was really sad when it died! Basically there is 4 big families that all have summer homes in the same beach town. Their kids have spent every summer together so they all know each other in some way. We would play the roles of the kids and we could set up a scenario where we work towards something like a start of summer party at one of the richer families or something. But to diversify the rooster a bit we can have characters that are local or people who aren't part of the families!

Apocalyptic road trip
I've had this idea of a RP where there is a group of people who travel from point A to point B in a post apocalyptic world, not necessarily a zombie world put where they have to dodge things and keep out of the way and stay in safe houses. Think the left4dead games or the movie "The Darkest Hour".

All of these would be high casual, so like at least 2 paragraphs per post. I'd rather have the pacing to be slower and have well thought out posts. Obviously these are just outlines and really rough right now but hopefully some of them sparked some interest! If someone would want to co-create anyone of these with me please feel free to PM me so we can talk and plan! Hopefully I'll hear from you soon!

Addie concentrated on keeping her breathing steady as she jogged down the beach, she loved to wake up early to go for runs as the sun was rising. The temperature was cooler than if she would have opted to take an afternoon run and hopefully the group would do something fun together this afternoon. She ran the length of the beach and then circled back. As she came to a stop in front of the back patio of the beach house she sat down in the sand and took her shoes and socks of and put her toes in the sand. Addison leaned back and took in the glory of the sunrise. She checked her watch it was already 7am, she knew that Ashleigh would be u by now. The only person that was up when she went for her run was Ellie but Addie was not in the mood for a snide remark before her morning coffee.

Addison sighed and straightened up, this first week had gone by fast. It could have something to do with her being jet lagged for most of it. She had come straight from the airport after a 14 hour flight from Thailand where she had done a job for H&M and their swimsuit line. So she has spent the week trying to stay awake while catching up with her friends. Hopefully they didn’t take her drowsiness for disinterest, she really did find it interesting to learn what her friends had gotten up to since she saw them last because some of them she almost never saw in her day to day life. Some more than others of course Ashleigh she saw every other day, and of course there was Blondie who she had been seeing lot of recently since they have been working on a campaign for Guess Jeans. But seeing him shirtless as much as she had in the last couple of weeks had taking its toll on Addison’s psyche and her feelings for him is making things awkward for her at the shoots.

She shook her head to try to clear it. On top of that she still had to worry about the radio silence from her brother. It had been about 3 weeks since she last heard from him. Her parents had long since given up and already cut him off but Addison couldn’t let go, it was her brother and the only one she has. She took out her phone to check but it was in vain because she had no new messages from him. She decided to try to message him once again.

“Hey big brother! You alive? Please let me know if you are dead! I will pay for you to come out here just let me know, ok?”

Her fingers drummed on the screen of her phone and then with a little too much force she smashed send, sending her phone tumbling down in the sand. Addie groaned and snatched it up shaking it as she stood up. She decided it was time to go back in to the house. When she stepped in from the patio she was greeted with a confusing sight. A large portion of the group was already up and uncharacteristically noisy. Not surprisingly Randy was on the floor after falling from his chair no doubt. Addison smiled down at him with genuine concern “You alright sweetie?” she said as she helped him up.

She walked over to the fridge where Zay was rummaging for her missing waffles and took out an yoghurt and rolled her eyes comically at Zahra as Ellie casually mentioned that she had thrown out someone else’s food. “Nice one Ellie, maybe it’s your cooking that’s substandard and not Z’s groceries!” She winked at her and popped a spoon full of yoghurt in to her mouth. She turned towards Ashleigh who was sitting on top of the counter next to her “Ash again remember to thank your parents for letting us stay over the summer again.”
