I bet they're a fun time for you. *Snaps my finger and a green-rimmed portal appears behind me, opening to a fantastical city*

This one is the only one I can actually get along with and somewhat trust, if I'm going to be honest. *looks through to the other side with a genuine sense of awe, taking a few moments before recomposing myself.* That's nifty.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Yeah, I figured you used that little guy. Did you get kicked out for that, too?

Little girl, but yea, she and the other two are the reasons why I got kicked out. *Goes down to one knee and ruffles the wolfs fur again.* I'm kinda glad it happened though, as it's given me the opportunity to pass on some "luck" to other people. *Gets up.* So, before I suggest that we go follow her and make sure some of that "luck" rubs off on her and that group, I wouldn't mind seeing that proof you mentioned earlier.

I've got a lot of experience with change, but it never stops surprising me.

It does do that. My own experiences with it have taught me that if you anticipate nothing, you can expect anything,.

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Thanks! You stay safe too!

<Snipped quote by Balance>

Thanks Mr. Soren! Also, just so you know, guns and knives hurt a lot less than forest fires.
*Leaves toward my camp*

*Waits a few moments after she's out of sight before looking at Soren and letting the wolf crawl out of my shadow.* Ya know when I said I was "lucky" during the times I've run into bandits and they "lost interest" in me?
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

EVerything changes. Life isn't real without change, I don't think. Luckily for us, there's a pretty good balance between good and bad change, even though change doesn't care.

*Whistles*

That is true.

*Stops reacting at this point.*

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Alright then. Well I guess I'll be on my way—it was good to meet you!

Good to meet you as well! I hope you have a safe trip back to your group.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Okay. I was... Yeah. Change is good, isn't it?

*Winks*

It is, though there are times it can be harmful.

*Shoots you a "stop it" look when Hestia isn't looking.*

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

*Nods*
Good idea. Do either of you need any firewood? We found a big wine cellar and we'd be happy to share if you do.

I think I'll be good. I've got my jacket and I can gather some tinder from some of the dead plants around here.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

Thank you. We will.

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

There are growth and change, then.

<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

*Grins, but only in view of Thania*

Yea, but it'll be a while before it starts spreading outwards.

*Doesn't visibly react, but you see a bit of an annoyed warning look in my eye.*

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Do you think they exist?

I've never run into one myself, but I can say it's likely they do. That said, it's starting to get dark, so you should probably start heading back to your group.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Where did they get their powers, if they do exist? One of the atomic buildings?

*Is quiet for but an unnoticeable split second before replying.* No one really knows, but most people I've run into consider those with abilities to be evil or crazy in one way or another, which is why, rare as they may be, those with abilities are usually kicked from their groups. Heck, even in what little info I've found about the past mentions nothing of people like that. Only thing that's generally agreed upon is that they only started appearing a couple of years after the end of our former civilization 300 to 200 years ago.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

I haven't ever seen one of those. They sound dangerous.

I know, which is why I'm glad I've only heard rumors of them existing, as unlikely as they may be.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Usually. Attacking us when we're all at camp probably wouldn't end well for them.

I've heard rumors of a bandit and/or raider group that tends to include those with abnormal abilities, so I'm glad to know it's just regular ones, even if those aren't exactly good news either.

<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

That's no good, either.

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

Please, do.

Well, from what I've seen, not everywhere is the same as this. There are some groups that have been able to establish themselves as small towns and even get some basic technology up and running, like lights powered by water wheels and whatnot. But in general most groups tend to either stick to one place, or move somewhat. Another thing I've noticed is that there are some that forgo technology and stay away from any ruins, viewing them as evil or unlucky. That said, I've seen one or two major establishments where they've started rebuilding after securing themselves. Anything else?
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

With bandits? They like to steal our supplies and cause trouble for search groups.

So they're just doing the usual bandit things? *Is looking mildly interested as I ask this.*

<Snipped quote by Stabby>

I'll be sure to. I want to explore this place a bit more, though.

<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

Do you know if the whole world is like this?

Understandable. I honestly find these ruined cities fascinating.

And I can probably answer that a bit better since I've been around and seen a few places, but only if you want me to.
