OsoComplaining about the source isn't.....I mean the points not where it came from, it's the fact that this kid needs people to step up, and send emails to this company. And if u want another source, the family of that kid has facebook page I can link to. least, i think it's from the family, might just be by others who've heard about his plight and want to help.
You can not like fox news and still do something to help, you know. It's not about the source of the article, it's about a dying child--and a greedy pharmaceutical company who previously gave people this drug on an emergency basis but stopped because of money....as if they don't stand to gain anything by his success story when their drug helps.

Former Enlisted Army, and very avid gamer. I have fallen hook line and sinker for Dungeons and Dragons, which has actually taken over as my preferred method to roleplay--as both a DM and a player.
However, my roleplay adventures started with writing, and I always will be interested in creative writing. I left for a brief 5 year stint (Hey, that's brief to an elf or dragon, yeah?) but am back and ready to dive into something (though what, I am unsure).
Happily married to my wonderful wife @PrimalArcana, whom I met at this forum (thanks @Mahz) and I can't be happier :D Love to RP pretty much anything. However, my time is much more limited than it used to be. My PMs are open if you want to roleplay, I'm known to do both 1 on 1 RPs and open forum RPs.

Saw this, it's been on the news, on facebook, and in other media. Basically, this 7 year old child needs a specific medication that has not yet been approved by the FDA. The pharmaceutical company who manufactures it, Chimerix, has been known to grant emergency access to the medicine Brincidofovir. However, they claim they have stopped allowing this because "they cannot afford it." This from a company who just received 72 MILLION dollars in federal funding. If enough people email them, or call them, or post this on facebook, they will probably *have* to grant this child access to the only medication that can save his life. So email away, let's get EVERY active member of this forum who gives a damn about other people to open the floodgates of the RPguild, telling this company to do wtf is right, and save this kids life. Without that drug, he *will* die. But enough people getting together, writing, calling, and sharing this story can make a difference!

hahaha, LOVE the firefly reference! Yeah, I was starting to like you too, Magnum--in the friend way, as you said xD Was always fun bumping into you Spam and elsewhere across the guild. I do *not* have a job at the moment, but I've been looking. Problem is, either Palmer has the suckiest damn job market right now, or I'm the unluckiest bastard in the city, I haven't decided which one yet.
And trust me, nobody would EVER pay me to play a musical instrument. Now, I might get payed to STOP playing one, there's a thought....I've never done pixel art, though I know my way around photoshop. I suppose I could try to shovel driveways to make up some money, there's sure a lot of snow in Alaska...most of it is melting in Palmer, but just before we left for Fairbanks there was a decent snowfall. THAT is certainly an idea.
But in the end, idk if anything I can do will save my tablet or laptop (I don't even need both, just one! Preferably my tablet since my best friend talks to me through kik more than skype). I'm pretty sure we'll come up with the rent, but I'm afraid the only way to do that is to pawn the electronics. Hopefully something will come up though, between now and thurs/friday.

Yuck to the clean. I was busy myself, spent 5 hours shoveling snow. Was ass-deep in it. ALMOST finished that part of it though. But I still have alot more to go D:
I'm in Alaska, in a small town. While there IS a library, I don't think it has computers you can use. I'd have to check--that could be SOMETHING, but do libraries typically let you use their computers for free? I don't even have a library card :/
